Mallori Hanson: We worked with Prima Construction this spring to renovate our kitchen and family room area. This included removing a wall and a few added change orders that all went smoothly. The team was easy to work with and took my ideas with their to make me a dream kitchen. They went above and beyond by creating a plan for adding a pot filler that was originally possible due to the location of the stove. They did not once comeback asking for more money, the research they did before starting gave us a clear understanding of how much it would cost and the only added costs came from changes orders we added. We lived in the house while they were working and they kept the house clean and the area safe for when we needed to walk through. I would highly recommend Prima, the martial's used were high quality and the results were beautiful!

We needed to work within our existing home's footprint and stay within our budget and Prima helped us come up with a super functional, hugely improved space and kept us on budget. From the initial planning and design conversations through the project itself, Prima was great. We were so impressed with how they helped us make smart choices, prepped our home to protect the areas where they weren't working in, showed up on time every day and kept the project moving forward and completed it within the expected timeframe. Our neighbors even remarked on how friendly the workers were! And the work they did is gorgeous! We are so happy with our kitchen renovation and so grateful to have hired Prima. Steve Ahearne-Kroll: Kim and her crew were great. They did a bathroom remodeling for us that they originally scheduled for 6-8 weeks long, barring anything unexpected. We have an old house, and they did find some unexpected plumbing problems behind the walls and floor. One of their work crew also tested positive for COVID right after starting his part of the project. Despite these unexpected things, and inspectors' erratic schedules, they stayed pretty much on schedule. Towards the end, two of our family members contracted COVID, and Kim worked super hard to finish so that we could have use of the bathroom during our quarantining efforts. It was a crazy process, but Kim and her crew were outstanding, and they finished only a week or so beyond the original 6-8 week schedule, despite all the obstacles. We can't recommend Prima Construction highly enough.Service:Remodeling

The next day we noticed water leakage and Minnesota Rusco had a project manager at our house within 30 minutes. They determined the issue was not related to the shower install but they stayed at our house for 2 -3 hours helping us figure out what the root cause was. This is definitely a company I would use again and recommend.

We requested bids from three different remodelers and felt most comfortable with Jolynn and her team at Crystal Kitchen and Bath. Our designer, Mary Maney, took the time to listen to our needs and wants and designed a kitchen that we just love. The initial cost estimates turned out to be very accurate as did their estimate of how long the job would take. Phil Bauer: We were looking for a company who could help us with a complete master bath remodel, as our travertine floor tile was cracking in several places resulting in a slow leak creating stains on our first floor ceiling, so we decided it was the right time for a complete update. The entire team at CKB, including Jolynn, Kaitlin and Lisa, together with each of their subcontractor teams, did a great job with our design, demo, construction and cleanup, keeping us timely informed and doing high quality work every step of the way!During the demo, we discovered the entire wood subfloor beneath the shower had rotted through due to improper construction when our house was built 14 years earlier, which was the source of the tile cracking and leak. They were able to repair the subfloor for only a modest increase to the final project cost, and still able complete the job close to the originally estimated schedule. There were a few other more minor items that had to be redone during the job but again, CKB made things right for us at no additional cost for the items needing additional attention. They weren’t happy until we were completely satisfied.We would definitely recommend choosing CKB for your remodel. The may not be the least expensive option, but the quality of their work, timeliness in all communications and focus on getting things done the way we expected was completely worth it to us. Shari Levitt: We have lived in our house for over 20 years. It was time for us to remodel our primary bathroom and the kid's bathroom on the second-floor level. I had been casually researching remodeling companies for a few years. I came across Crystal Kitchen & Bath, left a message for the company, and received a quick reply from Jennie Hjerpe.Jennie came to the house and followed up with three different digital designs for each bathroom. The designs matched our style perfectly. Jennie assisted us in picking out every detail necessary to complete our bathroom designs. The final designs were beautiful! We committed to having CKB continue to design complete floor plans for both bathrooms.The project included entirely gutting both our bathrooms. We received a detailed schedule and calendar, which CKB adhered to strictly. The contractors were timely, pleasant, and efficient. They even tidied up at the end of the day. We had a couple of hiccups in the process when we discovered some water damage on the roof and in the attic. CKB contacted a roofing company who came out promptly to look at the damage, provide an estimate, and complete the work adequately. Additionally, some of the fixtures we had ordered needed changing, and Jennie provided suggestions and made the changes quickly and satisfactorily.The cost for the project was on the very high end. However, it included the design, materials, contractors, labor, and more. We did have to check the work at the end of every workday to make sure everything was satisfactory. The contractors forgot to complete items on the design plan, so we contacted our project manager and resolved it. For example, we had to have the mirror installer fix a crooked mirror, the countertop guys redo the grout color, the painter came out several times to improve the paint job, and the plumber came back to repair the leaking faucet that was not correctly installed. We were very grateful our project manager calmly and effortlessly dealt with every problem until our punch list was complete.The entire process was a huge success. Our bathrooms are beautiful! We love the heated floors, bench in the shower, beautiful vanity, quiet fans, and the pocket door in the primary bath. We love the modern look, black fixtures and handles, and half glass open shower door in the kid's bath.We recently contacted CKB to prepare a new kitchen, family room, and laundry room design. We hope to commit to the plan soon and begin another remodel project for our family home. Jolynn and her staff presented some interesting and creative ideas for the kitchen, especially for a new and much larger island. We approved the new plans and the project got underway.In addition to detailed plans, Jolynn also presented a work schedule for the project and what specifically would occur each day of the six-week project. The schedule was adhered to and the project was completed on time. Because we are not Minnesota residents, Jolynn shepherded the project each step of the way keeping us informed throughout. Their estimate was much more reasonable than other companies we had evaluate our what we wanted. The estimate was very close to final price as well without any unexpected charges. They also found during the course of our remodeling that our floor was not level and they poured concrete and leveled it without any additional charge. We are very pleased with our final product and the quality of the workmanship after 6 months. The price savings with going with Sletten Interior seem to come from the design aspect. Mark will assist with some suggestions, but the majority of the decisions are left up to you and require going to stores to see what products you want. Murtice Sherek: Clear Choice has refinished 3 bathrooms for me. This bathroom re-do included a tub. Dustin Faust coordinated all of the work, including plumbing and an assistant for him. I was informed of dates, arrival and departure times...which were perfect. The work was completed a day early and I was given instructions for when it could all be used. From beginning to end, Dan was thoughtful, friendly, and client-focused. My husband and I struggled to zero in on what exactly we wanted with the budget we had, and Dan patiently saw us through three or four entirely different project ideas before helping us achieve our dream space. Our carpenter, Matt, feels like a member of our family now. I can't say enough positive things about Dan and his people!
Matt Engelkes: Working with Hanson remodeling was terrific from start to finish. The design component/service was customized to your needs. The team began by getting to know your style, preferences, intended functionality, budget and most importantly you! Upon establishing scope/intent of project, conversations were held regarding product/color/finish selections. The team provided 4 or 5 samples of each combination and assisted with coordination ideas/themes as necessary. It was great to see/touch the material in your home and yet not being overwhelmed with options. The final component was the most impressive part. Based on your selections 2 or 3 computer designed images of what your final product would look like were provided. Each option had a slightly different layout or component displayed to provide those visual learners a chance to see their project come to life. My finished product looks nearly identical to the computer image created before project even began. Hanson Building and Remodeling completed my project on time and within budget agreed upon. They took accountability for any mistakes and were flexible on any misunderstandings. The crew was professional and I intend to use them again for future projects.
