Staff is young and seems a little new at the job but everyone who helped us was eager to find answers to our weird questions and always looked to keep us happy. The food was surprising and very good, especially the charcuterie plate and the grits entree, which blew us all away. Adding delicious cocktails all around, I'd rate this a real winner.

Harris Kleyman: Chef Baaska and his team along with the staff at the restaurant put on an excellent experience that rivals some of the most famous sushi restaurants in the country. The fish itself is certainly the top tier of quality and freshness that you’ll find, they go above and beyond to import a beautiful selection. The menu is focused and has several options for a sushi eater. Reservations are recommended as space can be limited, and I’m sure it helps the restaurant to be planful. We should help them offer us this amazing sushi by being punctual and committed to our reservations when it comes to this level of quality and preparation. Go try Cobble and it’s safe to say you won’t regret it.

Linda McLoon: During the height of the pandemic, I decided to do taste tests of all the local Minnesota-made gins. There are actually quite a few. A friend found out and brought me a bottle of M gin made by Twin Spirits Distillery. Out of the maybe 25 gins, the absolute best is the M gin. It is smooth andTheir cocktail room is small but they have a very large outdoor patio. First the gin. It is an old tom style and is distilled from sugar cane. In general, I find old tom style gin smoother and a bit "sweeter" than London dry. Lovely.They have about a dozen menu cocktails. The bartender was super happy to reduce the simple syrup in my spicy cocktail. My husband got the old fashioned, which was a bit sweet for his palate. An additional shot of M whiskey helped a lot. It was, however, fun to sit and talk cocktaila. I also had the Team Spirit shot..their gin with peach bitter. Basically it is a short dry martini, and a good combination of flavors.In addition to the gin, they have a vodka, a rum, a moonshine whiskey, and a regular rye based whiskey, which was nice and smooth.One of the great things is that owner, Michelle Winchester, and head distiller are women. Woman owned, woman run. Awesome.There was an awesome food truck outside, El Cuchillo, serving delicious tacos. All around a great place for a fun cocktail, interesting people working there, and truly great gin.

Wine list is not huge, but prices are really reasonable with a house white/red starting at $6 a glass and their most expensive glass hovers just under $10. They also have small bites - almonds, olives, baguette, and a limited selection of pizza. Go when the weather is nice and they have an outdoor patio area. Looking forward to going back!

Linda McLoon: It is interesting how often we forget the tried and true and rush to the new. The Tattersall distillery was forced by antiquated Minnesota liquor laws to move to Wisconsin if they wanted to increase production in their distillery. However, their tasting room in the Thorpe building in Northeast Minneapolis is still open. Instead of waiting hours at the "hot" new places, come on back to Tattersall. It was started in 2015, and has been going strong since then.We made reservations, but even on Saturday night we did not need them. We sat at the bar as usual, and the two bartenders were awesome. They were extremely knowledgeable about all the various spirits made by Tattersall, and we had little tastes of some of the new items as we ordered.I did a flight of their two new gins and their absinthe. I liked them a lot. One gin gets a two week aging in chardonnay barrels. This takes the hotness out of their original gin in a very nice way. It doesn't leave it oaky. Apparently it has won a number of awards in various competitions. The Rosso gin is new, and it is very good! Apparently they added rose petals and berries to their mix of botanicals. It is a very nice gin.We tried two cocktails. They change their cocktail menu every 3 months, so it is good to stop in and have a look. My husband had the Houndstooth, which is rye, amaro, meadowsweet, and black strap bitters. We saw a lot of them heading out to other customers. Their take on a classic gin-based negroni was really good. Their orange bitter liqueur, their amaro, and their sour cherry liqueurs gave it a cherry back note that was quite interesting.They only serve popcorn, pretzels, and beef jerky, but there was a pop up Asian restaurant in the Thorpe building if you wanted to get food. They also have a room where you can buy their spirits. Nice!At $12 and $13 for most drinks, it is also more affordable than the newer glitzy places. It was a super relaxing place for a cocktail. And I love not having to drive around in search of parking!

Zach Patnoe: Hammer and Sickle is fun. The location in central Uptown is great with lots of foot traffic. The decor is fun and the theme is interesting in the best way possible. The mule I had was really refreshing on a summer night and I definitely wanted to try more. I ordered the house vegetarian special, which was honestly the best vegetarian dish I've had since living in Vietnam. I highly recommend Hammer and Sickle, and I will definitely be back!

Del O'Loughlin: We went here for a cocktail after dinner. I had the Bowtie on Fire, which was spicy, but well balanced with the tang of lime and sweetness of grenadine. My wife had the French Quarter Smolder, which was very similar to a Sazerac, but with a very nice smokiness from the burnt star anise.The drink menu here is pretty expansive, and we look forward to going back again to try more.The space is not large, and it was pretty busy when we were there on a Friday evening. The bartenders are pretty quick at making drinks and were very friendly.

They service was pretty quick at first, but then really slowed before we got our food, and it felt like almost triple the time to get the main course out. The food was ok, but again probably just busy, and understandably so. Would probably go back to try another time, if we make it back up before Grandma’s race.
Alex Staherski: Had such a great time here, I ended up coming for a second night in a row so I could bring my coworker. Drinks are outstanding, particularly the really impressive Martini presentation, some of the best oysters I've ever had, and Jordan is a super fun bartender who makes you feel welcomed and engaged, and who has great recommendations for whatever else you're looking for in the area.

They have dozens of infusion flavors to try. They always have new drinks and specials rotating on the menu to keep things fresh. Their specialty cocktails are unique, poured with double shots and well priced. The owners and bartenders are super friendly. I'd recommend the Rum Old Fashion, Raspberry Mint Moscow Mule, Bees Knees, and play the bartender roulette. 5 stars for the Pocket Square!

Alec Chiquoine: Excellent cocktail lounge. All the spirits are distilled there as well and they do a great job. Family owned and operated. Service was outstanding and prices were reasonable. Try the rum-based old fashioned. Highly recommend!

Katie Kennedy: It's such a wonderful little cocktail lounge. Their menus are seasonal, and I particularly enjoy their winter menu. I had a sweat potato cocktail and a white russian. Both were delicious, my partner had a tiki cocktail and the owner uses his own tiki glasses! The tiki drink was also really good.
R S: Double pours, great price and service! We also had great immediate service. They distil their own liquor right here! We were looking for a distillery/cocktail lounge near the cities without the downtown prices and glad to have stumbled here.

Lynn Martin: We went early, around 7pm, on a Friday for a cocktail. Loved the atmosphere, the view and attentive, friendly service. The drinks were beautiful and tasted fantastic. It was a great place to sit and chat. I can understand how going early is key to finding a place to sit and enjoy the view. Seating is limited. We did not eat there so I can't comment on the food.

Adrian Agresta: . The pretzels were hot, fresh, and tasty. The Reuben was solid but lacked "tang". That being said, I'd probably have the Reuben again but not before trying some other sandwiches.
Chris Goggin: covered patio on summer days - watching all the dogs and dog parents. Or inside at a booth or hi top. Food is good, a nice selection for everyone. Full bar and long list of Beers. Good parking both on and off street.Today’s selection was brunch - which was very tasty, service was great, and lots of coffee refills.
