Cooks of Crocus Hill: what do users think?

Terry B: I look forward to going again and looking closer at what the ship offers and knowing more about it.

Sas B: Best ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever tasted. The staff was really nice too ! I tried a few other treats as well and all of them were just as yummy! Will be stopping by again on my next trip to Minneapolis!

Amy Nelson: The moment you step into this place, you smell the fresh delicious Roma of such sweet delight then you taste the delicious chocolate almond croissants, and you’re just in heaven👍

Lexi Schiffman: Took a cooking class with Nomi & couldn’t have had a better time! Highly recommend!

Michael Benjamin: The Banoffee Croissants were delicious! Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

ben delarosa: The French Pastry 101 class was gifted to me for Christmas. It was a really fun class and Chef Zoe was a fantastic instructor. Highly suggest this as a date night thing or with a friend.

AH: Best pastries in town.

Beth Kalin: Excellent service and love the delicious GF baked good options!

Elizabeth Leming: Cooking classI took a cooking class. It was a lot of fun, but we cooked in groups, so it was hard to have a turn at everything. I either felt like I was taking over or missing out.The groups were of six for those classes, so if you have that many you can be your own group.

peac29: We love this place, very sad to hear it's closing, especially to make room for yet more condos.

Gerald Strauss: Fabulous cakes and cupcakes. Great flavor and texture.

Kristen Hindt: . They also perfectly translated our vision for the cake decorations to the cake the day of our wedding!

Zachary B: Shut up and go here.....Are you still reading this!?!... GO!

Sheilah Wairimu: SweetRetreat puts my imagination into reality! 2nd time ordering custom birthday cakes/ cupcakes.Perfect taste! Great design! Just mind blowing!Looking forward for more awesome cakes soon!

Elizabeth Westlund: Amazing smash cakes and cake balls!

Erica: I can't express enough how satisfied I am with Sweet Retreats!! They delivered exactly what I asked for from a picture. The cake was a masterpiece and delicious at the same time, and that's hard to find...not to mention they have amazing customer service, including responses to emails and calls... This is the place for all your cake needs!!

Beth Gasser: This shop is amazing! We bought a variety of flavors. Cakes is moist and tasty. Classic and unique flavors. I had a coconut one that was amazing. Red Velvet was wonderful too. Highly recommend.

Jason Ostenson: Sweet Retreat Cupcake Boutique has gourmet cupcakes, cakes and mini bunts. The cupcakes are nothing spectacular. It appears to be all about the frosting. The frosting is sweet, flavorful and delicious. I'm more of a cupcake person than a frosting person so 4 stars. The frosting people loved them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoy your treat!

Dan Lewis: took matters in to her own hands and went and picked up our cupcakes from the other customers house and delivered them to our house. They had also gotten the order slightly wrong, so Stephanie felt so bad and as the owner knew what to do to make her customers happy. She went so above and beyond to make us

Jeimy Rosario: Great cakes and sweets

Hanna Gilsvik: Was very happy with the cake that Sweet Retreat designed for me for my mom's retirement! The raspberry chocolate interior was moist and delicious and everyone loved it. Would definitely utilize them again for my fancy cake needs!

Drake Friesen: Awesome bakery!

Kassira A: Getting 5 stars for the cherry pie alone. Not overly sweet or gelatinous or goopy. Perfect crust. Only other thing I had was the raised glaze donut, which I didn’t love but was still pretty good. But the pie. *chef’s kiss*

Wuryati Morris: Ordered several pies for an office event and they were great! Very reasonably priced. I'll be back.

Marissa Sweet: and also Pacski in several different flavors! On a normal visit, the banana flips are to die for!! It's definitely worth the visit.

Thirsty Whale Bakery: what do users think?

Alex Trembley: I’m not sure what to say about TWB that hasn’t been said in the hundreds of positive reviews before me. If you purchase a cake here, prepare to be blown away by the love and detail added to it. The staff is incredible and they will 100% work with you to support your budget and still produce something amazing. This is a small business worth supporting even in difficult financial times.Parking: Street parking is available and it’s usually pretty chillKid-friendliness: The cakes they produce are meant for everyone, including kids!

Leslie Lorentzen: Thirsty Whale was who we went with for our wedding cake. The tasting box was phenomenal. Only wish is that we could have met with someone about the design of our cake - we did send them photos for inspiration and it turned out really well! We only had a bite of the cake ourselves as we were busy running around, but I heard from others that the flavor and texture were great! A good experience and we loved working with Thirsty Whale!

amy siegel: I was lucky enough to have two cakes from thirsty whale and they executed the vision PERFECTLY on both and were so good about checking in with me and made the payment process super easy! The sponge was delicious and the fudge in the center was incredible! Cant wait to order many more goodies from them in the future and also try their peanut butter buddy cookies!!!

