Jessica Husted: Such a great date place. The ambiance is romantic. The lights are dim and the music is great. The food came out very quickly.We had the cauliflower appetizer, which was great. The beet salad was DELICIOUS! The chimichuri steak was good but had very little chimichuri. Potatoes with the steak were boring.I would definitely recommend this for a date night.

Jay Smelkinson: This was my first time at this venue. It's a very chill place with everyone sitting down to watch the show. The food was good, especially the broccolini. I sat in the upstairs and had a great view of the stage.
Billy Cripe: The music was great. View from the back of the 2nd floor was restricted so be aware of that. They seemed understaffed because service was very slow.

David Speidel: First time in and I cannot wait to go back. I had the Irish stew which was delicious. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive while the clientele there was friendly. Jalen Bell: So when I walked past this place, my first thought was Gordon Ramsey’s famous tv show. Turns out they’re a local business, no affiliation. The burger was absolutely fantastic! Well seasoned, temperature just right, and it had bacon and tangy sauce that was similar to 1000 island. Bonus: They branded the bun with the logo which I thought was cool. Ordered cheesecake for dessert. A bit pricy but well worth the quality of food. I’d def eat here again when I’m in town.

Christopher Liserio: What a nice place to eat and drink with friends. Great vibe! Waitress was awesome. Asked her opinion between the fish and chips and the chicken sandwich…but before she could answer I just told her to pick and surprise me. She did not disappoint when she brought me the chicken sandwich!! Guinness was so good!!!! Then when asked how good the cheese cake was she said it was worth it….AGAIN…she did not do me wrong. S: Great service and like the new take on the place but who tf wrote this drink menu? Vodka in a mojito? Ginger ale in an old fashion? Assuming new ownership but can you have someone who knows standard recipes write your recipes, even with being "crafted" like tossing blueberries in a mojito without changing the foundational recipe which never includes vodka, please? Christ. At these prices you'd think the foundations you add on would at least be accurate. Also, $12 for drinks that have well liquor is pretty shameful as well, just make them all the $13 drinks with call liquor. Smfh. Great service, though

Mike Boardley: Beautiful, old school, dinner club. The outdoor patio is gorgeous as well. Jax Cafe is a Minneapolis institution. Dinning here harkens back to the days of old where men were men. They wore suits dinner jackets.The food here is quite good as well. My wife got the pork chop and I got the smothered ribeye. Both entrees were delicious and well portioned.On our next visit we plan to try their fish. One reason is you can choose which fish you want from their outdoor stream and pond. You are given a net and can scoop out the one you want.Jax is an excellent place to have a romantic dinner. So if you’re looking for a warm, intimate atmosphere, this is the place. We highly recommend Jax Cafe.

Jordan Hermann: If you've never been? Go. Nothing ever changes. It's a time warp. I'm surprised you can't still smoke at Jax. Classic supper club. Ya get yer shrimp cocktail, yer ceasar salad, and a huge slab of prime rib and wash it all down with a Gibson. All served to you by a waitress that's most likely worked there for 30 years and has an old timey name like "Dolores". Or you can always catch your own trout out of the stream on their garden patio, that's always fun.
