Mill City Running: what do users think?

Herb Hirstein: Great experience! Kind and courteous staff. Quickly analyzed my foot style and recommended a perfect fitting New Balance shoe. Love the fit, and super comfortable!

Dena Huisman: I am not a runner or an athlete. I am sometimes intimidated going into a store that caters to more fit and athletic people. However, I felt really good in Mill City Running because they were there to help me find the right shoe for me—a lady who just likes to walk in comfortable shoes

Jordan Horejsi: Enjoyed my experience at Mill City, everyone was very helpful explaining differences in shoes and wanting to understand what my needs and training are like for a best fit.

Maria Karis: AMAZING place. I learned so much in the 45 minutes it took me to buy a pair of running shoes. Cannot recommend this place enough to new or experienced runners!

Guneet Sodhi: . She went above and beyond to help custom fit my seemingly abnormal feet. She put in every ounce of care to make sure she could fit me with the perfect shoe...I must have tried on the whole shoe store. Even more, she stayed beyond closing for me to ensure that I left satisfied. That's dedication and passion. I honestly wish every store let alone shoe store was like this one. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Kelly Brant: and it was a good Sunday activity! Overall, I'd highly recommend Mill City Running for beginners and it's great non-intimidating environment!

Grant Nelson: Best running store in the world! They have everything you need for walking, running, and everything else and the expertise you won’t find anywhere else!

Erica Ortega: I had such a wonderful experience here! I’m a new runner and Riley helped me pick out a pair of running shoes that worked the best for me!! The new shoes helped me resolve my knee pain issues and I’m so grateful! I also just want to express how great of an experience it was being new to running and being plus size. It can be intimidating going to fitness shops as a larger person and I wanted to say thank you for being so inclusive and making me feel like I belonged. I will definitely be back and I look forward to joining your group runs in the future!

Fleet Feet Minneapolis - Marathon Sports: what do users think?

Happy Customer: Fleet Feet is Fenominal!!! They optimize comfort and support of human movement with highly experienced staff and 3D imaging technology.

Tim Girod: Love fleet feet. Staff is always super friendly and helpful

Roger & Joanne Snyder: My sales associate was very knowledgeable, friendly, and competent. He looked up my shoe size from my last Fleet Feet purchase - I always buy my shoes there - and asked what I was looking for. In only one minute he was back with a few pairs to try. Great fit, as always!

Shawn Gibbons: Great store. Wonderful customer service. They're really busy on the weekends, but once you get help, it's outstanding customer service.

Emily Shields: I had a great experience at Fleet Feet Minneapolis! I was greeted immediately upon entering and staff were super engaged and friendly. I came in looking specifically for walking shoes, and did not feel ashamed for that request or looked down on by more advanced runners or staff. The team member who helped me, Max, went through the fit ID process with me and gave lots of helpful information about shoe styles and what my options could be. After trying on three or four pairs of shoes, I settled on one and felt really pleased with my overall experience!

Mary Breckenridge Quello: Super friendly and helpful! Such knowledgeable staff! Enough staff that I almost never have to wait for someone to help.

BoB Nesheim: Fleet feet has taken care of my son and I through three years of HS Cross Country and Track. The initial show fitting was flawless and new shoes every year have been great. The customer service when returning a pair that wasn’t working out was painless. Most recently, a newer pair of the same make/model/size was excellent. A feature we really appreciate is the treadmill, allowing for a good feel for the shoe at stride. The HS Team discount is also appreciated.

John Heitzman: . He really helped me decide which of the options was best for me. After wearing my new Altra’s, I can’t even bear to wear my Brooks Beasts anymore. What a difference!

michael hutto: Nice running store retailer with excellent customer service.

Vi Tran: Great service and great shoe selection. Whenever I need a new pair of running shoes, this is my go to store in Minneapolis!

JStoyk: Phenomenal staff that actually care about your well being while staying fit. Very helpful with foot shape/size and finding the perfect shoe for your foot.

O.J. Ojullu: Great staff!

