Minnehaha Academy - High School: what do users think?

Sasha Bordeaux: Incredibly grateful my child goes here!

Ryan Larson: I have enjoyed working at Minnehaha for the past 7 years. The community found here is second to none. We care deeply about one another and all of our students and make sure that everyone has the support that they need. I'm always amazed at all that we have to offer for such a small school. Students here experience a wide variety of options in courses, athletics and fine arts and all of our programs pursue high standards of excellence.

Julia Stewart: A member of the Class of 2006, I still think back on the tremendous influence of Minnehaha on my life. Though MA is an academically rigorous college prep school, teachers see students beyond their academic ability. They are equally devoted to helping students grow as whole people as they model critical thinking, compassion and humility. 15 years after graduating, many of my former teachers are still working at Minnehaha. In a field with so much burnout, it's worth noting that teachers at MA stay for the long haul. This speaks to their passion, their devotion to students and to the MA community at-large. When I went to college, I was able to test out of a handful or required college courses due to the various AP options available to me at MA. I've always been thankful for that. Academics aside, the best part about Minnehaha is that it is a community that helped bring my faith to life. It is a place that fosters a love of asking questions rather than resorting to easy answers.

Joshua Schwartz: Funny.

Julie Johnson: - this is of utmost important to the awesome faculty and staff at this PreK-12 school. Students are supported to grow and mature to their full potential while recognizing their gifts and talents that they can use in service to God and to others. We would not hesitate to recommend others to attend Minnehaha Academy and be part of the beautiful community and family feel this school provides.

Karen Lutgen: Our family is grateful to be part of the MA community. Not only do I have a dream job on faculty, but our child is challenged and nurtured daily at the lower school. It's a wonderful place for all of us to grow as whole people and experience the love of God daily.

Julie Harnack: Minnehaha is a great school. I currently have two kids in the High School and I would highly recommend this school! It is a Christ centered environment, has great academics and my children feel loved/cared for!

Rebecca Wellik: Wonderful high school!

Karen Lopez Lopez: It is the same place where they film Soy Luna, nothing more than Disney adds details to make it look different because if you look, it is the same shape as the one in the series.

Greg Lundgren: Above and beyond, this is the best school in the nation. As a former student, I can say, without hesitation, that my time at The Blake School was the most influential and impactful experience of my life. The Blake School offers an unparalleled curriculum, remarkably progressive environment and enthusiasm for success. The community is composed of brilliant minds who openly and freely share their time, knowledge and valuable life experience. The Blake School's emphasis on open-mindedness, integrity, tolerance and strong sense of community, is a testament to the fantastic alumni that came before us. Any Blake alumni will tell you that the school allowed us to discover forever-friends as well as an inevitably bright future. My fellow students will always be my family. My former teachers will always be my confidants and inspiration. The school itself will always be my home. I can only hope my children will be able to share in the impeccable education I was extremely fortunate to receive.

William Maddrey: Great school. Go Bears!

Audrey Smith: Oh Yeah BLAKE BETTER. Blake RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

andrew r: they had some godly pancakes today oh my lord there were busting! # i love pancke

max francois: Best School In the World

Spencer Hamilton: Good school

Doh Kaoh: Never been to this school but I just wanted to ask, is this school private and does it have wrestling or weightlifting. I'm considering going here.

Kelsey Anderson: After a long search to find a great school for our 7th grader, we were so pleased to find the perfect learning environment at Mounds Park Academy! From the first visit where we toured this amazing facility, we were impressed by the bright hallways, classrooms, the state-of-the-art equipment and the incredible library! Every space at MPA has been carefully crafted to insure the success of the children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Now that our child is in 9 th grade, we know we made the right choice! The teachers, administration and staff are some of the most dedicated, motivated and qualified professionals in the field of education. The rigorous academic catalog is brimming with exciting core classes and enticing electives, all guaranteed to produce a well- rounded education. Beyond the incredible educational benefits, MPA is a very welcoming and inclusive environment where students are allowed and encouraged to ask tough questions, express independent ideas and thrive in a truly nurturing and safe environment. We are so thoroughly impressed and pleased by all the exceptional aspects of the Mounds Park Academy experience and highly recommend it unequivocally without hesitation! We are grateful beyond measure!

Joshua Hanson: Amazing school, all-star teachers, and leadership. We are fortunate to be a part of this community and value the education and character building that it provides. If you think it would fit you family, I encourage you to check it out.

