Center for Blade Arts: what do users think?

Brandon DiMartino (Orion): Great nice place and people

Ian Harrison: This is not a review, more of a question - is this place still in business? I have called and emailed numerous times, but have yet to hear back???

William Anstedt: If your interested in learning about different types of swordplay, this is the place to learn it.

Wilhelm Potgieter: I fence here, so I'm a little biased, but this place is lovely and I actively recommend it to anyone interested in learning how to use a sword.

Troy Borgersen: Great people, great instructors and a great environment

Isabelle Wong: I've fenced at Center for Blade Arts from 4 years now and not only have I met amazing people, I've always has a fun experience learning from the coaches. No matter what class I'm in, they are quick to help me improve. The staff at this club quickly foster a sense of community and I'm so glad to have chosen CBA.

Gillian Pete: I've been fencing at Center for Blade Arts for six years, and I've met fencers of all age groups, skill levels, and time commitments, and the club welcomes them all with open arms. Whether you're there to be competitive and go to tournaments, or have just fun and try a new sport, CBA has a place for you. I'd highly recommend trying it out.

Annika Ostrowski: A wonderful fencing experience. The coaches are fun and chill, the drills are fairly easy to catch on to, and the people there are generally kind.

Stella Robinson: I started fencing here in April of 2008, back in the days when this was the Minnesota Sword Club. I liked MSC, but there were issues with management and the upkeep of the building. However, in 2018 there was a change in ownership, and the Center for Blade Arts has made much-needed updates to the physical gym space, as well as improving the organization of classes. It really feels like coaches want every student to succeed, and it is clear that the new management is actively making an effort to listen to and apply feedback from customers. In the twelve years that I have been fencing here, this club has become like a second home to me. No matter your age or experience level, I highly recommend giving CBA a try.

Artistic Influence: Teen took a one week beginners camp and learned a lot. They seemed a bit disorganized, not sure how many instructors there are? Would be nice to have that info. on their website. Their website could be easier to understand as well. Nice if there was a suggested "path" of classes to enroll in. Can tell the staff enjoy teaching though.

Minnesota Kali Group: what do users think?

Danny Faye: Best gym around. International presence. World renowned teachers and staff.

MOTO MUERTE: Great inclusive gym with one on one coaching option. Started here with no experience and have had a great time. The instructors are great and classes move along at a good pace. The classes develop in complexity over the course of the month and I would advise starting early in the month and consistently getting to a class.

Chris Smith: Best place to train for Muay Thai in the city. Highly recommended.

Sarah Davis: My daughter takes their youth classes and is absolutely beaming and excited after every hour spent with their instructors. Joe, Tim, and Kyle are truly wonderful humans who have found a perfect balance between instructing, inspiring, encouraging discipline and excellence but injecting the air with humor and kindness. We are transplants to the area and coming from LA I can say this type of environment for kids to learn about themselves, be in their bodies, and connect is a rare thing. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the other folks taking adult classes and as mentioned the amazing instructors are just an absolute joy to be around. Good vibes abound. These people will bring a smile to your face and inspire you and your family.

Justin Workman: Excellent gym!Always something new to learn with all the arts and classes available!Rick Faye is a wealth of knowledge in so many aspects of martial arts that I can’t recommend taking one of his classes enough!

I have learned so much about martial arts as well as my strengths and weaknesses. I have the community at MKG to thank. I highly recommend it!!

Jake Nordin: MKG is a fantastic place to train and learn. Great instructors and wonderful material. It's a blast!

Andy Bell: My experience of MKG is primarily based on seminars held in the UK and hosted by Guro Rick Faye and his excellent team consisting of Guro Linda Ramsay. While I'm not an actual member, I feel I have been welcomed into the family just as any other member might be. The seminars are second to none, with experienced guidance in different disciplines of martial arts.I can wholeheartedly recommend the MKG family for anyone looking to start their journey in Martial Arts

Connor Epinette: Fantastic place for both new students and experienced martial artists. Offers unique classes you certainly won’t find everywhere, especially their variety of FMA options

David Lewis-Frazier: Every time I've been to MKG, I'm greeted with a smile. Their students are happy and willing to learn a variety of martial arts disciplines.

Joseph Hrabe: A great place to try new things, learn the basics, and polish your skills to a high level. The students and teachers are welcoming – they teach and compete without ego. More than that, MKG offers a community that honestly supports you, whatever your goals are…can’t recommend it enough!

Nick Roth: This gym is great for all levels and of skill and intensity. It has a friendly welcoming atmosphere that is geared toward fitness and learning for beginners all the way up to people who want to spar.