Kayla Anderson: Wonderful place to buy running shoes. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who go above and beyond

Nicholas Fox: Awesome, knowledgeable staff and great selection! My go to local running store.

Anne Jensen: Great service! Super knowledgeable.

skyedogstudio: had a great experience at the store. The sales person was very knowledgeable and brought out fantastic choices that totally fit my needs. She spent about an hour with me while i tried on different shoes. I'm not a runner, but I needed shoes for walking after recovering from a broken ankle and I'm really happy with the pair I chose. The two staff members that were there were very friendly and helpful, and the store has a good vibe. i did use the measurement scan which was very cool. for a small local shop they had lot's of services and choices. I will definitely go back there next time I need a pair of shoes!

Jane Kittelson: Had a great experience buying a new pair of shoes: the service was quick, knowledgeable and selection was good. I’ll be back next time! 😍

Kent Elliott Allen: I’m 68, and I’ve been running since high school. Over the last year I finally had to stop running because of persistent foot injuries. I met with a sports physician and it helped but I kept getting injured. A friend recommended that I go to Fleet Feet. I got a personal fitting there, and was fitted with shoes that match my narrow, overpronating feet. Now I have run twice with no injuries. I can run again, at least a few miles at a very modest pace. I’ll slowly work up my mileage and hopefully run a few 10K races this summer. Thanks, Fleet Feet!

Jared Martin: Friendly staff that helps you find exactly what works best for your situation. Scanning the feet to see and determine the right shoe makes a big difference too. Great local business

Taylor Witt: Beth was an incredible help and made the process of selecting the right shoe very easy. The store had a great selection of many brands which Beth helped me navigate.

Destiny Xiong: If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. When I was searching up a local shoe store, I stumbled upon a captivating photo featuring the owner surrounded by a diverse array of shoes. Instantly, I knew I had to visit. The image exuded such charisma and passion that I couldn't resist the urge to experience the store firsthand.I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and genuine enthusiasm by the owner. Not only does the store boast an impressive selection of shoes, but what truly sets it apart is the owner's unparalleled knowledge and passion for footwear. It was evident from our conversation that he is incredibly well-versed in the art of shoe craftsmanship and design. He took the time to understand my preferences and provided invaluable recommendations tailored to my needs. What struck me the most was how effortlessly our conversation flowed – it felt like catching up with an old friend rather than a typical customer interaction. The owner's genuine demeanor and friendly personality created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.Furthermore, his dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction was truly commendable. He patiently answered all my questions and went above and beyond to ensure that I left the store with the perfect pair of shoes. In addition to the exceptional customer service, I was thoroughly impressed by the store's immaculate presentation and attention to detail. Every shoe was meticulously displayed, allowing me to browse with ease and discover new styles.Overall, my experience surpassed all expectations. It's rare to find a store where the owner's passion shines through in every aspect of the business. I left feeling not only satisfied with my purchase but also grateful to have discovered such a gem in the world of shoe shopping. I will undoubtedly be returning soon and recommending this store to all my friends and family. Five stars across the board!

Derek Wood: Best place to buy running shoes and equipment. The staff and ownership are very knowledgeable!

Dominic Nalan: Amazing knowledgeable service!

Ashton K: Fantastic staff, very patient and informative.

Pine Wine: which shows that the first priority wasn't a sale, but to keep me running long term.Since I wasn't handed exactly what I wanted I had a lot of questions to understand what/why it wouldn't work. I work with the public and I would have annoyed myself, but they answered all of them.I will go back to them for my next pair of shoes or coaching if they do that.

Christine Anderson: Very talented staff to help you pick the perfect shoe for you.Update.. I always enjoy purchasing shoes from this store. Staff is very helpful for your goals towards a comfortable shoe that fits your needs.

Alyssa Rudolph: New to the area and recommended this shop by friends, knowledgeable owner who took time to give us the run down on options available. Also great sunglass options. We will be returning!

kris schneider: Fourth straight day of ‘garden-scaping’ in my new Hoka! Feet feel amazing! So glad I got black, they still look brand new.

John: Amazing customer service!

