Castaway Family email: very helpful staff and the dogwash is cheap also you can get everything here. I have guinea pigs a bird and a dog family members and we get everything they need here. One of their staff its an older gentleman who also does the nail trimming even possibly saved our guinea pigs by letting us know that you can not use cedar bedding for guinea pigs as it causes respiratory issues and we never knew that and unfortunately have been using it. So thank you Sir for the helpful advice.

Gary Carver: Came here yesterday with little tires for my dog stroller that had crooked valves that weaved between my spokes. The guy replaced them with brand new inner tubes with proper straight valves and filled them up to their proper PSI. It was far from my house but worth the service that went above and beyond my expectations. The staff here knew what they were doing, something that I could not say for the mom & pop shops closer to me. I highly recommend this place!

Stephen was incredibly knowledgeable and spent extra time to answer all of my questions as a beginner cyclist. I just took my bike out for the first time since the fitting and it was like riding a different bike. Totally worth it.

Matthew Wiss: I dropped off my Specialized bike at ACF Bicycle Shop on November 6th and it was ready for pick-up on November 8th. ACF even had to order a part, and still rebuilt my entire bike in about 2 days. My bike has never shifted or rode smoother since I bought it brand new in 2015. I highly recommend ACF and will have all my bike repairs done by ACF going forward!

Their selection of refrigerated pet food is awesome! My dog recently got spayed, and I stopped in to stock up on lick mats/enrichment for her to keep her occupied while on rest. They had so many types of mats, bowls, and toys to choose from, so we went ahead and got a good variety for her. Bryan Mack: Best shop so far - I’ve had birds for 30 years across five cities, and Parrot Island is the best. If every business modeled themselves after PI, the world would be in a better place. There is no disposable plastic garbage or mass-produced “food” here. Every item is ethically made/sourced, and the owner KNOWS his stuff.
Megan Trainor: They have a huge variety of toys, food and everything bird. The quality of the seed is very good but have your wallet ready because its almost $50 for 4lbs. It is quality but I think it's still to high. Lots of profit there.

Having been a part of the Avian Veterinary Assn, he knows everything there is to know about parrot care. I am a newish owner of a white capped pionus parrot, and he has given me an awesome vet referral and great suggestions on toys, food, etc. I bought a couple of java branches from this store that are the perfect fit for my parrot. It is worth spending the extra money in-person, as there is no guarantee what kind of tree/branches you'll be getting when you order them online. Everything there is ethically sourced, well researched, so consider it money well spent when buying his products.So grateful for Parrot Island!

They only sell quality products that they themselves use for their own birds. Simply put, we would never consider buying food, supplies, or toys from anywhere else.

If that's out of your price range, the owner will still help point you in the right direction to find something as safe as possible, even if that might end up not being at his store. He'll be honest about the pros and cons. Very cool guy

Thecla Owens: So this was probably about a year ago when I moved into my new apartment. I was taking my dog a Honey outside to do her business like usual, and she happened to stumble in a bush of stickers that were just newly forming. It was a Sunday late at night almost 6 o’clock And I was frantically calling every place that I could think of that would hopefully be gracious enough to allow me to come in and fix my dog. Honey is an English springer spaniel so you could understand the long hair cause it got in her ears on her fur on her cute little wisp of hairs that she had I was absolutely panicking . Called around for a while. Couldn’t get nobody until I called dreadlocks for dingoes and they told me to take pictures and send it to them. They called me back within like five minutes saying it’s like yes bring her down. Will fit her in for the emergency. Thank you so much for them doing this for me, and for letting me come in on such a late night and staying open for this blunder that I got myself into. You guys deserve all the stars for accommodating, a last-minute emergency that I had.
Tyler Knudtson: I have a very scared and anxious rescued German shepherd mutt. When I went to Lisa and Tess about getting her bathed they let me know in advance what would happen during a bath and how they would handle any situation that could happen with her. When I picked her up she was wagging her tail and clean as ever with freshly trimmed nails. Tess did an amazing job bathing her and Lisa did phenomenal trimming her nails. Lisa also recommended a new food for her and she has been loving it more than any other kibble I've gotten for her. Tess recommended some CBDs for her to take as well and she's been much more calm at home and when I've been walking her. Will definitely be back for amazing service!

Olivia Baxter: Cannot recommend this place enough! My little havanese mini poodle is seemingly a sweetheart, unless he sets foot at a grooming place. Then he’s a Tasmanian devil. We have had zero luck anywhere else, with other places not even being able to finish an appointment, sending him home looking rough after 10 minutes. BUT After our first visit at Dreadlocks for Dingoes, Lisa was able to do it all and leave him looking GREAT! After our second visit, Lisa was able to figure out what ways my Frank can better handle being groomed and form a better relationship with a groomer. He even let her brush his teeth?! Looking forward to our every 4 week appointments to help him with his behavior.
