4worldlovers: Inspired by Working Class Acupuncture in Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis Community Acupuncture has a calm, relaxing environment where patients receive individualized acupuncture treatments in a group setting, creating a shared healing community. Patients also are interconnected in community through our sliding fee scale. Each person pays what they can afford, within this scale, which sustains the community as a whole.
Deborah is licensed with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Deborah Malaga: I was dealing with nausea and dizziness for several months and had seen multiple doctors and tried many remedies. Nothing worked better than acupuncture and after only one treatment my symptoms improved greatly. I recommend going 2-3 sessions per week, at least in the beginning for best results. My symptoms disappeared completely after the third treatment.The clinic is clean, organized and well run. Deborah is caring and listened to all of my symptoms and came up with a great treatment plan. Mikaela Kamish: I had my first acupuncture treatment done yesterday and I am shocked! I went there with a two day migraine and felt relief almost instantly. My pain level went from about a 7 to a 2 when I was there. Then by the time I got home, my migraine was completely gone! I tried EVERYTHING before that - meds, ice packs, etc. Nothing helped. Jesse Owings: Concussion Headaches - I have been suffering from different types of head issues for years. From brain fog in my 20's and 30's to piercing debilitating headaches in my 40's. In the last couple of years I could barely get out of bed some days. I have gone to every type of doctor imaginable with them finding nothing that is wrong with me. A neurologist finally ordered an MRI. The neurologist said I may be suffering from an old head injury from my youth. Sometimes I would just forget what I was doing out of the blue. I was literally walking around for 3 decades with an undiagnosed old brain injury. They're options for me were medications that may or may not work for disorders I do not have. Also toting horrible side effects. No thank you. I then heard acupuncture helps with many conditions that there are no other treatments for. I started seeing Dr Ma before Covid-19 and my headaches were almost completely gone! I could not be happier with the results I have gotten and the staff is wonderful icing on the cake!

Tom Ehlinger: Dr. Ma was able to give me relief from a long term chronic cough. I had had a cough for several years that interfered with conversations and I'd frequently have coughing fits that left me dizzy. I'd had an MRI which turned up nothing and was prescribed an inhaler that had no effect on the cough. I never knew that acupuncture could treat coughs, but upon recommendation of a close friend I went to see Dr. Ma and I'm glad I did. I've had two sessions and my cough has been drastically reduced to an occasional small throat clearing. I will definitely keep Dr. Ma and acupuncture included in available options for my health care going forward.

Laura: Have you noticed how almost every review is 5/5 on here? Believe the hype! It's all legit! Shane is my 3rd Acupuncturist and my favorite! I know nothing about acupuncture or chinese medicine but from the quality of my care alone I can tell that Shane is experienced, highly knowledgable, and passionate about his work. I have terrible TMJ, and his treatment is amazing! Very helpful and chill guy!

All around great experience as a 2 year customer. Not to mention acupuncture has been the best treatment for making the withdrawal from prescription drugs less awful — physically and mentally. Headaches, anxiety, stress, depression treatment is great. In addition, I’ve had better luck here with range of motion in my neck, and less back pain, than seeing my chiropractor- couldn’t believe it. Great for nerve pain and just basically anything in general. The staff here is always welcoming also.

Multiple neurologists and many medications later, during an especially intense couple months of migraines, a massage therapist suggested I try acupuncture. Within 2 months I noticed a HUGE difference and after a couple more months I was nearly headache free. I don’t have to be on daily meds for prevention anymore, which is a game changer. Highly recommend giving acupuncture a try!

Dua Hli Harris: Dr. Kruse and Dr. Guan are both very intelligent, informative and skilled at what they do. Going into acupuncture I really did not know a lot, I just knew that with my infertility issues, I needed additional help along with the IVF treatment I currently was receiving from another clinic. Also, I really loved the idea of TCM as part of my care.Fast forward 4 months... I've had a successful egg retrieval, menstrual cycles, no more migraines and I am sleeping better.I did not think my egg quality or egg count would be great but my mind was blown at the results and I know that was possible due to the acupuncture I received.I am currently still receiving acupuncture as I go into my transfer and will continue post transfer as well.If you're reading this and wondering if acupuncture helps with infertility, don't wonder. Do it. It can't hurt you, it's only going to increase your chances.Also, you can't go wrong with either doctors, they're both great.
Bizz: As someone who is very skeptical by alternative medicines, I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of my treatment with Dr. Guan! Over a period of a couple months, I slowly began having constant tension headaches. Dr. Guan assured me this was treatable. I saw Dr. Kruse for an herbal consultation and she took the time to learn about my fertility journey including surgery for endometriosis and IUI, and more recently acupuncture alone. Based on my history she prescribed an herbal product that worked well for me, and fortunately I became pregnant after three months on this regimen! I am now 13 weeks pregnant and everything has been healthy and normal. I love sharing my experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shen with my midwife team at my clinic. I feel so supported and cared for and I can’t thank Dr. Kruse enough for her professional and attentive care.
