Patrick Bergstedt: Free Geek is a great establishment! If you’re into 2nd hand electronics for a low price, Free geek has descriptive labels on all of their inventory so you can purchase with confidence. Also, If you’re looking to experiment with electronics but would prefer not to break the bank, this is a great place to build upon that.

Aaron Kornaus: Great place to find unique and everyday items for cheap. They usually have tons of office/desk supplies for free or darn close to it. Good deals on electronics also. Tons of books and random things that just make you wonder why the U of M had them? or why are they even here? Staff is nice and helpful. Lighting is very dim so you may need a moment when entering to adjust and some people use their phone flashlights.

The gentleman was patient with me and helpful assisting me on making a selection.I was a little hesitant being that the prices were so low, but he didn't take it personally and was pretty relaxed explaining all those details. My computer is still in working order, but even if it stopped working, I know where to get it fixed.5 stars because I don't think I ever been concerned about a store being still in business more than this one.

Nicole Crittenden: The staff at this location are amazing, I had a pawn there and when I wanted to pick my pawn up, the COVID quarantine hit, even though they were closed for two weeks and opened back up, the owner was so nice that not only did he not charge me any additional interest during the closure and an additional two weeks they were open that I did not know they were open for, but he gave me a discounted price and over 150.00 off of what I should have paid. The owner made a lot of accommodations for me and I am extremely grateful!
PRINCE: I bought a couple of laptops that they had on sale. That was the best deal I ever had in a pawn shop and I want to say that Carlos who is one of their employee, is awesome. Thanks guys because of you, my school will have some laptops

To my dismay, they had sold it earlier that morning.Now, i was slightly devastated. I know, it's only a leaf blower, but I fell in love. I immediately starting searching the internet for another one that would fill that void in my life. To my surprise, Uptown Pawn had just listed one about 4 hours earlier. I called the store and spoke with the owner. He made me an unbelievable deal. I drove straight to Uptown Pawn and brought it home. My hope is that this added addition to my small engine toys will last another 10 years. Based on the service and quality you will find at Uptown Pawn, I don't have a doubt that it will. Jon Arnold: I brought my computer in due to it continually shutting down due to what it said was a power surge. It turned out that it had been over heating and the motherboard was fried. In the process of the investigation he also found out that my hard drive was in the process of becoming corrupted.He didn't have anything in stock that could replace what I had but he helped me shop online to find the cheapest solution for me and then transferred everything from my corrupted hard drive to the new computer.Everything is working great now and if he hadn't have gone above and beyond I probably would have ended up losing data from my corrupted hard drive.I would absolutely recommend Orphan Computers and will be coming back for any additional needs in the future. It's hard to find someone who values building a relationship with their customers like Orphan Computers does.

Joy Smallfield: with bad screen we haven't used in a year or so. Owner of Orphan was courteous and helped us out on the spot. One hour later computer is fixed, trouble shooting we can do on our own learned for the future. Also, baby computer diagnosed, part ordered...being fixed. All this for around $100. I would highly suggest giving this local business a try. When you go to the big guys they have a set list of prices so there is little room for assessing the situation independently. Don't forget to check out the back room, past the books! There are always tidbits of glory dispersed amongst the merch back there. Plus, Tuesday and Wednesday they have $1 day and 50% off day on certain tag colors. Also, they have a dollar rack all the time in the store. They close early, though! 5pm, I think. Go early and find your next treasure. The off shoulder dress pictured was half priced at 3.50!

Natasha Villanueva: Old School is a great asset to the Stevens Square-Loring Heights neighborhood. I stop in regularly to peruse the clothing and have found several pieces from basics to statement pieces that receive lots of compliments.

Ryo Flying: Dropped off summer dresses as a donation. I was surprised to find that they have a lot more items available for sale than what it appeared from outside. Nicely decorated inside and my interaction with a staff member was wonderful. I will come back as a customer next time.
Kristin Duell: Great little store. Staff is wonderful. Prices are reasonable. It's a great place for books, household, jewelry and women's fashion. I recommend checking it out. Be sure to know the hours they're open though because I believe they are only open 4 days a week for limited hours only. W - Sat. 11-5
