kraigompls: Jason did a walnut veneer on a pair of MDF hi-fi speakers I built. 36" x 7.5" x 14.25". They came out looking fantastic, I can't find a flaw and I can tell he put some care into how the grain lined up. It was a small job for him, but it makes me very happy, even though I may revisit the quick oil finish I did. A bit of sanding and another coat or two of tung oil would probably do wonders for them.
Peter Haeg: Jason built a custom built in mudroom cabinet and a separate mudroom bench/shoe cabinet for us. It was a really tricky build because of the space limitations with a door swing. He took a lot of time with us to figure out the design. It needed every bit of the consideration and it turned out great. Particularly noteworthy is his attention to detail, commitment to getting it done right, sourcing the right hardware, and having a design understanding to incorporate pieces within a larger space. He made a couple follow up visits to fine tune hardware after the install. We didn't price shop around, but I'm sure his costs would be competitive.

George Bresnick: Our experience with Adam Bischoff making us a truly custom-designed dining-room table so encapsulates the many laudatory comments in his published online reviews, that it is difficult to add anything new. We had a 100-year-old dining table with a lot of “character,” namely, a top with many old drill marks, and random gouges, cracks and stains. Lovely, but difficult to keep clean. The base was sturdy and beautiful. We asked Adam if he thought he could remove the tabletop without damaging the base, and create a new top for us. He appreciated the design of the base, felt optimistic it could be done, and skillfully pulled it off.It was important that the finish on a new top would be compatible with the patina of a very old and seasoned base. Adam shared that vision completely, consulting with us in detail about a compatible wood, stain and finish. The results were phenomenal. One appreciates what it’s like to work with a true artisan, after engaging with Adam and his furniture.

Unable to find this available via retail, we found Four Fields and Adam was able to make the table to our exact specifications. Polly Ruper: Another store in the Galleria- it is really wonderful. This is a furniture store, and it's mainly what we call mid-century design. My house is mid-century design and I would give my eye teeth to rip out all the old furniture I have now and get my hands on that spiffy postmodern furniture. The people are great and very helpful. I recommend it if you're just wondering around looking for ideas on what to do with your house.

J J: I stopped by for the first time today. I was looking for a few pieces of furniture. This was the 4th furniture store I stopped at today.The furniture is well made, you can feel the quality and difference compared to the other stores. The style of it is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The furniture was mostly really comfortable. The knowledge of the staff is unmatched, they’ll go out of their way to help you.My only complaint is the price for the furniture. But I don’t think it’s overpriced, all their stuff seems to be made really well. You get what you pay for and this is definitely not cheap pressed wood like many other stores have.

Unlike many furniture stores, I felt no pressure to buy anything, even though I was there to view specific models I’d looked at online. The salesperson who assisted me, Louis, was friendly and helped me decide on a great option for my space. When I decided to browse around after purchasing my sofa, I wasn’t constantly badgered by salespeople - I was left to wander at my own pace, but employees seemed readily available if I did need help. All in all, a very relaxing experience. I’ll definitely be back!

dahlthomp: Joe makes house calls!Step 1: Joe came to my home to make patterns of the couch and chairs.Step 2: Joe's shop sewed the slipcovers, using upholstery fabric I selected.Step 3: Joe returned to my home and fit the new slipcovers over the couch and chairs.They fit perfectly! In my opinion, Joe's slipcovers are better than reupholstery...they look just as good, with the added benefit that they can be removed for cleaning. Best furniture decision I've made in decades!

Kendall Englund: I had an old sleeper sofa that was 80s ugly, but very well made otherwise. I foundDesigners Best Friend on the internet and emailed him a photo of my couch. I wasn't sure slip covers would work if I wanted to pull the mechanism open to sleep on it, but he assured me that they could make it work. He came out and measured the piece, making detailed pattern pieces out of paper. I already had some fabric, but he can let you know how much to buy if you want to purchase your own or you can buy it from him. The sofa never left our house. It was supposed to take 3 weeks, but he was back in 2 weeks to put the finished slip covers on. They did an amazing job! You would never know this was not the original upholstery and each piece has a zipper in case I need to clean them. You could get a new sofa for less, but it would not be the quality of this work. I definitely recommend them!
