Minnehaha Academy - High School: what do users think?

Sasha Bordeaux: Incredibly grateful my child goes here!

Ryan Larson: I have enjoyed working at Minnehaha for the past 7 years. The community found here is second to none. We care deeply about one another and all of our students and make sure that everyone has the support that they need. I'm always amazed at all that we have to offer for such a small school. Students here experience a wide variety of options in courses, athletics and fine arts and all of our programs pursue high standards of excellence.

Julia Stewart: A member of the Class of 2006, I still think back on the tremendous influence of Minnehaha on my life. Though MA is an academically rigorous college prep school, teachers see students beyond their academic ability. They are equally devoted to helping students grow as whole people as they model critical thinking, compassion and humility. 15 years after graduating, many of my former teachers are still working at Minnehaha. In a field with so much burnout, it's worth noting that teachers at MA stay for the long haul. This speaks to their passion, their devotion to students and to the MA community at-large. When I went to college, I was able to test out of a handful or required college courses due to the various AP options available to me at MA. I've always been thankful for that. Academics aside, the best part about Minnehaha is that it is a community that helped bring my faith to life. It is a place that fosters a love of asking questions rather than resorting to easy answers.

Joshua Schwartz: Funny.

Julie Johnson: - this is of utmost important to the awesome faculty and staff at this PreK-12 school. Students are supported to grow and mature to their full potential while recognizing their gifts and talents that they can use in service to God and to others. We would not hesitate to recommend others to attend Minnehaha Academy and be part of the beautiful community and family feel this school provides.

Karen Lutgen: Our family is grateful to be part of the MA community. Not only do I have a dream job on faculty, but our child is challenged and nurtured daily at the lower school. It's a wonderful place for all of us to grow as whole people and experience the love of God daily.

Julie Harnack: Minnehaha is a great school. I currently have two kids in the High School and I would highly recommend this school! It is a Christ centered environment, has great academics and my children feel loved/cared for!

Charles Hughes: but at least its a pretty large campus. The teachers are great for the most part, i'm in open so i can't speak for the liberal and all nation students when i say this. The community overall is very great, there are many services for mental health and general consoling. Also many lgbt groups and services

Minnehaha Academy - Elementary and Middle School: what do users think?

Rose Lee-Norman: Minnehaha Academy is such a wonderful community! We love being a part of its strong commitment to faith, incredible academics, and a warm community. Our children are thriving at MA!

Karen Karpenko: Our two children attended Minnehaha Academy from Preschool through 12th grade. We could not be more happy with their experience. They received an outstanding education from teachers who cared about them deeply as individuals. If you are looking for a school where your child will be known for who they are, and encouraged to fulfill their potential, Minnehaha Academy is the clear choice.

David Hoffner: Minnehaha Academy is a truly caring community, a great school for students and teachers to learn and thrive. Grateful for the excellent Christian education my children have received.

Leanna Swanson: Our family loves Minnehaha. We have experienced the strong continuation of caring community, excellent academics, and faith formation that has characterized Minnehaha's past. It really is a family that supports, corrects, teaches and has fun together. We love seeing our children form friendships that we hope will be lifelong, as we continue friendships with our Minnehaha friends well into adulthood. We love the teachers, who go above and beyond to provide soul-deep teaching. The teachers love their students as individuals, created in God's image. We love the Christ-following mission of the school that continues to be the compass for school leadership, faculty, and staff. At Minnehaha, our children are well-loved, and their gifts are cultivated as whole people.

Electriz: Great place, been going to school here for ages and don’t plan on leaving! The teachers are amazing and the students are accepting and very very very friendly. 10/10

Ashley Swanson: Minnehaha Academy has been a place for our child to thrive academically, to grow socially, and to belong within a caring Christian community. As a biracial family, we struggled to find a school that would match our desire for top notch academics alongside a vibrant, racially diverse community. Thankfully, I can tell you that Minnehaha has exceeded our expectations every step of the way. Our child is prepared not only for academic success, but for real world impact. Faith formation, racial reconciliation, and service are foundational to the educational experience at Minnehaha. We know that our investment in Minnehaha has been and will continue to be the right choice for our family.

Jim Nelson: My son is receiving a top notch education with teachers who know him and care about him! We live in a district with excellent schools but it is worth it to pay the tuition and drive the commute each day to have him surrounded by teachers who are strong, Christian role models and expect excellence.

Mary Kay Ziniewicz: We are so thankful that our daughter is attending Minnehaha Academy. The experience has been overwhelmingly positive--spiritually, academically, and socially. The faculty and staff deliver excellence, and, as a result, students respond in delivering their best-self. The leadership at MA is devoted to the success of every student and this devotion is reflected in the culture daily. My daughter joined MA as a 7th grader and was welcomed by everyone. The students are inclusive and kind, just as the faculty and staff. All reflecting God's love. My husband and I are very happy that our daughter is attending Minnehaha Academy.