Concert Minneapolis: Always great. As of 2-20-24 i would confirm if they are open. Last i know os they are going thru a transition.Parking: If you can't find a spot on the street, Drive around to the back and they have a big area to park.

Andrew Voight: Probably the best donuts that we have had in the twin cities, hands down. My wife and I were looking for a new shop to try that we’d never been to before, and we saw this place had some pretty good reviews, and they are 100% deserved. The gentleman behind the counter that helped us was genuinely excited to have us in their shop, and about their products. He walked us through every donut they had, and gave us his recommendations. There was also a donut that they were “testing out” that had a pineapple filling that was extraordinary. It was topped with a mango icing and white chocolate flakes. Keep working on that, because that pineapple filling needs to be featured in a donut for sure. I’ll be back on a monthly cadence for the maple bacon donut, because the filling inside of that thing just might possibly be the key to world peace. Great bakery.

Nope Nadda: I had heard about these guys for months at least 6 months. So then I finally was going to swing by and they were closed permanently!! And I don't know how I found out that someone saved the day but as soon as I could I went in there to try them out finally... Turns out I AM a donut guy. I was just waiting for someone to make a key lime pie donut and they did it so diabetes here I come!

Cocoa & Fig: what do users think?

Susan Du: Cocoa and Fig created the dessert bar for our wedding. From ordering their sample box to coordinating delivery on the day of the event, working with owner Joe Lin was a breeze. It was important to us that in lieu of a wedding cake, our guests could have their pick of different treats that were elegant, naturally flavored, and not saccharine in the way that cheaper desserts can be. Cocoa and Fig was everything we hoped for. The friends and family were very happy.

Natalie Ives: We hired Cocoa and Fig for our wedding - we wanted to created a dessert table with a variety of desserts. They fit our vision perfectly - our dessert table was not only beautiful but delicious! Joe was great to work with and helped us create the perfect menu of dessert options. We are thrilled with our experience.

Monica Mack: We had a more casual wedding reception party and wanted a mini dessert spread so that guests could grab a treat as they wanted vs. waiting for a cake to be cut and served. We chose Cocoa & Fig and could not have been happier! The dessert sample box was a fun way to try out their different offerings and, when the day came, our guests raved about all the different options. Favorites were the mini key lime pie and butterscotch shooters! We ended up adding a small 6" cake to round out the dessert display and saved that to enjoy after the event. It was as delicious as everything else! Best buttercream we have ever had.

Jenna Younce: We are so thrilled we ended up with Cocoa and Fig for our wedding day. After a few last minute changes and a wedding postponement, Cocoa and Fig made all of our wedding cake dreams come true! They accommodated a special flavor request and it was the most delicious wedding cake that we have ever had. The flavor, serving sizes, and elegance of the cake was so amazing!! Working with Joe, the owner, was also so wonderful! He is so kind and made the whole experience special. We would recommend Cocoa and Fig to anyone and everyone that is looking for a top notch bakery and wedding vendor!! Thank you thank you Cocoa and Fig!!

Allie Stafford: , flourless chocolate mini cakes, and mini fruit tarts, they were all gone within minutes

Jake Mathieu: We hired Cocoa & Fig to cater desserts at our wedding. We had a series of mini desserts and a small cake. The desserts were delivered and set up by Cocoa & Fig staff in a beautiful spread. The cake design perfectly matched the photo we sent in and the strawberry champagne flavor was one of the best tasting cakes we ever had. The mini desserts were a huge hit at the wedding. We ordered the recommended amount based on the amount of people we had at the wedding and the entire table was cleared out by the end of the night which shows how much people enjoyed them. They were very easy to work with and accommodating when our wedding had to be rescheduled during Covid. We would highly recommend!

Diana White: I love the frosting on their cupcakes . We have ordered custom cakes from here and they are always delicious. I wish they still had their edina location.

C Weil: Cocoa and Fig made a small wedding cake for our son's small wedding and it was beautiful and absolutely delicious! The very best chocolate cake I have ever tasted--and I have tasted a lot.

Hannah Elliott: Cocoa and Fig was a great vendor to work with for our wedding dessert needs. My wife and I wanted cupcakes for our wedding and tried 6 different vendors prior to going with Cocoa & Fig. We decided to go with Cocoa and Fig due to high quality cupcakes, amazing classic and unique flavor profiles, and supporting a local business. Joe, the owner, brought us in for a personal tasting where we were able to sample and learn more about the process of making and transporting these wonderful cupcakes. We were sold and had a hard time deciding on which flavors to choose! Also, we had to make a last second change to the delivery location of the cupcakes. Joe got back to us promptly the day of the wedding to make sure the cupcakes made it to the right place. We highly recommend Cocoa and Fig as your dessert vendor for a wedding or get together big or small.