A B: “I want to keep running just so I can buy more shoes from him.” My teen son, who hates shopping, asked me to post a review to let others know how amazing Gear Running Store is. The owner was so nice, patient & helpful. We’ll definitely be back when he outgrows this pair of shoes!

Mya Weirich: and now this is the only place I will go to for Gear and shoes!!!! Please check this place out even if you aren't going to buy anything!!!

Fit 1st Running: what do users think?

Tmoney Swish: If you want running shoes, go to Manny at Fit First Running. I first went Manny in August 2023 and had no running experience. Now 9 months later I have bought 4 shoes from Manny and recently ran my first marathon.

Heather Carr: Wonderful local business. Manny has always been very helpful and he carries a nice variety high quality merchandise. Thank you!!

Maddy Flisk: , I gave Manny a call and within 30 minutes he helped me pick out a new pair. These shoes are the most comfortable I've ever worn, I'll definitely be back!

Chandler Yorkhall: --she's had horrible shin splints for ~8 months. Manny took one look at her current shoes and explained in detail at least three ways that they were not helping, and what a shoe needed to do to actually help. He then using video and iPad technology to measure her gait wearing various other other shoes, and we settled on the shoe that line her joints up most efficiently. Never had a shoe store experience like this. Highly knowledgeable, very friendly, and focused on serving the customer. Highly recommend this business.

Miss M: .They started with two pairs of shoes that both felt amazing, and my balance was better instantly! I’ve been wearing one pair for a week now and it’s still great, I am even planning on going in to get that second pair because I cannot imagine putting on any of my old shoes again!

julie sinner: Manny was awesome!! I am new to running. He measured my feet gave me a few choices. He could have sold me the most expensive of the ones I tried on because I really liked them but he told me they didn't fit my feet right. I so appreciate his knowledge and honesty. 100% I will make the drive from Andover when I need another pair. Thanks so much Manny!!

Olivia Gomes: Came in with specific requests for a work shoe for my service industry job. Staff was so friendly, helpful, and professional. They even ordered shoes in for me, as I needed specific colors. AND I stayed under budget!

Mark Kosieradzki: This is my new go to place.

Justin Clark: First run with the new shoes felt great- thank you, Manny!

Helen Baer: Fit 1st running is the best! They will go the extra mile to help you find just what you need. I came in near closing time and the owner, Manny, took the time to video-record an analysis of my gait and chose the absolute perfect shoe for my feet and walking style. Manny carefully curates the selection in store to carry the best of what's out there on the market today at varying price ranges. I highly recommend you make the stop at Fit 1st Running if you are looking for new shoes, socks, gear, anything, even if you don't consider yourself a runner! I was looking for a good pair of comfortable walking shoes for travel and they really came through for me.

Taya Banjac: Was fitted with a pair of gym shoes and custom insoles. The whole experience from beginning to end was 10/10. Manny is so knowledgeable in finding the right shoe for your own movement. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

B. Bob: , patient

Kari Johnson: I started getting running/walking shoes here 4 years ago and Manny is simply the best! I've learned so much about how the right shoes can make everything feel better through a 1:1 assessment and analysis. Support this Black-owned small business, you will not regret it!

Aneela Kumar: Manny is AMAZING!!! I walked in 10 minutes after closing. It was clear Manny and his friend were wrapping up, but instead he took time to help me find a good pair of running / walking shoes. He did a recorded gait analysis of my walk while barefoot and then again after trying on shoes he selected based on my size, pronation and arch.I no longer experience shin splints when running! Thank you Manny for your care + expertise!

Matt F: Friendly store with great service. Manny knows a TON and really cares about his customers.

Q. Rich: The best running store in the Twin Cities! Manny is great and professional. He went the extra mile to fit me properly and make sure I was going to get the value I was looking for in a running shoe. Highly recommend!

SO freaking nice and informative and I have a new pair of shoes for walking, my knees no longer hurt. I cannot thank them enough! Their whole fitting process was extensive but efficient. Cannot recommend them enough!

