Laura Heilman: and the bathroom was huge. I found the shower a bit odd and the runoff from the shower curtain was a challenge until I figured out how to manage it.The bed was comfy. Environmental controls were easy to understand. The TV was huge! Accessing channels was odd. As far as I could figure out you have to negotiate an Internet connection to view anything. There were no clear instructions, so it was a bit frustrating to figure out.I have nothing but praise for the staff. They were unfailingly courteous and friendly. I was there for a conference and the catering staff were also very personable and efficient. I never interacted with the housekeeping staff. They kept my room pleasantly clean and neat.There were loads of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. P Bouton: Good wifi, hot water, gym, maid service, and check-in. I did have a problem with being served uncooked fish at the bar which caused stomach upset for several days in the first of a 3 night stay and no one checked up on me after initially discussing the clearly undercooked dish with the chef and a manager. Otherwise a good hotel and great location to the city convention center.

David De La Torre: I stayed at this hotel for four days during a conference. This hotel is very close to the conference center, made it very convenient to go back and forth. The service at the hotel and the restaurant was top notch. They upgraded me to a larger room which was like an apartment with 2 baths, an office, lounge master bedroom and huge bathroom. No complaints whatsoever!Nearby activities: Next to convention center and short walking distance to Nicollete Mall and other downtown locations.Walkability: Connected via skywalk to the convention center and short walking distance to everything in downtown.
Chance Sparks: 5-stars for an imperfect stay, because a nice hotel has to be judged by how they respond. We had a major plumbing issue well out of their control involving some kind of broke line. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes, and they had us moved to a new room with keys and a luggage cart within another 5 minutes, along with some credits. That is a level of quality response you just don’t see often, and they should be commended!

Cheryl Wirkus: This was a very nice hotel. I have never visited here before. It is super expensive though. The design of the building inside is really quite unique. Front desk staff very knowledgeable and polite. As much as I like the stay. I cannot return for that amount of money.. Eating breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel was very expensive also. The hotel is conveniently located near a lot of shopping. For as nice as the hotel was and as expensive as it was, I was kind of surprised that they had the old fashioned tub shower instead of a nice walk in shower.
Todd Green: snapped off a pretty witty comeback to me. I about died of embarrassment and laughter at the same time.The rooms were amazing. I was really curious if the #55 room is a real room or not. It is tucked between the 2 elevators. My floor 1555 looked like it could either be a storage room disguised as a Guest room or maybe there is a secret candelabra that you pull to reveal a Vegas Style baller suite. I walked to my room wondering all of the possibilities that room could offer. I opened my room and maybe not Vegas Baller Suite, but defiantly Reno or Tahoe. Two full walls were all window looking out onto the city.I had to put on my hiking shoes before making the trek to pull the curtains closed, but it was like the ending of the old timey movies where the curtain closes at the end. I was just getting that last look of the city before it was gone.The biggest things I look for in a room is 1: Can I see the TV from the desk. Yes. Perfectly. B: Can I plug in all my stuff next to the bed. Hell Yes. I had USBs on the sides of the table between the beds, there was a Mag charger on top of the clock, and the front of the clock had 2 more USB plugs. When I looked under the bed there was a little mad tucked under there and he handed me 2 more USB plugs. I still don't know if he worked for the hotel, but he made me amazing coffee in the morning.The bathroom was well done. It is always the spot to see if the hotel pays attention to maintaining the hotel or not. They had one bar of soap for my face but had amazing bath products in the pump bottles on the counter and in the shower. I was expecting the normal shot across the room when I pushed down, but it came out smoothly showing that someone has a stack of toothpicks and keeps those spouts clean. It was not the most enjoyable shower that I have had, but it is the most enjoyable that I can discuss here.On check-out I made sure to tell the manager about what a great property and staff she has. Actually, that would have been the perfect time to ask if that guy works here or not. At+

pizzapieyum: Recently stayed for a work trip and it was an overall good experience!Staffs are very welcoming and helpful in general. Sophia was very professional, and other front desk staffs were friendly as well.But the valet staffs were really going above and beyond — they always greet you with big smiles, remember you, and help you with finding your uber, loading the bags, etc. I did not get their names but all of them were amazing. They seriously need a raise.The only downside was that the room was not the best for working. It does have a desk but not a desk chair, just more of a stool. The amenities were a bit basic and lacking in detail as well.

