Blooma Minneapolis: what do users think?

Tiffany Landy: , and she was a true delight. She was fantastic with my daughter and was a huge help. In addition to having an extra set of hands to entertain my daughter, she always checked in on me emotionally and physically, which I appreciated. She constantly made sure she was helping me or my daughter, or that the house was being taken care of. I would not have been able to survive the postpartum period without her.

Kylee Haglund: We attended a lactation class and I had a prenatal massage which were both fabulous but I’m here to mostly talk about our experience with Blooma doula service. Our doula was Meagan during our meetings prior to birth she helped us feel more prepared for birth and what to expect/ask our provider leading up to the big day. This knowledge gave me more confidence leading up to birth but where Meagan really shined was during labor. She came in and helped us navigate this very intense beautiful experience. She coached myself and husband and I felt so supported. I truly believe that she was a large factor in me having a positive birthing experience and I am beyond happy with the service.

Nicole Campbell: Our baby is now a month old and we've had the best experience with Blooma over the past 9 months. We attended several birth classes there, I went to yoga, received chiropractic and massages throughout pregnancy and we also used Blooma doulas for our birth.Blooma doulas were definitely the highlight for us and were so helpful to both my husband and myself. Aleida and Shaina were helpful throughout my pregnancy and amazing during labor both before the hospital and once we got there. I had an easy pregnancy, but nothing about the birth was what I had planned for and having doulas who prepped us for that throughout the pregnancy and were there in the moment to talk through things really helped us make the best of the experience. The hospital was also so busy that weekend that we barely saw the midwife, which made Shaina’s support and experience extra valuable for the birth. It was just us, Shaina and our nurse for most of the time and we would have been lost without the two of them! Shaina also took fantastic photos for us!

Nina Durkopp: We cannot speak highly enough of Aleida Vanderbrug & Shaina Towler and the invaluable support they provided during the birth of our child. From our initial meeting, we knew we had found someone special. They exuded warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for our well-being.Throughout the entire process, Aleida & Shaina were a calming presence, offering unwavering support and guidance. They took the time to understand our preferences and concerns, ensuring that our birth experience was tailored to meet our needs.During labor, Aleida was a true rock. She provided continuous physical and emotional support, offering comfort measures and reassurance every step of the way. Her expertise and calming presence helped us navigate unexpected challenges with confidence and grace.Beyond the birth itself, Aleida & Shaina were a pillar of support in the postpartum period, offering invaluable advice and encouragement as we adjusted to life with our newborn. We are immensely grateful to Aleida & Shaina for their role in our birth journey. They went above and beyond to ensure that we felt empowered, supported, and cared for every step of the way. We wholeheartedly recommend Aleida & Shaina & Blooma to anyone seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable birth doula.

Jessica Spanswick: We hired Anna Hoyme as a postpartum doula in preparation for the birth of our first baby. Anna went above and beyond! She helped us navigate lactation, sleep, cloth diapers, communication, recovery from birth, anxiety, etc. She was always so incredibly kind, understanding, and proactive. She is also exceptionally knowledgeable about infant and new mother care. We miss her already!

Dani S: and...she didn't only make it bearable but absolutely entertaining and informative. We learned SO much! I would absolutely recommend Blooma!

Brittany Gomez: I recently took a Doula training workshop at Blooma, what an incredible experience! The Blooma studio was a perfect place to learn and ignite even more passion for birthwork. As part of the training weekend we also got to experience a prenatal yoga class with expecting mothers - to see the comfort and community for all those mamas to be was heartwarming. I will recommend Blooma to all my clients!!

Katie Heberer: Blooma is the best! All the classes create a sense of community; it’s more than yoga, it’s a way to connect with others. I would highly recommend all the BYOB barre and yoga classes; it’s a great way to move your body while staying with baby. All the teachers are highly knowledgeable and make modifications as needed.

Lia Sherman: . I've been coming here for nearly a decade, and no week feels complete without walking through the door. 10/10 recommend, 100 stars if I could give them, A+ local business run by incredible women.

Autumn Onelove: I received a very relaxing prenatal massage from Molly Hajkova. She made me feel very comfortable. The space was very relaxing and calming. I also really appreciated that I was able to lay face down as they have a special table to give space for baby in my belly! Thanks Molly!