M R: I've been wearing Brooks shoes in later life. The attending representative at Saint City was so bright, courteous, and thoughtful. He made a suggestion that I try on a wide this time and that was a good suggestion for me. I bought Brooks Ghost 15's again. I'm a walker, not a runner, plus I am on my feet at a part time job. They are perfect for me.

Scott Michelsen: Great service. I had a series of issues making it difficult for me to run without getting injured. They took the time to listen, worked with me and made some recommendations until we got the right feeling in a shoe. I have been running again injury free and I am thankful to St City!

Freewheel Bike Midtown Bike Center: what do users think?

Amelie Collins: I bought an ebike from this location a year ago after I demoed one at a bike to work day. I quickly put on 1000 miles last summer. And commuted 40 miles 2 or 3 times a week since it was so much easier. All the people at this location were so helpful and nice. I got into a crash later in the season and thought I would be in for a really expensive repair but Chris made the wheel true and fixed the spokes and everything for $40. That was such a huge relief. Right now this place is temporarily closed but I hope they can open soon because I really love it.

Paul Van Der Werf: Great service in fixing my bike. Great nitro cold brew as well!

Run N Fun: what do users think?

Elizabeth Neiner: Staff is very kind and helpful

Gregory Altman Jr.: Was referred to come here by a co-worker. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Brian. Brian asked what I was looking for. Brian watched me walk with my shoes off and then gave me 6 different shoes that he recommended. He brought all 6 out for me to try on. As I tried them on he went through the minor differences of them all.Overall great experience. Brian was fantastic. Plus the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back when I need my next pair.

Bradly chaffin: Brian is amazing. Took the time we needed and never felt rushed. Thanks Brian for the Amazing experience.

Rebecca Miniscalco: If you've never been, it may be a little intimidating when you first walk in. Note that the shoes on the wall come in different colors, they don't have all of them displayed, so find a shoe that feels good and then you can pick what color you want it in. We had no clue where to start, an employee said "do you want me to just grab a few for you?" and I was HIGHLY skeptical, until I started putting on shoes and realized he absolutely nailed it. Don't know his name, or I would shout him out. Seems like it's run by a bunch of college kids, which doesn't always sound like a good thing, but they know what they're doing here. So thank you to the mustached, long blonde haired guy!

Alex? 4: Best running store in the metro would recommend to any new or experienced runner!

Anne L: Great service and selection!

N S: Great service and assortment. 😀

Phil White: Doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or seasoned runner… there is no better running gear store in the Twin Cities. Just go here.

Jason Holmers: TC Running is my go to store for running shoes. Love that they have a location in St. Paul now!

Curt Larsen: Great place to get a pair of tennis shoes. There is many different options to choose from.

Tony Farley: The shoes I purchased are excellent and could not be happier! My only feedback would be to ensure team members understand more about the product they are selling. The sales rep I worked with was kind and eager to help, however you could tell there was limited knowledge as when asked to have my foot measured, they struggled to understand how to read the foot size. A little humorous to me, but not all of your customers may feel the same.

Deanna Lynn Poling: According to my foot doctor "I've got a lot going on." Arthritis and pronation being just a few of my issues. My chiropractor recommended I go to Fun N Run which is now called TC Running Co. I use to buy my running shoes from them when I was in the Army. He recommended Brooks but I was willing to listen to the sales person. I told her what I needed. I tried on multiple sites and sizes and ended up with a site I think will work great. I was able to get a military discount with the new company and have the shoes I wanted drop shipped. I was very happy with my experience.

Noah Waln: Great employees! Great selection of shoes! They know what they're doing, 10 out of 10

Madeline Summers: You cannot beat the sale room! The staff here are really helpful!

bethany st paul: Great place, helpful staff

Avi Baron: Cool local shop!

Merrell: what do users think?

David Hammer: Great store. Too bad it is closing.

Gary Condit: I was in the Merrell store in the Mall of America on 3/13/22 and was sad to see that it was their last day in business at the Mall. Merrell has some great shoes and other products. I will continue to buy their shoes at other stores.

Matthew Myers: Merrell's shoe are the only brand I wear

Bill J: Great shoes and great service! Lots of high quality shoes available in the store. If you are looking for a pair of very good shoes Merrell is an excellent choice.

