Annie D: My son was in first grade at an immersion school, where they don’t start teaching English reading and writing until 2nd grade. Even though I know he will get plenty of instruction next year, I really wanted to make sure he was up to grade level with his reading. Sylvan Highland has been wonderful, and he’s progressing faster than I even thought possible. The tutors are all very patient, and great at getting him engaged, even when he’s frustrated or tired. But the more he attends Sylvan, the more comfortable he is with reading and the more motivated he is to learn. He’s actually excited to go to “reading lessons” now! I’m very happy with his progress, and feel much better knowing he will be on par or ahead of his class in reading going forward.
Heidi Landon: Teachers are knowledgeable of current course work, they provide students with one on one teaching, they communicate directly with the student's teachers, and help track due dates on assignments. They are flexible in scheduling and Sarah the director is absolutely fabulous. She will treat your student like her own, and this attitude spreads to all the staff. 100% recommend.

The school is very helpful with any questions and help with different resources whenever you needed . Example education and working programs. There needs to be more equipment and I heard they used to offer yoga classes but since Covid they have not 😢The staff here are so supportive and it truly feels like this school puts the community in community College. My teachers and admin and other staff have been supportive while I have been dealing with a stalker/abuse situation. I feel fully supported and safe here.I also highly highly recommend the herbalism program because it's one of a kind and the teacher, Erica, is incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about the subject.
Giotto Troia: This review is only for the weight room. The music is horrible. I don't want to listen to jazz music when I'm working out. The attendant on duty said they don't have access to the music... I doubt that.The equipment is a bit old but usable and has a good variety. It's missing some machines like leg extension and some specialized benches. But overall a good selection for a free-for-students gym and convenient if you're already on campus.

Aric Bertram: Went for the annual art sale. 2023 had 500 artists and 6,000 pieces of art. $2,000 max price, $50 average.
Daniel Appleby: The campus; the studios, the faculty, the students, the Art, are all first rate! And then the is the location. Adjacent to the Minneapolis institute of Art or MIA which is a wonderful art museum, right down down the street from the Walker Art Center which is an excellent contemporary Art Museum/resource complete with the late great Siah Armajani’s fantastic poetry bridge that takes one over and or back from the lovely Lorring Park where there is much to see and do.