Nate Johnson: My time at MPA prepared me to be a lifelong learner. I absolutely loved my experience, the friends I made, and the community that I have. I am also incredibly grateful to my parents for making the decision to send me to MPA, and for making the investment in me. I am a better person and a better student because they were so selfless in prioritizing MPA tuition over new cars, vacations or cabins. If you are a parent considering MPA, but hesitant because of the tuition, know that your child, like me, will grow up to be exceptionally grateful that you made the decision to invest in their future with a private school like this one. I can't say enough good things about MPA. It will always be my home.

Salmah Elmasry: MPA students are multipotentialites, encouraged to participate in both arts and sciences and have a diverse set of interests. MPA teachers deeply care about their students and are dedicated to fostering conscientious, global citizens who will positively impact their communities.

Jim Kreilich: Had the pleasure of having lunch time with our wonderful kindergarten granddaughter at MPA cafeteria on Friday. A great experience was had. Impressed by lunch selections provided & the impressive facilities, but more impressed by the staff and students!

The International School of Minnesota: what do users think?

Daniel: huh

Heidrun Dame: Excellent school where kids are always encouraged and supported. Teachers are fantastic, they have high expectations and make learning fun. Our son went here from KG to HS graduation. We picked ISM over other, more famous private schools, liked their approach to teaching and it offered by far the best foreign language program and the best after school program. Very happy with our experience.

Apurva Balaji: The school is amazing! The teachers are really nice and helpful, and it’s really easy to set up times to meet with them one on one. Before school and after school there are so many activities, and you can always have fun with friends! I have attended since preschool and I’ve always had a great time!

Jianzhong Qian: ISM is a very nice school for foreign students.

Sam Elgore: Both our kids went to and graduated from ISM. One of the best decisions I have ever made. I couldn't recommend the school high enough. Kids grow in an integrated, diverse and safe environment that fosters learning and exploring.

Jason Cole: Excellent school. Excellent staff.

Kayte Haagenson: Great programs, strong curriculum, supportive staff. Quality education all around!

Zachary Forester: Excellent place of education.

Mary Sears: My Daughter has been a student here for the last 10 years and is receiving an excellent education.

Emmanuella Urumedji: The school is absolutely amazing

P.E.A.S.E. Academy: what do users think?

Rhonda O'Brien: I am very grateful for PEASE Academy. My daughter went there immediately after getting care in a residential treatment facility. I can't imagine how she would have fared returning to a regular school. She received fantastic support and kindness from each and every staff person; they value students for their uniqueness and meet them where they are at. She made good friends who understand her and support her and was introduced to meetings and other resources during school or in the after school program She graduated after her short time there and the thing I am most appreciative of is the hope she now has.

Bridgette Johnson: and PEASE gave a safe place to not only graduate from high school but to have the support I needed to succeed in life after graduation. I can't say enough good things. Being surrounded by people my age everyday in sobriety really gave me the fondation I needed in life at that time. Forever grateful to PEASE and Michael Durchslag, the principle, especially.

Andrew Fein: A SOBER High School! Great idea! PEASE has a wonderful, supportive staff and a great program. If your kid needs a supportive drug and alcohol free environment, PEASE should be your first consideration. Re: the reply- My son went to PEASE, not me.

Izabelle Klapak: I learned a lot and actually enjoyed school and learning. I met some cool people and even cooler teachers. If you're looking for a safe sober environment to get your education and make friends, I 100% recommend P.E.A.S.E Academy. It was my favorite place to go to school.

Michael Elyanow: PEASE was an essential, amazing, life-changing experience for my son. Can't recommend it highly enough. The community, the teachers, the education, the methodology, the emotional IQ — it's all there. Thank you, PEASE!

Will Murray: The PEASE Academy leadership and staff are the most dedicated, committed, compassionate, supportive, tough but caring educators I have ever been fortunate to have known. Our son went through a very tough patch during high school at a traditional school. So he/we enrolled at PEASE and it made all the difference. The teachers and staff have been life savers and a second family to our son. He will be graduating this spring and we are so grateful and thankful for all the support and encouragement that Michael Durchslag and team have provided him and us to get to this upcoming achievement!! Thank you!!!

Phara Klingensmith: PEASE Academy to our family has truly been a blessing. Not only is it a sober school, it’s a place where no one is giving up on your child even when your child wants to give up on themselves. Mike the director has a way with words & I could feel from the get go - he’s the real deal. Empathetic. Warm. A resource. There is after school activities. Parent support groups. Outings etc - on top of school. We live 50 min away & we make it work. Worth the effort for my child to be in a place of support & in sober community/school!

Brandon Rice: Amazing school, perfect for anyone in recovery who needs extra support on their journey. 5/5 stars

Matt Kreye: and I can attribute much my current happiness to my years at PEASE.

JT Rissman: Amazing school! Two of our children graduated from here. PEASE Academy has such a supportive environment and does a great job of meeting recovering students' individual needs.