Rooms are comfortable and homey, staff across the board is AMAZING and the restaurant staff morning and night just make you feel excellent after a long work day. Blown away. Linda Carr: Couple of bumps but nothing significant. Would not recommend if you have children because they don't have the complimentary breakfast. You also have to pay for parking. It is a valet service but, not conventional when you're on a budget. The shortcomings that I experienced are due to my lack of paying attention to detailed information before booking this hotel. johnny theophilus (WET TO ACTIVATE): I came up to work a convention at the Hyatt and didn’t realize my booking didn’t go through. The night crew at the front desk was extremely accommodating for parking as well. We had a huge super duty we use to tow our trailer and is the biggest hassle when it comes to downtown parking ramps but the security guard would come outside every time and guide us to an isolated spot. i couldn’t have asked for a cooler team.
Bradley Dickover: Oh hi ho hi hey I just seen a poker me and I’m pretty sure it had bald seed dragon or some type of weird and may comic like that, but we’re not going to copyright in fringe I said put the beer in the fridge that held Dragon Ball, Dragon BallNoteworthy details: I saw Batman four times Spider-Man 68 times and some girl that looked like Sailor Moon. I saw her about three different times. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but everybody’s dressed up the superheroes and I am like super curious by the time I got across the street was just villains. I’m pretty sure there’s like Galactic comic ward going on.. we should all take note of this! . I feel to mention how much I love lamp. This year’s pant party was an awesome one legged experience lol

Lauren: at the front desk I had during my check in and stay here. The restaurant was also amazing as well! Really good food and some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Definitely coming back again this year!!! Also my server Lolo was amazing as well.

Michael Dvoracek: Overall a decent stay. Very unique finishings and fun artwork in the lobby and in the room. I was pretty disappointed with the window in our room just looking out over a large indoor conference room with no view of the outside, which was really odd. There was also a weird stain on our bathroom door, not sure what it was, but it wasn't a huge deal as we weren't touching it or anything. The shower had decent pressure and temperature, but the faucet was loose and you could see into the wall behind it and there was only one setting for a rain-like spray on the head, would've liked something a bit nicer. Overall, I was pretty happy wit the stay.

Stephanie Heidinger: Stayed here for an Expo at the convention center. Getting from parking ramp to hotel desk was CONFUSING; getting to Convention Center from lobby is even worse! Skyway isn't really user-friendly & is a bit of a maze. After that said, the hotel itself is really nice & upscale. Called and asked if an early check-in was available & they accommodated.Downtown Mpls has tons of restaurants and bars to choose from if you decide not to use the ones in the hotel.It's time to put my feet up and enjoy the stay.

Earl Greyhound: The location of the BW Downtown Normandy is ideal for attending sporting events in the MPLS area. Walking distance to US Bank Stadium, the Target Center and Target Field. Access to the interstate to go shopping at the MOA is only a block and a half away as well.Walkability: Several restaurants and sports venues are nearby.
Oksana K: Love coming here! The decor and the atmosphere are so elegant and you can tell before you even get to the front desk that they put in effort here. The staff has always been exactly what you hope for when you’re staying in a hotel; super helpful and very friendly no matter who is working. The rooms are clean and have what you need, we love the poolside room for ease of accessing the pool and sauna and hot tub. Love that they added a ping pong table too! I like that they have full size shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the showers so I don’t have to bring my own or bug housekeeping for a million of the little bottles, and my hair feels so soft after their products! The cookies and milk at night give me and my kids a fun little activity to do before bed. We have to come to Minneapolis a lot for doctor appointments and I always check if they have rooms available first, their parking is convenient compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in downtown and it’s right down the street from the clinic and hospital. Coming from a small town of less than 500 people Minneapolis can be kind of scary sometimes but I felt completely safe when I came here all alone last year with my baby, it feels secure and quiet and you know the staff is attentive.

Connected restaurant is great and yummy! This is where breakfast is and is way great! Indoor pool and hot tub. In middle of city, about 2 blocks from courthouse and 6 or so from stadium! Perfect location. Rooms dark and city sounds muffled and not disturbing. Parking xtra but in gated lot and off street. Only improvement suggestion is to have more baggage carts! Lol

