My random Place: The experience when going to this store was amazing, the employee working there was so nice and thoughtful, he took his time to be patient and cooperative to me and the other Customers. RT 95: Tarik was very Helpful & is arguably one of the greatest custom embroiderers in Minnesota, his handiwork from last year still gets compliments to this day. It's a shame he's no longer there. Lids Staff is hard to come by due to Lids preferring to have 1 person operate a store when it's not busy. when It gets busy, that can be overwhelming for one person so the gate should understandably be closed because work is always being done for serious paying customers, not people looking to browse around. Unless someone is standing outside the store to regulate population then I personally would exercise caution when getting your hat customized here because that's your investment. Anyone untrained or barely skilled in stitching your apparel might ruin your brand new hat & return it to you in a unfavorable fashion. Be patient and willing to leave and return to pick up custom orders so the hat can be properly customized without being rushed. The store/District managers will spy on and pretend to be secret shoppers with the assistant managers & Lids corporate gets upset if their associates take a break and the associates aren't allowed to even sit down at their job, Not Cool. Please be nice to the store associates here because all of that on top of underemployment is what they're dealing with

This is one of the nicest if not the nicest mens store and now women’s in the country I may say. They have anything you need. I felt like I was in the Mall Of America! sharon: This has been my go to tack shop for years. Am very sad to see it go. It has been an icon for over 100 years.
Kathleen Fetterly: So sad to see this iconic shop becoming a former gem of the Lake Street scene. I had a wonderful, grounding visit with truly wonderful people today. It’s not just the internet, it’s the overall retail distribution of boots and jeans. While a shop owner may create a certain demand, it is the corporations offering items themselves and outsourcing products that is alienating both the buyer and the shopkeepers who make sure customers are satisfied. I am grateful for the storied past of this wonderful shop.
Linda Atlas: They are my go to store for cowboy boots and everything Western. Their sales people are very knowledgeable regarding the products they sell. I grieve because they are going out of business. I wish them well in their next endeavor.
Liz Becker: It was the place to go for not only me, but my father to go to get riding boots and needed gear. 115 yrs in business from when Lake street was nothing but horse and cart. Really sad to see them go as they knew their leather and quality materials. Took the time to fit both rider and would come out and fit your horse for a saddle. End of an era for multiple generations in my family and I wish the owners the best in their retirement. Closing Sept 2022

Jill Barrette: Rewind is hands down one of my favorite places to shop in the twin cities. From the fun selection of recycled clothing and eclectic assortment or novelties it is so easy to pass time here just looking through each of the racks and various displays. An excellent store to check out for fun socks, band stickers, candles, incense, or a nice new sweater or jacket. While I typically have good luck finding a new piece for the wardrobe here, above all else I love their selection of pins. Fun pins, cats pins, sassy pins, a pin for every mood, and everyone. Worth stopping in if you are in the neighborhood, or out on a thrifting adventure.

Check locally before ordering on line. We need to keep quality stores in our neigborhoods.

The guy offered to have it shipped, but for some reason, the store couldn’t ship it unless it was framed. The guy was super honest, and helped me avoid spending 3x the amount. He directed me to the suppliers website, and helped me get unframed. While he might’ve lost a sale, he’s definitely earned a customer in the future!!!

Specifically, Richard in the tailoring department. I recently purchased a custom tailored suit and throughout the design process not only was he attentive and exceptionally knowledgeable on the styling, material, and measurements he also went the extra mile to ensure that my suit was tailored perfectly for me and rush made ready for an important meeting. Adam Hoffman: Two years ago, I decided to check Heimie's out for a wedding tux after it was recommended by a couple of friends and I could not have had a better experience. I knew little of what to expect going in and Jeff could not have been more helpful and made the whole process extremely enjoyable. He was honest and knowledgeable and spent the greater part of 4 hours fully engaged working with me and my wife to fit the perfect combos.I am writing this review now roughly two years later as unfortunately a dry cleaner lost buttons to a custom shirt I ordered with Jeff. After trying to contact the clothing company directly with multiple failed attempts, I gave Jeff a call down at the Red Wing story. As two years have passed, I doubt Jeff remembers my face or who I am but he immediately went to work to help me find a replacement set of buttons. He contacted the owner of the clothing company directly and was able to get a replacement set of buttons shipped to the Red Wing store. On top of that, Jeff offered to drive them up to the St. Paul store as well as I live nearby... not to mention it was Christmas week!I highly recommend checking out Heimies if you have not before!

He took me from where he found me in my "fashion" sense and landed me into some really beautiful suits.
