I went in on a Tuesday and spoke with Ron and told him I was leaving Friday and just needed to get measured and they can ship my suits to me. By some stroke of luck they were able to finish altering one of the suits by Thursday so I had one to wear right away at my new job. I love Milberns. They are affordable and comfortable and they know what they are doing. I will only ever go here for suits and formal attire. They also have some really great looking peacoats and sweaters.

Honestly, I think it was one of the best shopping experience I’ve had. They tailored it while we waited, then we were out the door and ready for prom. Plus, I browsed while there and I saw many stylish suits to come back for later.

Eric Ly: One word - RON. I booked my appointment online with a stylist and was assigned Ron upon my arrival to help with finding the right suit. Ron was as kind a gentleman as they come. He was attentive, personable, and professional. I learned more in the short 30 minutes about suits than hours spent at other stores. Ron made sure I was comfortable in the suits we tried on while also providing his feedback on what color matched my skin tone, etc. He also helped me find the color of a sports coat that I am totally in love with. In a time where great customer service is hard to find, Ron bucked the trend and provided truly extra-mile customer service. Let's just say I'm a believer and I'm sending everyone his way. I'm sure the other staff members are great, but Ron is the dude!

Kathleen Fetterly: So sad to see this iconic shop becoming a former gem of the Lake Street scene. I had a wonderful, grounding visit with truly wonderful people today. It’s not just the internet, it’s the overall retail distribution of boots and jeans. While a shop owner may create a certain demand, it is the corporations offering items themselves and outsourcing products that is alienating both the buyer and the shopkeepers who make sure customers are satisfied. I am grateful for the storied past of this wonderful shop.
Linda Atlas: They are my go to store for cowboy boots and everything Western. Their sales people are very knowledgeable regarding the products they sell. I grieve because they are going out of business. I wish them well in their next endeavor.
Liz Becker: It was the place to go for not only me, but my father to go to get riding boots and needed gear. 115 yrs in business from when Lake street was nothing but horse and cart. Really sad to see them go as they knew their leather and quality materials. Took the time to fit both rider and would come out and fit your horse for a saddle. End of an era for multiple generations in my family and I wish the owners the best in their retirement. Closing Sept 2022

RT 95: Tarik was very Helpful & is arguably one of the greatest custom embroiderers in Minnesota, his handiwork from last year still gets compliments to this day. It's a shame he's no longer there. Lids Staff is hard to come by due to Lids preferring to have 1 person operate a store when it's not busy. when It gets busy, that can be overwhelming for one person so the gate should understandably be closed because work is always being done for serious paying customers, not people looking to browse around. Unless someone is standing outside the store to regulate population then I personally would exercise caution when getting your hat customized here because that's your investment. Anyone untrained or barely skilled in stitching your apparel might ruin your brand new hat & return it to you in a unfavorable fashion. Be patient and willing to leave and return to pick up custom orders so the hat can be properly customized without being rushed. The store/District managers will spy on and pretend to be secret shoppers with the assistant managers & Lids corporate gets upset if their associates take a break and the associates aren't allowed to even sit down at their job, Not Cool. Please be nice to the store associates here because all of that on top of underemployment is what they're dealing with

Nikki Niedz: My fiance and I came in when we were doing some exploring after picking up a prescription near by. This is such a cute clothing store. The owner makes and has very high quality clothing. He is a very nice guy whose customers are his top priority. We bought two sweatshirts and two shirts. I would recommend any Minnesotan to come check this shop out. There's tons of MN gear here. Prices are reasonable. You won't regret it. There is a brewery right next door some come get some MN gear and hit the brewery. You won't be disappointed. They had all kinds of studio ghibli, miffy, sonny angels, etc. I haven’t been able to have access to items like these since they’re always out of stock online or at other stores. The prices were normal for the items being sold, I couldn’t afford a ton of things here but the little things i found i love so much. The staff is sweet and helpful with locating items or prices. She told me about things behind the register that I would be interested in. All together, i’m obsessed and i’ll be back! I’ll be sure to tell everyone i know about this place too. 3

Tamerial Ramsey: I was referred to this shop by my coworker for a prom tuxedo. From the moment we stepped in we were handled accordingly and professionally. The owner had exceptional knowledge about f various styles of tuxedos as well as many books to offer different styles and variations. The owner was so on point that she looked at photos of my nephew and was able to tell me his size - next day we took him back in and she was spot on. She was able to get exactly what we wanted in a FAST turn around. Pricing was much better than men’s warehouse where we originally started off at. This will now be my go to for any suit or tuxedo needs. The shop is truly a hidden gem and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking suit and tux needs.

A Sinclair: The reviews are absolutely right, this is the best guitar shop in the Twin Cities! The guys are all knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I don’t know a ton about electric guitars but had one repaired here to be sold later. They got it back in playing condition and sounding amazing within a few days at a very reasonable price. I asked if they’d be interested in purchasing the guitar and they were! I had very little info about the guitar, but they came up with what I felt like was a fair offer after they did some research. Even though I’m obviously a novice I felt like they treated me with respect and professionalism. I’d highly recommend El Diablo to anyone and I would absolutely do business with them again. Thanks guys!

The only downside is that like most other shops in the area there are only a few parking spots outside on the street. Highly recommend if you don't mind a little walking.

Christopher Goyette: We are starting an online store at Audio Research to sell branded apparel. Our first design came out great, printed exactly to our tough standards. We wanted 100% American made 50/50 blend shirts with printing on the front, back, and sleeve. Season and Andrea were very responsive to our repeated re-designs and changes up to the last minute we went to print and even provided a few samples of shirts in advance for us to choose from. We plan on running all of our work through them as we ramp up our online-presence. Having a locally-owned Twin Cities screenprinter to rely on, is one less thing we need to worry about! Don't listen to the 1 star trolls that show up in a Google review.

Daniel Hoff: The fitting went great. It was a fantastic experience, which I believe in a big part was because of my fitter Davis Tollette. If I’m ever back in Minneapolis and stop by the store, I will definitely try to arrange it, to only meet and deal with Davis Tollette!
Golf Director: Paul and Tristan were pure gold! Paul was the first to welcome me and was quite possibly the kindest most welcoming person I have come across in retail. Tristan was my fitter and because of him it was BY FAR the best fitting experience I have had to date. Smart, knowledgeable, patient - I really felt like he cared and wanted what was best for me. In all seriousness, if I ever break par, I feel like these two will be happier for me than I will!!! In many ways, employees like Paul and Tristan are the face of the company. Thanks guys!!!

Ryan Brubaker: The whole experience was top end and such a pleasure. Tristan Desplinter was my fitter. He was dialed in and seemed really excited about me being there and helping me out. It is unlike doing a fitting at the other big companies where they're pushing products on you and trying to get you out the door as quickly as possible. Once you do the fitting at PXG, you are hooked. They are on another level. Such a fun experience.

Switching between different shafts, weights, lies angles, etc made me comfortable i was going to get clubs im going to be able to hit and enjoy for many years to come. I can't wait to play these and see what happens. I'd recommend giving this company a shot and at least go hit them a little bit.
