Antonio 10: Free gift wrap.need to say more?

Kim May: My sister and I had a problem with our laminate we had done there and the local employees and customer service were very helpful in making things right. We will definitely continue to shop and have laminating done there.

mother-of-2 aimee: Best store around fun for kids and adults.

Ruth Johnson: Found a great birthday present for my grandson!

bella loksy: great selection of fun toys in a great area!!

selena newport: Awesome toys!

Becca & Andrew Pitan: This store is a wonderland of fun! It's geared primarily for teachers, but as a non-teacher I still have a blast visiting here! They have a great selection of various "fidgets" that I love to pick up for myself, lots of fun arts and crafts supplies, and I love their selection of reward charts with stickers. Get their rewards card to get some good deals, and you'll also get great coupons if you subscribe to their text messages.

Drake Friesen: Awesome boutique shop!

Laura Olson: I checked out a few fabric stores that day.....this was the most unique.....reminded me of the shops in Stillwater. Good quality fabrics and unique gift store.

Cole Sarar: Great little sewing/crafting/gift shop. I’ve gotten all sorts of basic sewing needs here- zippers, wonder clips, buttons, etc. lots of vintage goods too.

Mind Yobiz: This place is less than a mile from where I live, I went there looking for some fabric to make some panels for my walls. Boy oh boy was I stunned by the selection, every color, tons of patterns, stripes, solids, prints and more. Plus the cards, cups, mugs, hand made items, easily the greatest 800 square feet I have walked into ever. All the items are made by individual crafters and not corporations, which makes it all the better.

Mike Gustafson: Hard to make a quick visit. Found cute items for babies. Clever gifts & crafty items for a project. Diverse vintage items too. I 'll be back.

Mariel Goettsch: Wonderful local shop - both for sewing needs and handmade gifts! One woman show💁‍♀️ always helpful and personable.

Susanne Bushman: This is one of my favorite little spots in Minneapolis! Tons of cute new and vintage gifts and goodies to look at, a nice selection of crafting tools, and delightful fabric

Colleen Clish: Charming selection of fabrics, cards, crafts, and vintage items.

Lucy Ross: Such a fun shop! We spent far too much time goofing around in here. Really wonderful staff. Lots of unique trinkets, old pictures, fabric, jewelry, and these surprise jars that had my group so excited to come back. Really a cheerful spot, whimsical but well organized. Lots going on in there! Fun spot to stop and spend time in.

Michael Waldegerma: Great neighborhood shop to visit for kitchenware, candles,al and other items both vintage and locally crafted. Most of the space seems to be fabrics but I don't know enough to comment.

M S: The cutest little store, and a favorite place to buy earrings, fabric, cute gifts for new babies, bday cards, and other fun things for home!

Rebecca Darling: Um, I spent an hour in this store and I could have spent more. Excellent fabric selections, including some pretty unique fabric at good prices. Staff was helpful without being in your biz. Probably not a great store to bring little kids cause there's a million wonderful tiny things to touch. Plus you'll miss all the cool stuff.Visit. Buy fabric and yarn. Shop local!

Kelly U: Such a fun store! They have wonderful unique gifts and a great yarn and fabric selection. Their boutique yarn is very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back!

Molly: was a rockstar. They also have such a great selection of supplies from beginner paints to the higher end stuff. Thank you so much again!

Bradley George: the store has a better energy now that the store is under new ownership

Tony Gawarecki: They framed my picture, and did an amazing job. Museum worthy. You won't find frames like this at a thrift store 😁 I'd highly recommend them to anybody trying to professionally frame prints, or paintings.

James Henderson: Very well stocked artist quality goodsFriendly staff. Lots of good things for kids who want to do drawings, etc.

kinderhood: Super cool. They changed it around from how I remembered it. I needed Acrylic Painting Supplies, and I kind of went crazy cause I didn't know what I needed, and I just kept adding things to my bunch. I went for brushes, they had so many I was overwhelmed. It took a bit and the people were patient with me taking my time. They have some nicely defined sections and areas and I was super happy when I got home cause I got exactly what I needed. The 2 people running the shop were very nice to me.

