Spring Farm Sanctuary: what do users think?

Deann Delaney: Super great place to volunteer. Love the staff and animals. I come as often as possible.

Avi Baron: Wow! What a great place that treats rescued farm animals humanely. Meeting and petting Pete was the highlight of my trip, and that was before the wine tasting!

nick wilson: Such an educational and enjoyable your by the manager of the farm and the tour leader!A must go for kids and adults.

Sydney Stopera Garza: If I could give a millions stars I would! My fiancé proposed to me at this beautiful sanctuary 😍 forever in my heart.💕

Best Guess: This place is awesome! The animals are beautiful and well-loved. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and interesting. Totally recommend taking the tour!

Jessica Bui: This really opened up my eyes and helped me make the lifestyle change of becoming a vegetarian and vegan. Wonderful, educational experience!

Kam Margarethe: Thank you for what you provide for these sweet babies. They need compassionate people to fight for them like you guys do.

D. Watson: This place is wonderfully compassionate towards the animals. Their message shows that they care for the world and our health, especially the adorable farm animals! This is a must visit.

Paul McCabe (gbpxl): Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. These animals have a ton of room to walk around, eat grass, play with eachother. I am glad that organizations like this exist so at least some of the animals can be rehabilitated and loved rather than killed in factory farm for their meat or left on the side of the road after falling off a delivery truck.

Kevin McCollow: Had a truly wonderful time at the tour today.

Darcie Vandegrift: Quiet wooded park with paved and dirt trails. Good hiking, prepare for spring mud. Two entrances, so check with friends when you plan to meet.

Adam Bobst: Large natural forest, as well as lakes, rivers, and streams. Plenty of trails.

Matty Jorgensen: lots of trails to walk/hike. maybe don’t stay out too much past sunset - it gets dark fast!

Jim Soley: Beautiful place along the Mississippi River

Ricardo Martinez: This place is great for hiking, exploring, fishing, biking and animal watching. Bunch of paved and unpaved trails. I've seen beavers, eagles, coyotes and a bunch of other animals. There is also a Pavillion you can rent out. There are some caves in the area if you can find them, the kids call it "The Tunnel of Terror".

Karen Ollie: The Shashimi was so fresh and sizable.

Bobby LePera: Came to Minnesota just for this. We got 2 Happy Capy packages and it was awesome. Interacting with such animals is an ezperience like none other. Melissa who worked there was super informative and it was awesome to see the bond she has with all of the animals. She turned the 5 star experience into a 10. Thank you very much Melissa and crew. Nicole Fairclough: .Big entry in S.S. A bit spendy if you awant to do anything other than walk through and see critters.Kids opted for the Cupy package and with entry for all was $150+😳.We gathered up our cups of food and sticks for the bird cage and off we went. All animals appeared to be well cared for. There was no real smell of unclean animals. YES, they DO smell like animals, but not the stinky wet sour ammonia smell some places have had. 🤢It was busy but enough room to move and really see the animals. Most animals seemed past full and really didn't care about the food; except for the big goats, they seemed to eat whenever offered. The package the kids got included holding a joey, feeding the capybara, guinea pigs and feeding the birds. All experiences were great! The line for the joey gets a bit bottlenecked if there are more than 5 people in line and was a bit of a wait

Dain Boelter: Took my kid here for the first time with the wife and it was an amazing experience. You get to pet and feed all kinds of different animals including kangaroos, and ground hogs. Highly recommend!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Karissa Brownie: AMAZING! Definitely worth the admission price. Such a great array of animals and my kids loved it!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Brad Hessler: A wonderful time with the kids for an hour or two getaway at the mall. Children under 5 are free! The month pass is a great value as the little ones can visit time and time again to feed the animals. Free 15 minute animal shows to learn about the animals and pet opossums, alligators, fenex foxes, snakes and other baby animals. The parakeet experience is a wonder and worth the price of the stick. Goats, kangaroos, and wallabys are a joy to feed as they are so gentle. Place is clean, friendly, well run, and there are new things every month or two to see. About a 60-90 minute experience, but can stretch it to 2+ hours by doing "Holding" experiences. They have updated many of the enclosures to the benefit of the animals and visitors.