Megan McCord: Blooma has been such a joy for my first year of motherhood. It is a welcoming place for moms and women! I have utilized the education classes, workouts and massage. I appreciate the discount for being an RN!

greta: your name and ask if anything is going on in your body before they start class to ensure they are teaching with modifications in mind. They also incorporate mindfulness into the practice which has enabled me to improve my mind-body connection.Whether you are pre-natal, post-natal, or neither like me – it is a great community for every gender, body, age, and yoga level. The wide array of people enables us to accept each other and ourselves for who we are and where we are in life. I also appreciate the wide array of classes and services. Between flow yoga, restorative yoga, barre, mat pilates, workshops, massage therapists, teacher training, and more – I have everything I need at Blooma – for my mind, body, and heart.

Nancy Holtze: Blooma yoga is hands down my favorite studio to practice yoga at and I have lived in many places and tried out countless studios. There is something so uniquely special at Blooma and you feel it the minute you walk in the door. The warmth of the greetings and the community is beyond rich. You feel it immediately and it is welcoming to all. I love the diversity of ages and levels and the instructors are experts in their crafts, always offering alternative options and making sure everyone is comfortable and safe. I look forward to every class. And it is a place for ALL! No need to be female, pregnant or have any children at all.

Ashley O'Reilly: Meagan and Shiana were fabulous.I called them for SO MANY QUESTIONS during pregnancy and postpartum. They always answered - day or night - and made us feel like their most important clients. The suggestions they provided such as when to see a chiropractor, when i should go to the hospital during labor, and when we needed to contact peds for our new baby are all incredibly helpful. Yes, they are expensive, but I would pay DOUBLE to have them again. They were that great!

Libby Arnosti: My prenatal massage with Gretchen was hands down the best massage I have ever had. She made me feel so at ease in the space, listened to what was going on with my body in pregnancy, and personalized her massage really well to what I needed. Her technique is excellent and I truly melted on the table for all 90 minutes. At the end of the massage she gave me resources, tips based on what I am experiencing in my pregnancy, and ideas for how my partner can help me. I am absolutely coming back again, 10/10 would recommend.

Molly McGurran: , birth classes and body work. The doula staff is so talented & their birth education courses are chalked full of information. There is such a strong sense of community & wonderful staff who are knowledgeable and kind!

Hannah Henderson: Our overnight postpartum doula Taylor was fantastic. She made things so easy by handling overnight feedings, bottling/labeling my pumped milk, folding baby laundry, and providing tips and insight about questions we had about diaper rash, sleep schedules, and what's "normal" for twin infants. My husband and I would highly recommend Taylor!

Nokomis Yoga: what do users think?

Tasha Nienow: I've taken classes and workshops at Nokomis Yoga for years. It's a hidden gem! The owner, Solveig, is extremely knowledgeable about yoga and meditation, and she has a warm and supportive presence in class. Her classes are restorative and cultivate a greater self awareness. I highly recommend her studio.

Frances Olimb: Nokomis Yoga with Solveig is the best….a cozy, comfy space in a quaint and homey neighborhood…and Solveig is a most accommodating instructor, absolute must!

Colleen Malone: Solveig has a wonderful yoga studio & is an excellent teacher. She explains & shows yoga moves before you do them in class so you will have less questions & understand what you are doing next. Her classes are fabulous!!

Carol Rone: Solveig is a wonderful teacher-helpful, patient and very motivating. Small classes and the personal attention make this a great studio

Kristin Lyngaas: This yoga studio is phenomenal. Many different levels and classes! Solveig is so kind and the studio is spacious and inviting. Can’t wait until I have class again.

Carol Singer: Lovely space for doing yoga. I love that I can learn and practice at my own fitness level without feeling intimidated.

Deb Brisch-Cramer: Have been going to Nokomis for over 10 years. The Restorative Yoga is one of a kind---my sister was visiting from Florida and I took her to Solveig's class. She's loved it and has never been able to find another restorative yoga class as good!

Kathryn Graves: I have been going to Nokomis Yoga for over 10 years--Solveig is a wonderful instructor.

