Kevin Biegler: Hadn't been to Oceanaire in many years. Now I cannot remember why and we will be back much much sooner. Stopped in on whim after the Twins opener sat at the bar. The signature Old Fashioned is beyond compare. The raw bar was fresh and their oysters incredibly delicious. We did a series of appetizers and cocktails the bar staff was friendly and efficient and fun! It was still the same great Oceanaire we remembered and we won't be waiting to go back! Sydney Davis: Truly a dining experience like no other. The food is delicious - I eat the steak every single time I go because it is my favorite food in the world. I'm pretty sure everything on their menu is made from scratch and every flavor is perfect. They take such care and pay such huge attention to the details. The wine pairings are out of this world, and it's such a luxury to turn off my brain and just know that every sip will be perfect. And the service is the warmest, most competent and most genuine service I have ever experienced. You will feel cared for without feeling smothered, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying every moment.

At the entrance, it was obvious we were to be presented with the opportunity to either sit inside or outside of the restaurant. There were two corners of the block to sit outside at, one adjacent to cars passing by, the other adjacent to several stores within the strip mall, each trying to play their own, different music over the top of one another, shopping center-style. So the decision to sit inside was clear.Inside looked like a classic American eatery, one identical to hundreds of other overly-spacious chain American eateries. The unique, memorable features of this place were a giant industrial fan that someone removed the logo from, and a creepy, abstract fresco-on-drywall in the far corner. All the tables and booths were decorated with a tablet that one could order their food electronically from. We sat in one of the booths.The menu contained exactly the food we expected it to have. Tacos, burgers, French fries, nothing unique at all except a blueberry ketchup burger that I ended up getting. When we ordered, the waiter asked if we wanted any appetizers and made a joke about wanting to make them themselves. When the appetizers that we ordered arrived, they looked not just overcooked, but like they'd been sitting for a while in a drawer to keep warm. And it worried me that perhaps the waiter did indeed prepare our appetizers how they joked they would, or rather that the appetizers weren't prepared

Inna Averbakh: When we discovered The Tasting Room we were looking for somewhere special to celebrate my Husband’s 50th birthday. We came to the Tasting Room and I contacted the owner and head chef, Nico, over email. Nico was very responsive and provided great communication the entire time, making the planning process much less stressful. Nico was able to accommodate all our needs easily.Once we got to the restaurant, we were escorted to a beautiful private room in the establishment's basement. The room was designed to resemble a speakeasy and had a large wine cellar in the back of the room.Once everyone arrived, Nico began to present a wine tasting to us himself. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and was able to present that information entertainingly. The wines he had picked out tasted delicious as well. Along with the wine tasting, Nico and his marvelous staff served a wonderful dinner consisting of Black Caviar, Olive Oil Poached Salmon, a wonderful Wagyu Beef Zabuton, and more wonderful items. Throughout the entire service, the staff was attentive and kind and ensured that we and our guests were taken care of.For the high-quality service, the price was also quite reasonable. We recommend the Tasting Room to anyone, and we will be coming back.

Heather Kaiser: This is one of our special occasion places! The food and ambience is always so great. If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is the place you want to take to impress them. We like the bar side, but went for a date night recently and ate on the dinner side. We had an impromptu four course meal that was curated by our server. We took out time and didn't feel rushed. Every server and staff seem to be in a good mood and polite, whether they are bringing you food, cleaning your table, or passing you on your way out. I definitely recommend going about an hour before sunset. PS the setting in the former monk's quarters is beautiful.

Joan L: was in front of our order, so she offered us a side dish to accompany our main meals and we added the sweet potatoes.🐓 The main entrées were well done — chicken was beautifully carved and presented. The skin was tasty. The black rice and sauce were nice compliments to the meat.🐖 The pork chop was a beautiful, thick cut of meat. We ordered it medium and it may have been ever so slightly cooked a little under medium. Seasoning was perfect and had a nice, tart flavor coming through with the sauerkraut.🍠 🌟 WOW! 🤩 The sweet potatoes were the star of the evening! Sweet, savory, bright and fresh with lemon, crispy skins… just wow! Order the sweet potatoes!!🍰 For dessert, we ordered the chocolate panna cotta and olive oil cake. Both were absolutely stunning and would fit right in at any patisserie! Excellent flavors, textures, and presentation! Faultless!I’ll definitely be coming back!