Gibbs Farm: what do users think?

Shanna Larson: What a cool place, take a guided tour if you can. Such a gem in the inner metro area!

Nicolas Schaeffer: The guided tour is a must, providing way more information than the few panels can.

JRob Zetelumen: Jenna gave an excellent tour. It was wonderful to hear a story of a settler who was respectful of native people.we really liked the sod house. It looked like a good way to have a very cozy insulated dwelling.Jenna told interesting stories about native customs and Gibbs family history. It was a fun outing for an afternoon and we recommend it

Andrea Raad: I went on a field trip with my daughter and her class to Gibbs Farm. The guides were very friendly and made it enjoyable for the kids and adults. Very interesting history about the Gibbs family and the Dakota Indians. ❤️💙

mary: Great place for kids

Christina Super: Was very informative and interesting! We went with a vast age range and they accommodated us the best they could. The littles probably would have liked more hands on stuff, which they offer in other tours, and we picked the combo one! We got to make candles and the kids loved it. They asked lots of questions and were interested in learning about the Dakota and Jane Gibbs.

Tianyi Li: Very nice place and be sure to join the guided tour. The tour gives a detailed overview of the history of the farm and Dakota culture overall. Totally enjoyed our time here. Recommend!!

Betty Jordahl: The best farm in town!

Tim White: Beautiful day for a walk

Daniel Fergus: We enjoy this place very much. It is a good place to spend a couple hours learning a bit about the history of native people and pioneers in this area. We also enjoy the summer day-camps here.

Jack Hoff: Nice place to go for a quick hike in the city. Although the hiking trails are very exciting it’s still a nice place to go for a walk. They also have a long bridge type thing you can walk on.

The Reviewer: Amazing place to hike with family! A great way to get outdoors and get into nature. It is also a very peaceful place to go and you can encounter lots of wildlife here! 😊

Horseplay Ranch: what do users think?

Shy: Amazing place, absolutely love the ppl and animals and the place in general. I've had our babies at a couple different places and they've been the happiest I've seen them here than any other. Owner is a heaven sent, such a sweet woman

Prasham Parikh: Great vibes, from the people and the animals

Brenda Rhone: I can not express my gratitude for this beautiful place. My horses are enjoying their new home. I have seen such a change in their attitudes. Mary and the staff is outstanding and very caring. Couldn’t ask for a better home for my girls.

Cindy Mosher: So happy to have found this place and people... the people are just as important as the place

Juli T: Warm and friendly place. The owner Mary cares deeply for the horses that live there and has a big heart. Hardest worker I've known! She's come up with great systems for running such a large place and truly listens to her boarders. She wants what is best for everyone! Horse Play Ranch has a lot of fun get-togethers year-round and there are many fellow horse lovers to spend time with and go riding. They have a cool track you can ride on too! I recommend the place regularly! 3

Steve Kuhl: I’ve bopped around a variety of boarding facilities in the greater Twin Cities area. Two years ago I found Horseplay ranch and I am deeply grateful I did. Mary, the owner, has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met and she cares deeply about horses and horse parents. I plan on adding photos soon.

Colleen Ramsey: Beautiful Ranch

Fraser Friends For Everyone: A wonderful place! Normal people who love animals!

Kayla Linkert: Great atmosphere, friendly people and well kept. The barn manager is awesome!

Jarrid Menzemer: Heat experience

Sandra J Callen: My horse, Beau, has thrived since moving to Horseplay last fall. He came in having lost weight at the previous stable and with a recent Cushings diagnosis. He has gained back his weight, is doing extremely well with the Cushings, and is relaxed and happy. So am I! Love Horseplay Ranch and love Mary, the owner!

Jill Fitzpatrick: This is the BEST place to board your horse! Love this ranch!

Kelly Sullivan: Great community of horse enthusiasts.

Holz Farm Park: what do users think?