Maureen R: , and it's been both body and life changing. It's such an inclusive and supportive style of yoga that most anyone can do and benefit from, and Solveig is a wonderful teacher who takes the time and care to make sure everyone gets the most out of every class or therapy session she guides. I can't recommend this yoga style, this yoga studio or Solveig enough!

Katie Mortenson: Solveig is fantastic - such a calm, relaxing class with gentle and encouraging guidance. Svaroopa yoga is especially great for my back and neck and also quiets my mind. I never liked other yoga classes and couldn't do a lot of the balancing they required, but this one is mostly on the ground and much better for me. Studio is cozy, sunny and casual.

donna lawton: I've practiced yoga my entire adult life and Nokomis Yoga is by far the best!!! Solveig is an extraordinary teacher. Her skills, knowledge and warmth are such a gift. The benefits I receive from attending classes at Nokomis Yoga are immeasurable. I'm so grateful!

Patty Rees: Svaroopa yoga at Nokomis Yoga is wonderful. Anyone can practice Svaroopa yoga no matter your age or fitness level. The poses are gentle and help release tension/pain in your body and calms your mind. Solveig is a great instructor and will make you feel welcome. I encourage everyone to try it!

Alysse Thibodeau: Svaroopa yoga sessions with Solveig are phenomenal. I have been going for years and enjoy each time I go. It feels restorative and relaxing!

Anna Mier: They are still offering classes via zoom. And by appointment private classes. Svaroopa yoga has made a tremendous difference in my back. This place has warm and welcoming energy. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind and patient.

Bridget Jordan: 2015 update: attended Myra's vinyasa class tonight and it was AMAZING! Great instructors and very personalized service. They are extremely helpful and available to help you adapt the poses to your body and level of flexibility/strength/injuries etc. Highly recommend this neighborhood studio, much nicer then the overcrowded gym classes I have taken before.2016 update: I just took Sarah's baby bonding class and it was fantastic. Personalized attention for you and your baby. Lots of attention paid to baby but also to mom and focusing on our recovering bits! Baby loved looking around and it was fun to use baby as a counterweight in some poses. Highly recommend.

Holly LaBerge: Starting your day with yoga brings presence to the rest of your day. If you are interested in starting a regular morning practice, I recommend going to Gentle Morning Stretch with Deb Hennen-Bergman. A very effective way to infuse your whole day with mindfulness.

Sharon Parker: It's wonderful how Jinjer adapts the poses as needed for those who have physical limitations of one kind or another; and I appreciate her cheerful demeanor and sense of humor. Highly recommended!

Jo Ellen Davis: I met Solveig at meetings of Friends of the Nokomis Community Library. Through the Friend's group I found out about her Nokomis Yoga Studio. I have been attending her Wednesday morning Restorative Yoga classes and have been greatly impressed with her individual attention to her students/clients during the small group classes. She incorporates adaptive props and methods to repair existing pain and damage and to prevent further injury. It is a calming and indeed restorative education in the practice of Yoga. I thoroughly enjoy my time spent there. I can feel the changes in my flexibility, my attention to my own body, and my thoughts.

Nora Beckjord: I have only been to 2 of Solveig's classes but I enjoyed both of them very much. Solveig is a wonderful teacher and her studio is bright and cheerful. I have recommended Nokomis Yoga to several students in the neighborhood and will continue to do so.Namaste,Nora

Minneapolis Yoga: what do users think?

Miki Griffin: Absolutely the best studio in town!

Jason Barba: Best yoga studio in the Twin Cities!

Kathy Farzanegan: As a long-term practitioner of Hot Yoga and new resident of Mpls, finding a great studio was critical to me. Mpls Yoga is one of the best studios I have ever been to. Every teacher is highly skilled and brings expertise and wisdom to each class. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is wonderful - as is the beautiful facility. I feel lucky every day I practice in this wonderful studio.

S H: Not only do I love what Mpls Yoga does for my body and mind, I love the community of people that generates such an awesome vibe

Ann Hustad: Wonderful clean safe studio with amazing instructors! Love mpls yoga!

Lisa Banks: I have been to a lot of yoga studios, but Minneapolis Yoga is my favorite to visit. It's always on the top of my list of things to do in the cities. The atmosphere, excellent instructors, and overall feeling of the studio is amazing!