Jonathan Robinson: Absolutely phenomenal food and experience. Our server Louis was beyond amazing as he took the time to explain the dishes, cocktails, and so much more. Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated!Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Phenomenal staff coordination and cooperation.

From start to finish we were impressed with the quality of the delicious food and engaging, proficient service. The mussels in white wine were perhaps the best I have ever enjoyed, and the salad of alternately layered beets and cucumbers tasted as wonderful as it was artfully presented. The top sirloin was blanketed in a smooth demi glace and served with a pat of Bleu cheese butter that slowly melted into the sauce. My one regret was not ordering the baguette to mop up all the decadent sauces that accompanied the mussels and steak! We will definitely add Cavé Vin into our rotation of favorite restaurants!

I would hands down get this meal again.The only knock to the News Room, is that the service was not good. Ryan O'Halloran: Incredible food and super friendly staff. Everyone was checking on my table even if they weren't my usual waiter. The food was incredible and very rich. I had the Marrow Toast which was absolutely awesome and the Duck Confit Stroganoff which was a touch salty but the flavors were incredible otherwise. The drink selections were vast and interesting and overall it was a great experience. I would say the one minor complaint I had is that with so many rich dishes on the menu I wish there was a side salad option.

Mandie Langman: We ate here before seeing The Lion King at the Orpheum. It's a nice walking distance from the theater and a nice atmosphere for a dressed up, special night out.Service: Outstanding. Our server, Mario, was spectacular. Attentive and personable. He was also kind enough to give us happy hour prices even though we technically weren't sitting on the happy hour side of the curtain. That meant a lot to us as we didn't see anything on line stating these prices only applied to certain tables and was a factor in our choosing this eatery.Food: Delicious. I appreciated the many gluten free options. I had cornbread and the stuffed mushrooms. The cornbread was amazing! I shared it with my husband but could have easily eaten it all myself. The mushrooms were a bit heavy on the garlic. I would have preferred that flavor to have been a bit more subtle. My husband had the bison burger and enjoyed it. It's spicy but as he described, "a nice level of heat." We had the vanilla bean creme brulee, and it was a wonderfully smooth, flavorful custard.Drinks: Good. I had a glass of Chateau St Michelle Riesling, a wine I choose often so I knew I'd like it. My husband had the Old Fashioned, which was made with Maker's Mark and just isn't his favorite alcohol, but that's not really the restaurant's fault as he did choose to order it.Overall, this is a place we'd visit again the next time we're in the theater district!

Keitha McKinney: This was one of the best experiences I’ve had. We were there for my cousins birthday dinner our serve Nick was great he didn’t miss a beat very professional, friendly and funny. The manager Willie came over to see how it was going. & introduced hisself to see whose birthday it was, he made sure we got a birthday dessert. Informed us about the weekend breakfast for our birthday as well. The food was great, you could cut the steak with a butter knife. The overall experience was great I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. Once again I would like to say thank you to Nick & Willie

Edward Todd: The service was great. Food was good. The restaurant was active and loud, which is great for a lot of occasions, but would have preferred a quieter setting for a family dinner. But, my first priority was location with good food and service a second consideration. All in all, it was very nice.Parking: A Parking ramp was close and convenient. I think it was $7 for the evening.

T Jordan: Rhett was our server and he was great! Very friendly and attentive. There was never a moment where are glasses were empty he was always there for refills. He answered any questions that we had for him. This was the best service we had during our Minneapolis trip. The food was 10/10 of course very flavorful and came out very quickly. Highly recommend coming in and ask for Rhett to be your server, he was that good!

Nancy Nan: I came to this place by myself for a national conference. The overall experience was awesome! I booked a bar place since I am on my own but they were flexible about siting me at one of the table when the bar was full. The food I ordered were amazing. I ordered spicy shrimp, grilled sprouts, and classic brûlée! They taste amazing. One of the bar tenders are so nice to check on me frequently and make me feel like I am not alone. I like it so much! I will definitely recommend it!

Troubadour Wine Bar: what do users think?

Ali Peterson: My group of friends and I had a fantastic time. We came here for our monthly "cheese club" gathering and they greeted us as we walked in the door, it was very sweet. The staff was incredibly lovely, made excellent drink suggestions, and even told us the owner brought in special cheese for us for that night. There was live music and it was overall a great experience, we will definitely be back!