Sukanya Narayanan: In a very short notice of 48 hours, Cocoa and fig gave me a custom cake which no other bakeries did. They quickly understood my requirement, gave their suggestions and within hours they started working on the cake. I went with their sinfully chocolate and it's a must try cake for cake lovers. It was in perfect sweetness and the guests at our party kept asking for more and some had the cake packed and took it home.Theypacked it neatly and the delivery was on time. I would definitely recommend this shop for my friends for any of their special occasions. They have very good clarity of thought and they exactly understand what the customer wants. Overall a very satisfying purchase.

Jason Anderson: Always the best. I've been a customer since 2012.

Heather Ludzack: Absolutely amazing. Delicious and stunning presentation!

Will DeGraw: GIVE ME THIS BREAKFAST SANDWICH OVER & OVER AGAIN.Black Walnut is in a seemingly residential area of the southside of Hennepin [Uptown], but gets packed inside. it's a lovely place to sit down, meet friends, and just hang out. i don' think i would recommend it as a place work out of, but it's got a charm to it.would def go back again & again.

Katie Pope: kouign amann, and almond poppy citrus bread. It gets crowded on the weekends but if you can snag a seat inside or on the patio, the atmosphere is really nice. Walk right over to the lake if you’d rather take your food to go!I even ordered my wedding cake from Black Walnut! The Cassis Vanilla Bavarian makes for a perfect cutting cake and is beautiful and delicious.

A Baker's Wife's Pastry Shop: what do users think?

Ashley Chmielewski: Delicious donuts. 🍩 Reasonably priced.

Julie Lo: and upon checking the receipt, I noticed I was charged incorrectly. I was charged 20 glazed and 10 frosted donuts. Worked out for me because the glazed was cheaper than the frosted and it basically covered my missing donut anyways . Despite this, the donuts are really good, but the service was disappointing.

jericho hunter: . All I did was ask a simple question, “is this the way into the woods?”, after their prompt, UNHELPFUL response I left. Upon exiting the establishment, an endearing character approached me, “M..milky White, is that you..?” a smile wiped itself across my face, a familiar friend indeed! BUT……. To my absolute dismay, her head was missing! I looked around, completely bewitched… SHWOP! A rock hard object came soaring towards my face. On the floor I dropped covered in blood, “oh providence my milky white!”. With me were three witnesses: Jack, The Baker and none other than the culprit The wife of the Baker!Wheelchair accessibility: I left in a wheelchair.

Jasmine Baranova-Hart: it was a decent experience overall, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very inviting.minus points for the cow head thrown at me upon arrival though x

Carmen Oien: Love this bakery! Yummy smells draw you in. Authentic breads, crispy toast rounds, fresh flaky croissants, delicious cookies and pastries. Their dark roast coffee is a great go-with for any of the bakery. For the holidays, don't miss their gift-able peanut brittle and cookies. The best treats, though, are the beautiful and delicious artisanal cakes and cupcakes. Perfect for a birthday or any celebration. Hit of the party!

Rebecca's Bakery: what do users think?

Michelle Benson: Rebecca's European inspired pastries are addicting and luscious. They are not with sugary frostings or artificial flavors but home whipped cream frostings and real fresh fruit folded into layer cakes. The cannoli's are filled with slightly tart and sweet filling dipped in chocolate. My favorite is the Millefoglie, a flaky puff pastry layered with a rich whipped cream that is indescribable! There are too many creations to list but I guarantee, you WILL not find anyplace like Rebecca's.

Joel Abrahamson: .I also enjoy visiting Rebecca's for breakfast and lunch! The lunch menu has incredible

Sarah Staiger: The owners are kind and welcoming and everything is delicious. Beyond delicious. I bought a half sheet chocolate cake with Oreo for my daughter’s bday and it was the most moist and flavorful chocolate cake I’ve had. That cream! So amazing. Thank you! Everything else I’ve had is great as well. Coffee is excellent.Kid-friendliness: Engaging and fun for the kids to see all the lovely baked things.