Kristen C: This yoga has changed my life and now I cannot, will not live without it. Thank you to Melissa and all the teachers for creating a welcoming environment and community for all.

Shannon OHearn: My wife and I do a lot of traveling to various states and always make time to do hot yoga. Minneapolis Yoga is by far the best. The instructors are awesome and the studio has a warm and inviting vibe.

Sara Bromeland: I joined this studio in March of 2020, although I’ve practiced this style of yoga for 18 years. The 90 minute original hot yoga classes work wonders for mind and body. The community is welcoming to all and the instructors are exceptional.

AMY DAHLIN: The instructors at Mpls Yoga are great! Knowledgeable and encouraging, they have helped me so much in the last 7 months! This is a really welcoming and supportive community.

Kristine Stanski: I have been connected to the studio for 20 years. People who go there always talk about what an incredible community it is. I love all the classes for different reasons. Bending my spine in four directions on the regular has changed my life in profound and beautiful ways. The inferno Pilates class is so fun and full body. All are welcome, hope to see you there!

Steve Borchardt: Discovered this studio last spring and it has quickly become one of my favorite things about the Twin Cities. I had been going to a very well known corporate yoga studio for a number of years and had found myself frustrated with the infrequency that the original 26 and 2 hot yoga series was offered - and then only in an abbreviated 60 minute form - so finding out about Minneapolis Yoga was a revelation for me. The full 90 minute 26 and 2 series is offered multiple times daily, making it far easier to commit to a regular practice than at other studios. The studio space itself is calm and does not feature distracting music during the classes, and the overhead lighting is very soft and not at all glaring, making it possible to really reap the mediative benefits of this practice. Most importantly, the level of instruction here is second to none. The instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable and offer instructions that will ensure you will grow in your practice as you continue to show up. The vibe and community of this studio is very warm and welcoming as well. This place is a gem.

Amy Holmstrom Clay: The teachers are fabulous! It is wonderful community to which to belong!

Jeanette Garcia: Every day miracle is such a helpful place from car seats to doula to chiropractic.Dr Kelsey is the best chiropractor I've ever been to, wonderful hands compassionate heart.Got my baby's car seat there they brought it over to my house. Genoveva best doula so prepared for any thing you need compassionate, full of information. Love this place.

Jaime Delzer: It gave both my husband and I so much confidence. After this class, things started to feel much more "real" with our pregnancy, but we also started to have a lot more fun... We had really needed to connect and share experiences with other parents-to-be and to have some help knowing what to expect. We got that and had a blast doing it!Have since taken advantage of some of the other classes and offerings - Everyday Miracles is such a great resource for our community! Clearly, there is a lot of love and passion going into this organization from a group of powerful, intelligent women.

C Johnson: Can’t speak highly enough about our experience with one of their Doulas, Abby. She was punctual and prepared for all of our appointments and helped inform us of our birthing options. When it came time to deliver the baby, Abby stayed with us for nearly 24 hours at the hospital and provided great support throughout the process of labor. Worth every penny and would highly recommend Abby for all of your doula needs. Also great to know that the organization provides support for those who otherwise could not afford a doula. Everyone should have the option of using a doula for the birth experience because it was so helpful.

Tori Hensley: Love love looooove Everyday Miracles! This organization truly cares about offering affordable prenatal education, doulas, and yoga for all mommas to be regardless of their income! I have personally benefitted from yoga class taught by Cheyenne and Melissa and their prenatal education. I am so grateful for this organization and their dedication to serving mothers in MN.

Anon Anon: As a first time mom, there are so many unknowns. The doulas are excellent teachers and help guide and coach new mommies with no judgment or expectations. I would definitely recommend them to any mommies.

Caitlin Nelson: My spouse and I did the Lamaze Crash Course and loved it! Great instructor, useful information and logical flow to the class. We left feeling much more informed and prepared.

Bryce Hutchings: Kelsey Lloyd is AMAZING! I was shocked at how much progress I had made after one visit.

Charlie Foust: Everyday Miracles is a comprehensive resource for birthing families. From doula care to childbirth education and wellness care to group support- if you are having a baby, you need to be here. Conveniently located in NE Mpls!!