Jenny Loverude: P.E.A.S.E Academy is a light in my past. I learned and grew so much here. My heart is forever grateful for the school, staff, and students there. Thank you ALL, for the push forward, encouragement, and love to be who God intended me to be.

Bill Schmidt: P.E.A.S.E. Academy gave my family member the chance and opportunity to finish his high school credits and graduate with dignity and pride. The experience at P.E.A.S.E. is the best high school memory over all of his high school years.Remembering that the students want to be seen and acknowledged as a whole-person and not only for previous choices made, is one of the many qualities of the leadership and teachers that provided an environment for learning and achieving success.Even the most sincere thank you isn’t enough for what these talented and genuinely kind teachers give to these kids. You are all more appreciated than you know!

Lisa Forsell: P.E.A.S.E. runs an amazing program with a dedicated, talented staff providing unmatched support to students and parents alike. I feel so fortunate that my family found this hidden gem and will always be grateful to Mike, Rufus and the rest of the staff for all their efforts!

Judy Klapak: My child gained an education and supportive, life long friends at P.E.A.S.E. That is very necessary for those in recovery. I am grateful for this school and their different approach for learning.

Don Kreye: Our son Matt attended PEASE his junior and senior years of high school. While it was a tough transition the first couple months, Matt settled in and really enjoyed the sober education he received at PEASE. We always felt Michael and the staff we engaged and supportive and provided a safe learning environment for Matt to not only get by, but to thrive. Matt remained sober through high school and has nearly 10 years now. He graduated from college, got married, has a great career and most importantly, continues to work a program of recovery on a daily basis. We believe PEASE set the tone for Matt's subsequent accomplishments and long term recovery. We are forever grateful to PEASE Academy.Don & Shari Kreye

Cecelia Benimon: I work at Anishinabe Academy. I can not ask for better administration and staff to work with. It has been the first job where I have had great support. Both of my daughters go to school here and my youngest has came home teaching me Ojibwa. My oldest can be very shy at times and now she is more open. Muhyedin djirdi: Before graduating 2013 I had no idea about college and my counselor guide me there every step. Today I got masters in software development thanks to her.

Brigit Bardot: 2 sons went to Southwest. 1 son went Washburn. I believe the academic and sports programs are better are Washburn. Southwest was just adequate but they all did well in college.

Jim boyle: The food

Kalisha Townsell: I'm a Senior at Washburn and I got to tell ya that it's going great, the teachers I have are great, and it's a place where you can be comfortable. But don't eat the food, the food is ok sometimes but mostly it's gross. So I just go out to lunch with my friends. But Washburn is a great school to go to.

Benilde-St. Margaret's: what do users think?

Javier Trujillo: Over all has been a good experience.

Jenny Severson: BSM is a rare place where people are seen and heard. Thr teachers always respond and I’ve met with numerous coaches and staff who are exemplary. My 9th grader was at an outstanding public school district which by all standards was excellent but she didn’t feel like it was the right place for her.She started asking about BSM in 6th and 7th grade and it was Covid. My only regret is not acting sooner. BSM would have put her even farther ahead but still she’s thriving.I’m proud that my daughter is thriving at BSM. I’m proud of her for trying a new sport and working hard at school. She’s always loved basketball and is praying with the states best of the best not only in Minnesota but across the nation.

Kristina Patterson: Extremely happy with our decision to have our child attend BSM! She thanks us often and we are proud to be Red knights!

Biz McShane: BSM is a wonderful school community.

kristen hansberry: Fabulous environment for my developing teenager!

Johnny Grant: Attended BSM and had a great experience! Now as an alumni I get the experience of being a parent. My daughter has been a having a great experience as a student. She’s challenged in academics and athletics. She is supported and empowered by her teachers. She is learning in a faith based community the importance of community engagement. Highly recommended BSM!

Sam Willis: Benilde is an awesome place to be! Education is second to none! I would recommend any parent who is looking for quality education for there child to consider this school l.

Andrew Wahl: BSM has been absolutely amazing for the academics as well as the support that goes along with. The community feel is unparalleled. Thank you to all teachers, administrators and support staff for making BSM great!

Lance Silverman: Great experience for our daughter in her first year. Welcomed in multiple ways. Academically challenged.

Molly Nystuen: My daughter struggled in the larger disruptive public school classrooms. She was serious about academics and she wanted a place she could focus. She started in 7th grade and is now a junior, highly involved in multiple activities, doing very well academically, and getting great intern experiences and college counseling.