Erick Daniel Barba Pliego: An excellent place, the person who attended me was very attentive all the time. They speak Spanish so it's more comfortable for Latinos to shop at Merrell!

Tangletown Bike Shop: what do users think?

Helios “Sol” Corvid: Great medium sized bike shop for the area! They didn't have what I was looking for, but they were super helpful. I'm on the market for a class 2 e-bike and they only have class ones. But the sales clerk was very helpful and informative! I will definitely consider returning if I'm in need of anything else!

caeley: Absolutely love every experience I have walking into the shop. Never been met with anything other than a friendly face, great advice and the absolute best dog!

Drake Friesen: Awesome bike shop!

Jake Coleman: Rented 2 e-bikes for our visit last weekend and we could not have been more pleased. The bikes were waiting for us when we arrived and staff were friendly and helpful. 5 extra stars for Minneapolis and the Grand Rounds bike path! Thanks Tangletown bike shop!

Clare Heggie: I rented a bike here while visiting and had a great experience. They have actual road bikes so it’s a good alternative to the bike shares if you’re used to riding something nicer/more lightweight at home and want to do longer rides.

Jeff Paske: This is the last twin cities bike shop you’ll need to find. Within these walls you’ll find the absolute best people, with the most knowledge, and the most approachability of anyone in town. I’ve had the pleasure of a few different projects through Tangletown and I have nothing but stellar things to say about every aspect of the builds. This is true for my wife as well, where she was treated with nothing but respect and the genuine desire to help her prepare for a duathlon. Whether it’s a new bike, service, a rental for the day, or parts and accessories, or bike bags - check ‘em out! They’ve got you covered. You won’t regret it.

Donna Gerein: I'm looking to purchase an ebike and the staff here have taken time to show me what they can do!

Zeke Rice: Great shop and people. Thanks for steering me to the best bike for me, and an excellent tuneup on my husband’s bike that had suffered from a few years on non-use.

Connor Carroll: Outstanding local bike shop with very reasonable repair prices and a nice selection of affordably priced gear and accessories. Patrick & Nick in the shop do great work, fast, and are often answering random bike maintenance questions from me which is super helpful. Make this your local bike shop!

Sheila Vossler: Had the best experience ever renting from here. I reserved online and walked in the store and was out in less than 5 minutes. The bike was amazing, comfortable and well maintained. I would highly recommend renting from here and plan to again for my next visit.

Payton Hrics: Great bike shop and service. Right near Grand Round trail. We rented bikes and the employees were wonderful! Great dog on-site, Bella. Better bikes than those around Chain of Lakes.

Joe Schilling: Fantastic spot to rent a bike in Minneapolis. I made an online reservation the night before and the bike was waiting for me when I arrived. Mike made a couple of seat adjustments, gave me a helmet and a lock and I was on my merry way. The hybrid bike performed great on Minneapolis's fabulous lakeside/riverside trails and on the bike lanes downtown.

Steve Rawlins: Knowledgeable, friendly staff to help with purchase or repair. Good location.

Scott Nass: What a great experience with these pros. Brought my ebike in basically off the street and Patrick put it on the stand and fixed my shifting problem in minutes on a busy Saturday. So satisfying to find pleasant people who are so good at their jobs. Thanks.

Charlie Murray: Nick & Mike of Tangletown Bike Shop are top shelf full service neighborhood assets. They offer full bike service, bike rentals and new bikes and parts. I've enjoyed their expertise and deep bike knowledge to create a dream project as well as upgrade a used bike for my son. I'm thankful to have such an honest and dependable bike shop in the area to ensure we keep rolling and have a destination to ride to for picking up the next hot bike accessory!

Peter Forbes: Great shop and helpful crew

Hank Papritz: One of the few bicycle shops in the area that offers rentals and the rentals were in really great shape, the price was reasonable, and the service was great too. We got a flat tire on our ride and didn't have a patch kit with us so someone from the shop drove out and swapped out the tube and tire for us. Highly recommended!

They’ll keep our bikes running for many more years to come
