mary hite: My Aunt passed away on Thursday. Friday afternoon my cousins were able to give us details - viewing on Monday late afternoon and graveside services Tuesday morning. I called multiple caterers, many who wanted a larger order or more time. I left a voice mail at Best Affordable Catering. About 4:45, Wade called me back. I explained the situation and that I wanted to deliver a meal to my cousins and their families. Wade said no problem. I asked what he would suggest and he offered a nice menu. When he gave me the cost, it was much less than I had intended to spend. I told Wade I thought the menu sounded great, but what could we add? Wade added a second protein, vegetables and a dessert assortment. He gave me a time he would deliver on Monday. Wade did everything he said he would, called me when he had made the delivery and charged exactly what we had agreed to. My cousins said the food was wonderful, and raved about the Swedish meatballs! They were so appreciative of having a delicious meal prepared for them on such a difficult day. Wade was an ANGEL for my family!

David Sheldon: We hosted a celebration of life for my 99 year-old mother and the staff was most helpful in setting everything up and pulling off the evening. The food was excellent - way beyond typical banquet food. Everything went without a hitch. The only reluctance in giving a 5* is the funky location. Situated in an industrial district and a little difficult to find make it slightly lacking if seeking a prestigious entry location. But the rest well made up for this for our purposes.

Martin Benson: We contracted with Create for an event that included a midday "dinner" with wine and bar. We are not from MSP, so all arrangements were made by email or phone.They were awesome to communicate with during the planning phase, which included menu selection and arrangement of additional services such as a TV for a slide show and referral to a florist. Their suggestions regarding quantities of portions for appetizers were excellent, as was their suggestion of setting up a charcuterie table. Best goat cheese I ever had.The appetizers and entrees were excellent as one would expect of fine dining. The wines were good, and the service was excellent. Everyone was very pleasant. Not a surly one in the bunch!The event went off flawlessly. No complaints whatsoever and we would certainly use them again if a similar occasion arose.

Chef Phil and his team provided us all with such delicious and thoughtful food. The space was perfect for our intimate guest list and thankfully the weather held up for us to use their gorgeous patio for photos and our first dance as well! We still dream of the mushroom risotto cakes and can not recommend this space or this team enough!

Emily Temple: We had a great experience working with Crave and Ivy for our wedding! We had some non-traditional requests: half-vegan and half-omnivore menu, rolling appetizers/cocktail-style food all night, no traditional seating so we needed food that could be eaten with hands, etc… Ivy and crave made it happen and never felt pushy. Ivy accommodated lots of back and forth as we tried to make it perfect and changed our minds constantly, and worked with us to make sure that we had the food vibe we wanted, enough of it, and that it was within our budget. She also really helped to explain costs and why certain decisions might be better than others. Everyone raved about the food and the staff was incredible day of, too!

The staff were friendly and responsive during the planning proccess. The menu was so customizable which really helped with me having a less traditional reception. We were in a rush so we only gave them 2 weeks to prepare but the food was amazing.We got the beef sirloin, grilled chicken with mango salsa, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, penne pasta, with cheesecake for dessert and everything tasted so good. We had leftovers and I'm disappointed that they are running out. I can't recommend these guys more.

Katie could not have been more awesome to deal with. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and just all around wonderful. She always got back to me with my million questions and was so patient with me. You will love working with Katie!! And the day of the event, wow, what a wonderful staff. Rebecca, the lead, I just can't say enough how great she was. She was in contact with me throughout the evening and keeping me informed of what was happening, when I wanted things to happen, etc. She was top notch. And the staff she brought with -- so pleasant, friendly and helpful. I even had guests comment on how nice the catering staff was. And lastly and most importantly, the food...the food was absolutely delicious...fried chicken was divine and sweet potatoes better than I've ever had. Again, this is should be your only stop when looking for a caterer!!

They created a dairy free gluten free meal for one of my bridesmaids and the service was great. I loved all the food I ate, and so did my husband. The guests told us how great the food was too. I did not have a great planning experience - as a novice planner, it felt far too difficult to jump through all the hoops and get all the details taken care of. I'm sure the attention I received would have been fine for an experienced event planner, but it wasn't what I needed. However, after the event I was able to talk with their catering director, and I came away satisfied and confident that my issues were being addressed. I would consider them in the future.