Joann Meyer: Our third child is a sophomore at BSM and this is the 9th year for our family. We appreciate how well administration communicates with parents. The emails are well-thought out and have the facts needed to understand any given situation and what BSM is doing to resolve it. Our student has several favorite teachers, has friends that have good study habits and make a positive impact on her, and she loves to be in the building both before and after school. We are happy BSM parents.

Debra Kessenich: The teachers and staff truly care. I will also never forget all they did for the kids during Covid - they showed up every day.

Alissa Gamache: The faculty and staff are great! My daughter loved her time at BSM.

Daniel McMenamy: I went to this school until 10th grade. It is by far one of the best schools you can send your students to. The students DO have a voice, the school has a dress code but no uniform, which gives people the freedom to be who they want to be, but still not distract the other kids learning ability. The food was my favorite thing, its not cheap low quality food. The teacher are all friendly and helpful. They come to school early to help the kids, and they stay late to help the kids as well. The school is like a second home for some students, it was for me, and I'm sure it will be for others as well.

Nayely: Highly recommend it's a real Christian school teachers are very caring they go the extra mile to support the students and the Principal is a great person,Very loving school .The staff are great and very welcoming. It's a blessing

James Tacheny: For more than a dozen years I have trusted this high school for the finishing of my children’s pre-college education. I appreciate that the mostly male staff has such Godly leader ship and standards of excellence

James Stage: Our daughter is now a sophomore at CA. We love the high school experience she is receiving! It is such a close-knit family…both the faculty and the students. There is great emphasis on academics as well as character development. We hope to send our younger kids here in the upcoming years as well!

Jennifer Reinhard: Concordia Academy has been a blessing for our family, and I recommend it to anyone interested in a Christian education for their children. CA has the unique combination of a small, caring atmosphere along with rigorous academics and competitive athletic programs. The Christian staff and teachers care about my children not only as students with a responsibility to learn but also as individuals who have unique and special talents. I suggest you take the opportunity to explore how CA could be a place where your student will thrive!

Bev Thompson: , and that he’s in a place where he can grow in all possible ways in a caring, nurturing, faithful

Megan Hunt: My son is a sophomore at Concordia Academy and I am so thankful every single day this is where he and we as parents chose to have him attend high school! He is thriving academically, socially, emotionally and most importantly growing daily in his relationship with God. It is hard to say all the wonderful things CA provides to he and our family in a short review, but the combination of incredibly dedicated staff, teachers and administration along with the amazing students who bring vibrant life, strong pursuit of academic learning and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ are giving our son a very strong foundation and springboard to a bright future of positive relationships, post-secondary education and a life of service to others to be a positive world changer.

Bob Kingsbury: CA has been an excellent choice for our family!Great instruction and preparation. Providing wonderful experience for us in athletics, music, theater and art. All while living in a spiritually encouraging community

Heidi Harre: is a place where our children have thrived. This is a great school that provides an excellent education, a great community and is Christ-centered. My children have taken advantage of the 90+ PSEO college credit classes taught at CA, fine arts opportunities, robotics and athletics. We are so thankful our children have the opportunity to attend Concordia Academy.

Theresa Currie: The teachers at Concordia really care for their students. They have also encouraged my son to step out of his comfort zone and try new things! I am thankful for this Christ centered school!

Maureen Johnson: Great high school and best decision we made for our son 3 years ago. As we are half way through his junior year we are amazed at the well rounded young man he is becoming and a huge part of that is the education, support and encouragement CA has provided him and us as his parents. We are looking forward to our daughter starting next year and she is excited about the option of an Emerging Artists program when so many schools are cutting the arts!

Kari Hermansen: Concordia Academy has been such a blessing to my children and I. My son was able to take enough PSEO/College classes at Concordia Academy, that he was able to start college as a second semester sophomore credit-wise. Both my children have been able to take classes that have enriched them mentally and spiritually. They are challenged and encouraged by teachers and staff at CA daily to live out their faith. Pastor/Principal Berner is phenomenal! My kids have really enjoyed the huge variety of speakers, organizations and bands that have presented at their Chapels. I would never want to live through High School again, but if I had to do it, I would do it at CA!

Heather Elting-Ballard: Concordia has been a great high school for our kids--it's been a wonderful place for them to grow both academically and in their faith! Teachers are excellent, the environment is safe and supportive, and classes are small. Our kids have especially loved participating in the STEM2 Program--including robotics competitions and ICE Lab--and in the Drama Department!

Laura Gayner: My student loves to attend school here. The teachers are wonderful and supportive. I feel they care about their students education and well being. The school offers college level and honors classes that are challenging and rigorous. I recommend Concordia Academy to any family interested in Christian education for their children.

Cham Otong: it is a awesome school and people love to worship there