Amber Schneider: We encountered a few hiccups in our travel plans, but we enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. They had great breakfast and the layout of the room was perfect for what we needed. We also had the privilege of working with Chad while we were here. We ran into a few snags and had a couple of additional needs, but Chad was able to find quick and effective solutions and assure me that everything was taken care of. We really appreciated the excellent customer service that he provided. David Schuch: I have to give 5 stars all the way around, just for the value. Yes you pay 35.00 parking per day but the prices at worth it. Staff was very friendly upon arrival and even gave you a good morning on the way out.As for being in an inconspicuous area. Hello?? it is downtown! 😆 once you pull in. Park, take elevators to H for hotel. You're now on the 7th or 8th floor. You enter through a secure automatic sliding glass door and you are now at the check in.Check in was easy. We had a clean room but one of the two tvs had a line in it so they upgraded me to a suite. Great staff!The suite had a view and personally I book these downtown hotels with the family just for that purpose. Breakfast was served from 630AM TO 9AM. PRETTY MUCH A FULL BUFFET THAT WAS STOCKED AS YOU GO. Didn't have any trouble getting full plates relatively quickly. The design of the interior is interesting and you feel secure being in your own area with separate elevators from the garages.You'll be very happy with your stay regardless.Rooms: Clean and tidy. Sarah T: My stay was for a staycation and it was perfect! The hotel is very clean and has a calm and welcoming feeling when you first enter. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and overall wonderful to interact with! The room was very spacious and clean, had normal outlets and USB plug ins by the bed which was great along with many other outlets throughout the room in convenient spots which i find very helpful. The room service was quick and convenient. There are a lot of great amenities which is awesome. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel whether it be for a staycation, vacation, for a business trip, or whatever it may be you need a hotel for!
Tom Anderson: I remember it being Grand Hotel and haven't stayed since the switch over to Hyatt. Very good location..nice big room, nice staff. I was lazy on a Monday morning and ordered room service. It was good but think of a Dennys breakfast being served in paper takeout. Coffee wasn't the best and $4 for a cup not worth it. I would stay again but not order room service. I do miss The Grand. They had a great service when you could just order coffee to be delivered to your room the next morning.
Pam Daiker: after the Vikings game and enjoyed a cocktail watching the ball drop in the hotel bar. It was nice to be able to sit down, meet some new friends without a cover charge or standing all night AND be able to run up to our room if needed, grab a drink from the bar, grab a piece of pizza from your new friends or play some Jenga by the fireplace! They had a breakfast buffet on New Years Day, $17 with salmon eggs benedict and many other things. My fiance enjoyed that very much however I went with the classic breakfast off the menu for $10 which is eggs, hashbrowns and your choice of meat. Very good experience.Safety: I felt very safe there. Even after hours.
Moises Vega: I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was big and clean and one thing that I liked the most was that there are motion activated lights on the bottom of the bed for when you get up ij the middle of the night and see where you are walking. The service was fast and amazing, we ordered a margarita pizza and it was delicious. The valet workers were so nice and they made sure to take good care of the cars. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and I will definitely come back for another night.

Omar Weathersby: Had a very nice stay the Emery. Great experience with staff all the time. Super friendly, helpful, and appreciative not just to me, but any time they were helping someone. The lobby is outstanding. Great vibe for any occasion, group outing or date night. Very cool bank vault wall and fireplace.. full size pool table... excellent. The one thing was not as unique as expected for a signature property was the room. It was rather average. So a good night's rest, but not the "whole experience"For the service, location and lobby I'd stay again. But looking for the full signature experience, not so much, but can't stress enough, everyone was great!Rooms: The room i was in was rather plain for a signature hotel. When I select a signature property, I always look forward to unique room, and this was not. Anna Vincent: This stay was beyond excellent; made that way by the extremely genial staff. The location was perfect for our needs also. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only small thing that was a negative is that non of the USB ports were operable. That was easily solved by bringing in our own chargers for our devices. I can't wait to go back in the nicer weather to try out the rooftop bar.
Gina Masterson: Every employee I encountered seemed to really enjoy working there. This doesn't always happen! The front desk was super willing to stop and help when they noticed any hesitation near the desk. The woman working F&B every morning was always smiling and seemed to really want for everyone to have a great day. LOVED THE LAUNDRY ROOM AMENITY! The room was clean and well thought out. 5 minute walk to campus - perfect for me in every way
Gina Ostrand: Efficient and friendly checkin, clean in all spaces including rooms.Location close to stadium and within walking distance to a Fresh Thyme if you need anything. Kyle Sendgikoski: As expected room, service, amenities. Visited in March so no crazy events. Three blocks from blue line light rail and US bank stadium.Rooms: Nothing special but temperature regulation was a bit annoying, either too cold or hot and thermostat adjustment would completely reverse.Nearby activities: Several nearby stadiums and venuesWalkability: Minneapolis is rather small downtown so 1 mile to city center is niceFood & drinks: Lots of options the further along the water you walk
Stephanie Fivie: Super great stay! Awesome atmosphere and within walking distance of so many restaurants. First night the heat wasn't working in our room but the front desk helped with getting another room together for us. Cute lobby seating area with pool table, and games. Bar from 4-11pm, pool and hot tub, and hot breakfast choices made to order! We definitely will stay here again!

Angela Radloff: Very nice hotel. Room was nice and clean. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They have a parking garage next to the hotel. I believe it was $25 for our one night stay. They have a bar and bistro. They serve Starbucks coffee. No complimentary breakfast so we ended up going out to get some breakfast. Pool is on the 14th floor. Near view from up there.Walkability: It was about .6 mile walk to US Bank stadium. Not bad.