Daniel T.: I have gone near this park many times through the years but had no idea about it. This is a great park in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. I'm so glad that when this area was developed that they preserved the farm buildings and The farmhouse. Even though it's in the middle of a suburb, it feels very country-like. The buildings are all very picturesque and the park is very nice. Nice playground equipment for children of ball field. They had parking there and they are also were mini picnic tables. I like seeing the old rusty farm equipment out by the one of the barns. They have a lake for bass fishing. Three men were putting their fishing boat in the lake while I was there and they said the fishing is good. I looked up their website and they have a great group supporting this Park and they have many events, I hope to go to some of them. The Eagan garden club has many nice flowers and other plants there. This is a very picturesque park.

David Dykes: Nice gardens

Thor Finny: Awesome and fun I play sports there

Divyesh Bhakta: Very nice park for kids

Leah Goldberger: We went on a hay ride, went inside a real farm house that had been fixed up nicely, saw a woman churning butter, saw a blacksmith doing something with a fire. The boys took cobs of corn and put them into a machine, then cranked it, which separated the kernels from the cob. There was a fake cow that the kids practiced milking. The udders were realistic and actually squirted water. The boys also cranked a machine which took twine and braided it into rope. It was so simple but kind of genius. The barn was really large with a super high ceiling.I hope we remember to go back and see the fields packed with all the crops which they are starting to plant now. After the long Minnesota winter, it was delightful to be outdoors and see all the greenery and enjoy a warm day.

Christopher Lawler: A really neat spot! A cool bench by the lake behind the farmhouse was my favorite feature.

Steve Barr: Santa, Mrs. Claus and reindeer were there

Alicia Thomas: Good

Danielle O'Connell: Eagan has done some good events here, but it can be hit or miss. Sometimes the descriptions make you think it's something different than what it is. Also there are events where you have to get tickets and the site doesn't actually link you to them. In general the farm house is nice to tour and area is nice with a playground nearby for kids.

Aaron Fraher: Fun little park nestled in a residential area and great for photos!

Cory Chenevert: We've attended the Holz Farm Spring two years in a row and have attended other events over the years. Wonderful preserved piece of history and a gem of Eagan!

Anna Burnham: I have never been to an event at Holz Farm, but we enjoy coming to walk around and it's also one of the best places to take photos! It's a small but beautiful layout with lots of flowers in the spring/summer and cute holiday decorations in the winter.

Take the time, let your curiosity get the better of you , and go get some amazing eats.BEWARE parking and entrance is single lane, must be mindful of other divers by driving slow and parking as far to the side as you can. This is a residential orchard so it’s a driveway not a road. You do not pick apples and there are no activities. It’s a small store. Make sure to check hours and dates that they are open.

Hunter Ropal: Cute local owned store, staff are very knowledgeable about the apples they grow!

Heather Sutera: Great variety of apples, caramels, and decor. The man running the inside was very friendly and answered any questions you had on the apples themselves and what to use each variety for. Reasonably priced for such incredible apples.

Jean Hawemann: I have been going there for years,it is very nice, close to home & and are very friendly

Raina Vance: What a great experience!! Walk around the orchard and then pick up very well priced bags of apples, caramels, and fresh honey

eddie ciletti: Love this local orchard. Over 100 years old...

Hanna S: This orchard is a really lovely hidden gem. The owners are kind and helpful. The apples are incredible, my sister and I agree it’s some of the best apples we have ever had. It has a nice calm atmosphere. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Sarah Schaefer: The apples were such exceptional quality. Perhaps the best apples I’ve ever eaten. I can tell that they were grown with care, expertise, and love. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone that wants apples.

Pam Ray: This was an amazing place. The ladies were so nice

JustJune_ Pierce: Great hometown feel. The people were incredibly nice to us. Gave us a tour and answered our many questions. Tested some apple cider and bought lots of stuff. These people are so kind and their grandson was adorable. We wish them all the best.

Jen B: Great neighborhood orchard!!

Catherine Leimbach: This does not have all kinds of glitz and glamor. It's small and you park on the grass. But the people are really nice, and for a very short get away with the kids it would be fun. I'm not sure if you can go wander through the orchard; you'd have to ask.

Andrea Ghizoni: We love this hidden gem! We found it last year when we wanted to visit an orchard, but didn’t want to be in huge crowds in the midst of Covid. The folks here are so kind and it’s just a sweet little place

Aimee Fenne: Wonderful. Can't wait to go back there!

Richard Anesi: Apples.