Lina Campbell: Best supply of golden and liqitex paints I've ever seen. So much good stuff here.

Mariska Coleman: but we didn't feel ushered out or anything!

Itoro Uwatt: Great shop with a wide variety of arts supplies. The staff I met at the front desk was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I will definitely visit, again.

Lounette Loubser: Well stocked art store. I mainly went for canvas and paint but they cover other mediums too. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. I got the impression they might order what you need if they dont have it, but i didnt request.

SL K: It got what we needed.

Jenny Solem: I'm in love with this store. It's very expansive inside, and has an incredible variety of supplies/mediums. They also carry items I've never seen in chain stores, including art specific ones. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and competetive with what you may see elsewhere.

Lakes Makerie: what do users think?

Gabriele O'Connor: Beautiful store and wonderful sewing classes! I took a beginner sewing class here last night and it was so great. Our teacher was super helpful, the class size was perfect and I feel much more equipped to work on my own projects in the future.

Tim Loughrist: Lovely shop and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful!

Phanida T: Lovely selection of linen, staff is super friendly and helpful. One of my favorite fabric shop!

Emily Q. Tolly: The most charming neighborhood sewing shop. I am so happy this little place exists. They have beautiful, quality fabric and sewing supplies and are super helpful when I have gone in with questions for projects I am working on.

Karen S: My cousin went to London. When she returned, she gifted me with several small cuts of Liberty lawn, all pinks and rose colors. I needed more, in cooler colors, to make a lap quilt. I went online for smaller cuts of Liberty fabrics, found Lake Makerie, ordered, and the items were in my mailbox with the week. Great service. Thank you!

Nia steinhagen: beautiful shop with a gorgeous fabric selection and very kind employees. i will definitely be back!

Lauren Dosland: Absolutely lovely shop. I could have spent all day in there and gone broke, but happily. I love the fabric I got for my sewing project. Support this local business, we must protect it!

Christy Marsden: What a gem of a shop! The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, providing advice and assistance for choosing fabrics for my projects. They seemed to really enjoy sewing, and were welcoming to a beginner like myself who had lots of questions. The selection was really great, too! It was so nice being able to touch all the fabrics, drape them against my body to get a feel for how a dress may look, and to get everything else you need to start sewing. And given the proximity to the Minnehaha Parkway for easy biking, and a D line bus stop just a block or so away, I'll definitely be back!

Kathy Swenson: Beautiful, beautiful fabrics, fun notions, and lots of patterns not by the big pattern makers.

Julianne Marley: I love everything about this shop!

Sara McGirr: We had the best service experience in this gorgeous shop- They were incredibly helpful and patient as we gleefully selected from their hundreds of unique fabrics. As inexperienced sewists, we appreciated their expertise and suggestions for our project- namely, creating many pocket squares/handkerchiefs for my upcoming wedding. Love this shop and the people in it!

Claire Milldrum: So supportive and kind!

Cathy Swope: Love this store, they have beautiful fabrics you won't find at the chain stores and the staff was super friendly and helpful.Edit - stopped in today to pick up some eco friendly detergent and had to buy a beautiful Lady McElroy rayon lawn!

Deanna O: This store holds so many fabulous & unique fabrics including dry oil cloth. They carry some Liberty of London, and Rifle Paper Co as well. They also have bag making hardware! Staff was attentive and helpful during my visit. I will definitely be back, & recommend you visit them, too!

Valerie Gondrezick: So excited to find this incredible fabric shop in Minneapolis & was ecstatic to find Merchant & Mills organic cotton dry oilskin in many colors. Cutting & sewing this dry oilskin for bags & purses is a dream. This is a small shop that has the most amazing fabric collection & whoever the buyer is, has made every inch of it count!

