Ever wanted to go spend some time at a local winery but didn’t because it was such a long drive? We’ve fixed that for you. We’re in the heart of the Twin Cities metro in South Minneapolis. Our taproom is small but cozy, the perfect place for meeting up with friends, finding a gift for a family member, reading a book or getting together to play trivia. Curious about how we make wine or where we get fruit? We’ll tell you all about it.

Everything we make here is from locally sourced fruit and is 100% gluten free. Our offerings include hard cider, mead, grape wine and eclectic fruit and vegetable wines. You can try them all in our taproom, open six days a week or opt for delivery within the 494/694 loop.

Our taproom and production winery are located at 3016 East Lake Street in the heart of South Minneapolis. We typically feature five ciders on draft, a house-made soda, and up to 9 different wines by the glass. Offerings change weekly.

The first new experience is the Historic Cathedral Hill & Summit Avenue Walking Tour. Explore the city’s most scenic and historic neighborhood. Here the Victorian era’s movers and shakers, immigrants and servants, and priests and industrialists created a slice of St Paul which defined the golden age. * Public and private tours available, May through September.


This year’s second new experience is the Trendy North Loop Food Tour. Join us in the newest, coolest, hippest, trendiest neighborhood in Minneapolis – the North Loop – for a food adventure like no other in the Twin Cities. “NOLO” aka “the Warehouse District” is a vibrant neighborhood where old meets new and every block offers an invitation to stay longer. * Details coming soon!


Our Experience Experts draw upon numerous partnerships across the metro when creating tours, ensuring our guests receive authentic, quality food and drink, and special access to sites when available.

Our Tour Guides are one-of-a-kind, energetic, and passionate about Twin Cities history, sights, and the food and drink scenes. Whether they were raised here or chose to move here, each guide has developed their favorite stories and discovered their favorite venues which they’re excited to share with guests.

Several tours allow you to walk through the heart of Minneapolis or St Paul, for that up-close-and-personal interaction. Should your tour require transportation, you’ll travel in style in our comfortable, luxury coach buses or our fun-tastic open-air bus! (Even in winter. Seriously!)

4worldlovers: This organic white wine from France is ideal for the last hot week of summer. Creamy lemon aromas in the wine transform beautifully into citrus flavors, and high acidity is balanced by flavors of ripe fruit, citrus peel and tinned pineapple.

We can’t quite believe it, but it’s already Oktoberfest season! Fair State’s outstanding festbier is crisp, but still has that wonderful, bready, maltiness that the great Fall Festbiers have. It’s an absolute crusher and we love It! We stocked more than we ever have before, but this is always one of the first Oktoberfest beers to sell out, so don’t delay!

Bourbon is our September Spirit of the Month, and we’re feeling particularly excited about Four Roses (we even have a France 44 exclusive single barrel arriving this month)! The Small Batch is a smooth bourbon with rich caramel and soft notes of ripe red fruits. This is one of our favorites for cocktails but it’s excellent to sip on as well.

Yoga + Mimosas is back! Join us for a one hour all-levels yoga class in our event space with the wonderful Meghan Foley, then enjoy a light brunch and a mimosa in sunny lounge and patio. The perfect way to start your weekend!

Join us as we explore a selection of wines that perfectly capture the essence of the season. We will bring you through a guided tasting of vibrant reds, aromatic whites, and delicious surprises that harmonize with the changing leaves and crisp air.

Bring in the new year with Rosh Hashanah classics this holiday. On the menu: our beef brisket, oven-ready chicken, chicken soup, challah & apple cake. Pre-order online by 9/11 for pick up at either France 44 Cheese Shop or St. Paul Meat Shop on 9/14!


Each month, members will receive a curation of 3 cheeses, hand-selected by our expert mongers, along with an accompanying grocery item/cheese accessory, background notes, pairing recommendations, and an optional wine add-on!

At France 44, we partner with local farms prioritizing animal care and land stewardship. Our butchering team works to use every part of the animals. We invite you on September 9th for our Burger Pop-Up to share our passion for quality, local meat and excellent drinks with you on our sunny rooftop patio!