Joel Abrahamson: A cozy place to gather with friends! Love the coffee and baked goods. The eclairs are famous. Try the Clint-style breakfast sandwich with avocado, garlic mayo, and sprouts on a fresh biscuit — my favorite! Recently recognized as best sandwich of SW Minneapolis. Lunch brings more delicious sandwich and salad options: turkey burgers, beet burgers, pesto are often my go-to.Butter is also notable for their ecological ethic: minimizing waste through organics recycling and new ideas like reusable takeout containers.Evenings often have performances and discussions, or maybe a pop-up from the Curry Diva. kay fritz: , Hong Kong style buns, Macau egg tarts, red bean sesame balls, cream buns. Friendly for those who are new and regular to Asian bakery, alike. Only one criticism..the honeycomb cake is not baked pandan flavored type. Instead it was steamed and pale white with no fragrance. I would love to get the type it is featured on the website. The food slightly different than the old store.Vegetarian options: Steamed honeycomb cake, sesame balls with red bean fillingParking: Free parking with wheel chair accessKid-friendliness: So many fun choices for kid e.g. hotdog buns and roast pork bunsWheelchair accessibility: Yes, I saw people came in with wheel chair and crutches

Francesca P.: Delicious! Tried the Coconut Roll, Cream Cone, Buttercream layer cake, and the BBQ Tofu Bun. The texture of the cake was superb. Spongy yet dense. The cream was divine. The tofu bun was slightly sweet, soft and warm— easily could be a fast small lunch. And that coconut bun! Magical be d of buttery savory roll with sweet delectable coconut bubbles. The cream roll was not my fave: light crispy pastry exterior and light airy cream. Just did it fund the amazing texture and nuanced flavor wow of the other items. Service was friendly. Decor was elegant and oh so pretty. The complimentary infused water was a wonderful touch, and helped cleanse the palette before tasting a different treat. Highly recommend!!!

Queen of Cakes: what do users think?

Brigitte Seim: We have gotten birthday cakes for our daughters' birthdays from Queen of Cakes for the last few years, and they never fail to amaze us! Our older daughter often has quite specific requirements, and they invariably manage to accommodate her. She was thrilled with this year's cake: a "purple and gold fairy" theme! And the cake itself is DELICIOUS - we always get a ton of compliments!

Bethany Wozniak: We had the best experience working with Queen of cakes. They were professional, responsive and executed my dream wedding cake! Extremely happy with the presentation of the cake but also loved flavor of the cake too. We were able to customize each layer of cake and filling so we got to try a little bit of everything. Would definitely recommend Queen of cakes for your wedding celebration.

Sandy Olson: My daughter and son in law were so excited about their themed wedding cake. Each layer was a different flavor and depicted different aspects of their adventures together. I was so excited that all of this could be done without fondant and it turned out AMAZING! They even supplied a rotating pedestal so that everyone could enjoy the details from all directions. I am just sad that I couldn't upload the video!

Pa Lee: It was my first time ordering from here and they responded back really quick. Communication through email was easy and my sister’s cake turned out perfect and delicious! I would order from here again.

Rashi Saxena: Love Queen of Cakes. They are my GoTo place anytime I have a special gift occasion. Always ready to incorporate your ideas with their creativity. The designs + taste…it’s just yummylacious…

Pam H.: Queen of cakes was an excellent choice for our Twin girls 1st birthday pizza theme cakes! They came out perfect and the cake was moist, definitely not dry from my past experience with other bakeries. This company was attentive to my questions and got back to me in timely manner. Would recommend them for ease of emailing, payment access and for any custom cake ideas. The first cake my son ran his finger across the side of the cake, so I didn't receive it in that way. Everything was in excellent condition and they do give suggestions for your cake.

Erika Bordwell: I was asking for something unique and the cake exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend Queen of Cakes! I will be ordering from them again.

Marcelo Monasi REALTOR: Highly recommend ordering your next birthday cake from Queen of Cakes! The cakes are flavorful and moist. Their customer service is top notch. And their cake decorating skills are incredible! Really, really incredible! The cake was the hit of my 7 year old daughters birthday party.

Anne Simpkins: Queen of Cakes did a phenomenal job replicating a scene from the show New Girl for my husbands 29th birthday! Would highly recommend.

Emily Braverman: Queen of Cakes did a wonderful job for my nieces 7th birthday cake. We ordered a custom “Mouse in Box” cake, to match her favorite plush toy. I attached photos below, the whole family thought the cake looked amazing.

Casey Dahl: Best wedding cake ever!!!! Go with the pink champagne

K: Amazing and easy to work with.

Lisa Bhurl: Incredible, incredible cake design. Everyone at my daughters party was asking who did it - multiple people reached out after to get their cakes. You can tell they really care about their craft 💓

Revel & Flourish: We had the pleasure of working with Queen of Cakes through a client. They are great to work with; professional and kind! Delicious cakes!- Revel & Flourish