Lauren Brown: Cute store! Wide selection of embroidery and yarn

Alexandra Hanson: Great yarn and fabric shop in the Twin Cities! Lots of notions, beautiful and fun fabrics, and a nice selection of yarn. I also love that they feature some hand dyed yarns from local dyers. The staff there are nice and very knowledgeable, and the location of the shop is excellent too, nearby some other great businesses in a neighborhood shopping area. I definitely recommend checking out Knit & Bolt for your yarn, fabric, and other crafting needs!

Marisa Parker: I love the location of this store, right in the middle of a neighborhood. The staff was so knowledgeable on the different types of yarn to use for my projects. Treadle Yard Goods: what do users think?

Deepa Nirmal: I don't sew but I stop by TYG often to buy buttons for my knitted sweaters. They have a great selection and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. One of these days I will find time to learn to sew, and take advantage of their gorgeous selection of fabrics. Oh, and they have unique things like rolls of oilcloth! I bought some for a patio table and it's fantastic because you can just wipe it clean. They stock it in a variety of fun summer prints. Please support local stores. Not only does this keep your $$ in the community, you simply cannot get this kind of expert advice or attention from a big box store or Amazon.

Molly McKenzie: Such a fun little fabric store! Michelle was very nice and helpful

Marine Dumas: Love the place. Wish I lived closer.

Nancy Russell: This store is wonderful with beautiful fabrics and friendly helpful staff. They also have excellent classes for every level of sewist-i have taken several. I've been sewing since I was a kid and always learn a lot! And if that weren't enough, they work with the charity Sew Good Goods!

Alli Tripp: Very nice service, classes fabrics and supplies

maxwell samuel: Very helpful staff and owner once you break the initial I've with them. Concise, well curated offerings of good quality fabric.

Dan Maher: Great service wonderful products I always like going to get there bulk material for a tablecloth really reasonably priced

C Johnson: Nice people running a nice little shop, not into sewing myself but they occasionally have sales of sewed items and found a nice stuffed animal for my child. I also appreciate their variety of interesting patterns they put up in the shop window.

Pres CarlJohn: I'm love them.

Penny Draves: Simply the very best!!

Bryce Livingston: They have a great collection of single buttons. The owner was incredibly helpful and kind! Although we couldn’t find an exact match to my missing button, they did have a couple which matched the dress. The owner gave me an awesome tip to make it all work.

J Cardarelli: Coming here is very worthwhile. A bit of a lot! But it's a secret...

Olga Formogey: Not the same store since owner changed. I think it is more sewing classes school rather fabric store... They have very limited amount of fabric, still some good choices, but...there are only about 20-30 fabric to choose from.. , most of it is cotton...

humble pup: No nonsense little shop selling good quality products and with enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

sonia micek: What a treat to find beautiful linen! Wonderful service

Blick Art Materials: what do users think?

Julie Johnson: I took my daughter to this store. She has a disability, and the manager was amazing and accommodating. My daughter was a bit overwhelmed, but the manager spent time with her, told her about the various choices, and helped her found what she wanted and what would work for her. I regret that I did not catch the manager's name.

Joy Avery: It's so much fun to wander through this store especially if you want to spend an hour, not just pop in for what you need. I love markers and probably have way too many but am always looking for new ones. The only complaint I have is that most of the markers are under lock and key. I'm sure they would gladly unlock all the cases so I could take my hour closely looking at every single marker but I've never asked them to do that. So that's my only complaint. Otherwise top notch.

Brad Galvin: Everything I needed and more.

Sinead Odessa: Always a nice experience, organized and neat store, lovely staff. They helped me with a coupon and adding on supplies. Super easy trip every time!

Nanette Taylor: I can usually find all the supplies that I’m looking for all my projects. And for many years I’ve had my artwork scanned and color corrected. Wonderful support and quality prints. However, disappointing to find out they won’t be replacing their large printer that broke down to make prints from original artwork. Now, they send it out for printing instead of in-house. I will have to find another company to make prints of my artwork. Disappointing.

Aliosky Garcia: Excellent

Catherine Easler: the store is fantastic. everthing you need for creative fun kids play or adult hobby. lise is always helpful and kind.