Natalia Jankowski: Minnehaha Academy does a fantastic job of educating my child, while being an example of Christ like love. This isn't a school that a church once funded, this school has Jesus at the center of all it does. My children are being taught by professional educators, that see this fallen world with the love of Jesus.

Chris Hughes: Both of our children attend MA lower school. We are very pleased with every aspect of the school. From the curriculum to all the facilities. The class sizes are small and it seems that everyone knows every students name no matter what the grade. There is a real sense of community which further nourishes our children's social development. The equipment and materials are all state of the art and the students have access to the latest technologies. The communication from the staff to the parents is excellent. Such an amazing school!

Zac Anderson: This is a great school. I go here!

Sandy: Minnehaha Academy is a Christian day school associated with the Evangelical Covenant Church. It is located on two campuses in Minneapolis, a Pre-K through grade 8 campus at 4200 West River Road, and grades 9 through 12 at 3100 West River Road Minneapolis. Minnehaha's sports teams have excelled in their conference and it's graduates attend top colleges and universities nationwide. Minnehaha also has outstanding fine arts programs.

Karen Lopez Lopez: It is the same place where they film Soy Luna, nothing more than Disney adds details to make it look different because if you look, it is the same shape as the one in the series.

Greg Lundgren: Above and beyond, this is the best school in the nation. As a former student, I can say, without hesitation, that my time at The Blake School was the most influential and impactful experience of my life. The Blake School offers an unparalleled curriculum, remarkably progressive environment and enthusiasm for success. The community is composed of brilliant minds who openly and freely share their time, knowledge and valuable life experience. The Blake School's emphasis on open-mindedness, integrity, tolerance and strong sense of community, is a testament to the fantastic alumni that came before us. Any Blake alumni will tell you that the school allowed us to discover forever-friends as well as an inevitably bright future. My fellow students will always be my family. My former teachers will always be my confidants and inspiration. The school itself will always be my home. Javier Trujillo: Over all has been a good experience.

Jenny Severson: BSM is a rare place where people are seen and heard. Thr teachers always respond and I’ve met with numerous coaches and staff who are exemplary. My 9th grader was at an outstanding public school district which by all standards was excellent but she didn’t feel like it was the right place for her.She started asking about BSM in 6th and 7th grade and it was Covid. My only regret is not acting sooner. BSM would have put her even farther ahead but still she’s thriving.I’m proud that my daughter is thriving at BSM. I’m proud of her for trying a new sport and working hard at school. She’s always loved basketball and is praying with the states best of the best not only in Minnesota but across the nation.

Kristina Patterson: Extremely happy with our decision to have our child attend BSM! She thanks us often and we are proud to be Red knights!

Biz McShane: BSM is a wonderful school community.

kristen hansberry: Fabulous environment for my developing teenager!

Johnny Grant: Attended BSM and had a great experience! Now as an alumni I get the experience of being a parent. My daughter has been a having a great experience as a student. She’s challenged in academics and athletics. She is supported and empowered by her teachers. She is learning in a faith based community the importance of community engagement. Highly recommended BSM!

Sam Willis: Benilde is an awesome place to be! Education is second to none! I would recommend any parent who is looking for quality education for there child to consider this school l.

Andrew Wahl: BSM has been absolutely amazing for the academics as well as the support that goes along with. The community feel is unparalleled. Thank you to all teachers, administrators and support staff for making BSM great!

Lance Silverman: Great experience for our daughter in her first year. Welcomed in multiple ways. Academically challenged.

Molly Nystuen: My daughter struggled in the larger disruptive public school classrooms. She was serious about academics and she wanted a place she could focus. She started in 7th grade and is now a junior, highly involved in multiple activities, doing very well academically, and getting great intern experiences and college counseling.

Joann Meyer: Our third child is a sophomore at BSM and this is the 9th year for our family. We appreciate how well administration communicates with parents. The emails are well-thought out and have the facts needed to understand any given situation and what BSM is doing to resolve it. Our student has several favorite teachers, has friends that have good study habits and make a positive impact on her, and she loves to be in the building both before and after school. We are happy BSM parents.

Debra Kessenich: The teachers and staff truly care. I will also never forget all they did for the kids during Covid - they showed up every day.

Alissa Gamache: The faculty and staff are great! My daughter loved her time at BSM.

Daniel McMenamy: I went to this school until 10th grade. It is by far one of the best schools you can send your students to. The students DO have a voice, the school has a dress code but no uniform, which gives people the freedom to be who they want to be, but still not distract the other kids learning ability. The food was my favorite thing, its not cheap low quality food. The teacher are all friendly and helpful. They come to school early to help the kids, and they stay late to help the kids as well. The school is like a second home for some students, it was for me, and I'm sure it will be for others as well.