Braden Peltier: Kelsey Lloyd is the best chiropractor I've been to!! & FYI you don't have to be pregnant or a woman...

Also, yoga fit is more affordable than other gyms/studios. It’s the best!

Second of all, they have such friendly staff and instructors and I always felt that I got an amazing workout. I feel like whether you are a beginner or an expert, this place gives you what you need. Very respectful and kind owners as well - when I sprained my ankle and needed time off, Ashok was so kind and helpful, putting my account on hold with no paperwork and no hidden fees. 10/10 recommend.

Emily Thrune: I discovered YogaFit in 2018 and immediately fell in love with their classes! The combination of exercise and mindfulness provided by their wonderful instructors is so amazing. There’s a great sense of community in the studio, and I always leave feeling refreshed and sweaty! The owner Ashok is also the most kind human ever and really makes you feel like you belong. I had to take a break from the studio for a while, but I missed it so much that I’m coming back!

amie durenberger: 5/5 stars. If you’re looking for a new place to practice yoga, YogaFit will not disappoint. They have a great selection of different classes so you can work up a sweat or relax with restorative yoga. The teachers are wonderfully knowledgeable and incredibly kind, they always made the space feel extremely welcoming and offered alternatives to certain poses so anyone at any physical fitness level could participate. The space is clean and calming. And the owner, Ashok, really goes above and beyond to stay connected and make sure that you are fully happy with your experience. If you’re debating between this and CorePower, there’s no contest, YogaFit costs less and has a much higher quality!

Every class is fantastic, and each instructor is an absolute joy. The program has “met me where I am” very effectively, encouraging me and nudging me in very positive ways. While I know I have a long way to go on my yoga journey, YogaFit Studios has given me the jump start I knew I’d need to start 2023 on the right foot. YogaFit Studios has checked all the boxes for an out of this world yoga experience.

Ana Bilben: YogaFit has been wonderful! My favorite class has been the YogaFlow 1 with Lexi. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the studio is comfortable and clean.

Anna Ware: Very welcoming atmosphere, class A yoga studio!

Tula Yoga & Wellness: what do users think?

Jaime Erbach: Wonderful place.

Kelli McCully: I am in love with Tula, especially anything SomaYoga. If you like a slow-paced, very deliberate and aware practice, give it a try.

marieT Parke: My daughter Kaylee attended Tula Yoga for a while and loved it, the classes are scheduled at kids pace per age group, very calming and positive results! Kayleeizagfcfkid

Anne Lampright: The teachers are all so kind and offer something for people of all levels. I try to bring my family and friends as often as possible! Thanks, Tula!

Shawn Blackburn: I am so glad that I decided to try Yoga. Especially with this new Zoom Class in home format. And, with Tula Soma as my starting point. I started with zero background and in just a few short weeks I am seeing a difference in movement and pain management. Dan has a quiet calm assurance and knowledge that helps lead the class and discussion. I was also happy to share a space with only men while we talked about issues that we all face safely. There could be a bit of improvement with the Zoom class Technology limiting the uses of Audio and Visual and I'm sure that will come. I look forward to continuing my learning and practice with Tula.

Philip Guettler: , called "The Men's Series". As you might have figured out; it was for guys only. I signed up because I wanted to get more into yoga, but had been intimidated by co-ed yoga in the past and the "men's only" aspect was appealing. Our instructor was Dan and he was exceptional. Not only because of his knowledge and calm demeanor, but because he encouraged and accepted wherever we were in our yoga journey. We had some beginners and some that were more advanced; but I think it worked for all of us. I know it worked for me. I especially enjoyed our check-in at the beginning of our session. We would each talk about how we were doing and Dan would usually discuss a topic around the positive thinking and meditation aspects of yoga. Yoga apparently, is not only about the movements; it's about the mind as well. The class exceeded my expectations.

Michael Bellotti: By far One of the best yoga establishments in town. Super awesome environment to learn and practice. They have some amazing art hanging on the walls as well. If you’re not located near this place it’s definitely worth the trip over for a class.

Ahmisa Baysudee: Took the class that's for families through the Emily Program.Their facility is beautiful, and people are kind! The class was fantastic! We've learned great yoga practices and body ideals!