Lisa S: Such a local gem. It is my daughters & I favorite place for a day just the two of us. Lisa is such a wealth of artistic information, and all the crafts are genuine, simply sourced and honest in materials.

Jodi Miller: I took my daughter to Heartfelt a couple of times when she was 2. I was a little nervous because crafting with a 2 year old can be tricky, especially in public. We made pumpkin homes for a peg-gnome that we also made there. We so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, both times. It was so much fun playing with her with it and even after that pumpkin rotted, we still kept the gnome and tree bark bed we made. The thing though that I most took away from Heartfelt was how to craft with a toddler. Making the pumpkin home and watching the staff’s instruction to a young audience, and how they handled the kids and their parents as well as seeing how you could use pieces of nature to make really neat things was beyond inspirational. I will always remember Heartfelt for these experiences I gained. I could see shopping there for project ideas/supplies for a adult without kids too.

Such a variety of items carefully curated. I could’ve spent all day here. The employees were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The store got pretty busy as I was leaving. Also a nice cozy couch in the corner by the window that was much appreciated as I waited in the warmth of the store for my Lyft.

I found the staff to be so helpful and kind and appreciated them letting me look at my leisure but answering questions when asked. Unfortunately I was on a mission for a particular product they had but will certainly be returning when I have more time. There is something for everyone here.

Janet Kirkley: I highly recommend Designers Marketplace.About three weeks prior to Christmas I was in dire need of two matching sofas. My designer told me about this place so, I went and talked with Tracy. Explained my situation. They had several options for in stock items but, nothing was really what I envisioned but, knew I was running out of time.Tracy indicated they had another shipment expected right before Christmas but, could not make guarantees. Tracy contacted the vendor multiple times during the next two weeks and by some Christmas miracle the couches arrived the week of Christmas. I’m so thankful for her persistent in helping me. I will be going there for all my furniture needs going forward. So thank you Tracy and the DMP team!

Leah Honsey: Classes are fun, the art is inspiring and unique. The show changes frequently so it's a great destination for frequent visits. I like that the gift shop has kits for beginners that are reasonably priced so myself or kids can try new things like felting, knitting, dying. Lots of great books too. And really friendly staff

Tori Wensloff: An absolute dream for all fiber artists, young and old, novice and experienced! So many beautiful pieces of art and fun events. A lovely community, I always leave feeling so inspired!

elana danowit: I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my experience tonight. I had the most incredible time. It was definitely worth the trip. The lovely woman in the gift shop was so welcoming, and helpful, she made the entire experience interactive and I appreciate that! It was a meaningful trip, that really sparked my creative juices and an invitation where the community can come together peacefully and experience incredible art. It's a hidden gem and I definitely recommend everyone stop in at least once in life. If you have any reservations sign up for their newsletter via email. It definitely was the reason I was so adamant about finally making it in after so many years of meaning to, but not making the time! Thank you all for the incredible work you provide!

Lily Keire: Many creative minds are abuzz at this clean, cozy, welcoming fiber arts center. You feel you could reach your potential here--take classes, get inspired by the art and goods on display, take a seat and reflect on the quiet glory of real art. Definitely worth a visit. University of Minnesota ReUse Program: what do users think?

Jordan L: Interesting experience, great deals if you need what they happen to have on hand. Interesting finds.

Keith V: The female cashier is awesome! She's funny yet courteous. She brightens up the place.

Kate Casper: It might be a hodge podge of things, but you could literally find anything in that store if you came at the right time.

Beibit Rakhimbayev: Great

Vince McCannell-Unger: Amazing variety of cast-offs from the university. I would rather not recommend it to others so it's not as popular, but hey, why not go get lost in imaging the potential of having your own centrifuge or stereoscope.

Aaron Kornaus: Great place to find unique and everyday items for cheap. They usually have tons of office/desk supplies for free or darn close to it. Good deals on electronics also. Tons of books and random things that just make you wonder why the U of M had them? or why are they even here? Staff is nice and helpful. Lighting is very dim so you may need a moment when entering to adjust and some people use their phone flashlights.