Gayeon Lee: The room was super clean and well organized. Also, they offer early chek-in as well as Late check-out with no fee. They also have a luggage keeping service which is perfect for travelers. Every hotel room is dry but here has a small heat one side of the room and it blows the air directly, so it feels more dry. Generally I really satisfied for the wonderful service. Recommend
stefanie duncan: and that it drops you off right in front of the stadium. The entry, bar, and food was great and awesome service. I was super impressed with the room we got, so comfy and the view was amazing. I booked this hotel by mistake, but it was the best mistake I made. This will definitely be my hotel of choice and will recommend to all I know.

geoff nelson: Great place to stay, we stayed here for my birthday and I love the rustic feel while also being well taken care of. We stay here a couple times a year and every time the experience is awesome. The hot tub can get busy on the roof but feels great and doesn’t give off that nasty hotel hot tub vibe which is common with public pools. Truly amazing feeling on a cold night!! Sauna and bathroom area along with shower area is really nice and clean feeling on the roof and they even provide lockers with codes for you to store your belongings while you are using the amenities. Close to restaurants and everywhere else downtown so you can arrive and give your keys to the valet then not worry about driving anywhere until you leave. The restaurants in the building are a bit more modern style diners with unique dishes and as much as I enjoy trying different food sometimes I just want to know what I am getting. Not a negative thing just something different for me. Price totally justify’s what you get at this hotel. I highly recommend everyone to stay here and do not think you will be disappointed.

Jason Lewis: This place is perfect for catching any event in the downtown area. The staff even let me pay for the parking at the front desk. As I knew when I was leaving they took my payment and gave me tickets to get out of the parking garage. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Needless to say every time I'm in town to catch a Twins game I will be staying there.Rooms: Rooms are super clean and niceNearby activities: There is a lot to do all around this hotelSafety: Felt safe. I was not worried about staying there.Walkability: This hotel was within walking distance to Target Field. It was nice that they had skywalks to and from the hotel. Even though we walked outside on the street.Food & drinks: There were tons of food places everywhere. The hotel front desk even gave us a list of places and times they opened. Every helpful.
Alexi Wells: Loved the convenience of staying here for our visit and attendance of a concert.We tried using the digital room key feature but it was touch and go. It only worked sometimes and we ended up getting locked in the elevator which resulted in us requesting physical room keys.Rooms: Our room had a unique layout but that made it so the TV was really far from the bed. It could tilt toward a chair but both my husband and I wanted to watch.Nearby activities: Target center and field are connected by the sky walk which I'm sure includes many other activities. Many bars close bySafety: Room key is required for most doors and elevatorsWalkability: The skyway connects much of downtown as well as the hotel.

Knut Böhmer: Had a great two-night stay here for a conference. The front-desk staff was helpful and friendly. Tameka informed me that the room I booked was located on top of the elevator, and immediately offered to switch rooms for a very reasonable $5 upgrade per night - much appreciated!The room itself was clean and had everything I needed for two days. I was initially a bit concerned about road noise, but that turned out to be not a problem.The hotel is within easy reach of several hotels that were used for conference receptions, as well as restaurants, and the convention center is literally around the corner.Definitely a good place to stay for a reasonable price!
Nick Kilstein: This is a perfectly adequate hotel for the location and price. The service, parking, and breakfast are all good. The pool and hot tub are very nice. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit old and the showers are especially dated. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the curtains to prevent water from getting all over the bathroom.

Terry Hughes: .The gym is small but there are at least 3 decent machines.The location is on the edge of town but I felt safe. If you walk next door to the Ivy you can then access the subway network of elevated tunnels that cover the entire city, that was so useful when it was raining.Overall, I will definitely stay here again.

Brad Adams: Great hotel right next to the stadium.A 6 minute Uber to the convention center.The rooms are very nice and modern, very quiet. The lobby, bar reception and eating area are all very trendy and nice.The food portions are large for breakfast.
Mike Schuetze: We stayed here because it was close to the U medical clinic where we had an appointment and it looked like a cool place. SO happy we stayed here!!! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, it was quiet in our room even with a full bar, and the hotel itself was beautiful. I love the combination of the old architecture and modern feel. Whoever designed this was a genius. The bed was comfortable. The covered parking was a great option. The Nespresso in our room wasn’t the greatest thing, but if that’s the only complaint, ooookay! I have never felt so welcome at a hotel and cannot wait to get back to Minneapolis and stay here.

Lindsay Strand: We spent the night here after our wedding day. After a very noisy and busy day, it was great to have such a calm and peaceful room. The decor is very earth toned, which helped me relax after having a very overstimulating day. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. The staff was very accommodating due to the fact that we would be checking in late, and they were very friendly. I’m glad we got breakfast. I would love to stay here again.