Ross Edgemon: Very welcoming staff, very spacious, excellent instruction. A very loving kind community. Being donation based is great. I always give as much as I can afford and don't feel guilty even if it's just 5$, which is the minimum. This studio has me back into my practice again.

Paige Carter: Absolutely love Tula. The teachers are all wonderful and supportive and offer a variety of classes that are affordable for nearly any budget! Highly recommend

Maggie McConville: I went to my first zumba class here and it was so fun. I recommend going with some friends.

Jennie Jensen: This is a beautiful studio with courteous staff! Overall great atmosphere!

Fertile Ground Natural Care: what do users think?

Regina Dolan: I am deeply grateful I stumbled upon Fertile Ground last year. I saw Lauren and she was truly one of the most consistent presences throughout both our fertility journey and my entire pregnancy. I sit here with our beautiful, healthy baby boy and I know that Fertile Ground helped make this possible.

Maggie Weiers: Chandler flipped my breech baby!! It was incredible. His bodywork sessions are always amazing but when I came in for a regular appointment with an update from my doctor that my 37week old baby had flipped, he mentioned that he was also training in Spinning Babies techniques and we should focus on trying to reposition baby during our time that day. While he was working on me, my baby flipped back to head-down as I was laying on the table!! My water broke about a week later and I was able to have a vaginal delivery with no complications—baby was in the perfect position. I’m so grateful to have a place like Fertile Ground available as a women’s health resource.

Maria Forsythe: The whole place has such a warm and inviting feel to it. I have seen Chandler multiple times and have been amazed at the results. He has such a deep understanding of the body and how it stores the stresses and traumas of life. His finesse in releasing that stored stress is always gentle and never painful like some of the other body work I have tried in the past. I can not recommend him enough!

Amber Young: I’m so grateful for the compassionate, loving care that I get from Fertile Ground. Kara Yorkhall is the epitome of presence, patience & invitation. I know that sessions with her are a sacred, safe place for the truth of whatever I’m feeling to be shared. I always leave with deep peace & gratitude after acupuncture with Kara.Chandler’s healing hands are highly skilled in helping to mend the marriage of body, mind & spirit. His bag of well-working body work tricks runs extremely deep & wide — and often times surprisingly fast! I tell anyone who airs an ache or pain, “Go see Chandler”. Sessions with Chandler are very intuitive, for both of us, and I’m always left with a feeling of buoyancy in my heart.

Emily Jones: I can not say enough wonderful things about Kara and Fertile Ground. I have been plagued by long periods my entire life, and they continued to get longer after having 3 kids. On average they were 12-16 days. I've had multiple procedures to try to fix it including a hysteroscopy and 2 d&c s, and I've been on every kind of birth control you can think of. Nothing worked. My only OBGYN option left was a hysterectomy, and I decided to give acupuncture a try as a last hope. Well, after 2 months of seeing Kara I just had my first normal period in years. I could not believe it. On top of that my extreme PMS symptoms, sleep issues, and anxiety have improved dramatically. Not to mention the treatments themselves are so incredibly relaxing I look forward to them every week. I highly recommend Fertile Ground, and am so glad I decided to give them a try.

Gabrielle Filip-Crawford: and back/neck pain. My experiences have always been excellent, both with acupuncture and massage. The practitioners here are highly trained, kind, empathetic, and caring. I can't recommend them enough.

Cady Rowe: Kara is wonderful - takes a really comprehensive approach to understanding the whole person, is a great support and makes even a needle-phobic person like myself feel comfortable.

Liz Loeb: I have loved receiving acupuncture and bodywork at Fertile Ground - everyone there is warm, welcoming, and highly skilled. More than that, I feel fully accepted and supported in my journey towards healing and parenthood. Thanks Fertile Ground!

Senia Lee: I have been a patient at Fertile Ground for the past 5+ years and feel lucky to have found such a wonderful clinic. Kara and her team have supported me through anxiety, fertility, pregnancy, post-partum, and most recently, helped make significant improvements in my sleep after years of struggling. The team is empathetic, personable, compassionate, and experts in their field. I would highly recommend Fertile Ground for any woman looking to nurture their emotional, physical, and mental health!
