Vertical Endeavors–Minneapolis: what do users think?

ryan laff: Love this place ! Less busy than MBP and appears for more serious climbers/less for general socializing. Good routes, friendly staff!Great location

Maurice Wilson: I went here to deliver some products that were ordered through Sam's Club in Eagan MN. It was a large commercial order. The receptionist was so pleasant and even though it was cold outside she propped the double doors open to make it easier for me to bring the products inside. I had an injury to my right pinky finger that had bled on the way to this stop. The owners of this great establishment noticed it and offered some bandages and antiseptic ointment and a place for me to clean out my wound. His kind gesture made my day and I know it will stay with me forever. Don't forget that any gesture of love and kindness, no matter how small ,can be a big part of someone else's day. I want to say thank you for your kind gesture. If he runs his business on the same kindness he showed me, I highly recommend that you come here for a great workout and a great experience.

Elaine Weiss: Great gym! Zac was really helpful showing us around

Andrew Moore: Located in Minneapolis, MN, Vertical Endeavors proved to be an exceptional destination for our family outing, especially for our adventurous 3-year-old daughter, Zoē. As Zoē's interest in the local kids' rock walls waned due to the lack of challenge, we sought new avenues to explore her potential talents. Despite initial concerns about Zoē's age and safety, the welcoming and informative assistance from staff members like Josh and Benny immediately put us at ease. The facility's policy of allowing toddlers in for free with a paid adult not only eased our financial concerns but also showcased their understanding of children's apprehensions towards climbing. Benny's meticulous attention to detail, particularly in fitting Zoē's harness and ensuring our comfort with the equipment, was truly commendable and added an extra layer of reassurance.Zoē's excitement was palpable as she confidently tackled the walls, displaying remarkable fearlessness and agility. It was heartwarming to witness her enthusiasm grow with each successful climb, almost reluctant to leave after three hours of uninterrupted fun. Vertical Endeavors' commitment to providing a safe yet exhilarating experience for climbers of all ages left a lasting impression on us.As Zoē eagerly asks to return to Vertical Endeavors even as I write this review the day after our visit, it's clear that we've found a new favorite activity for our family. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff for creating such a welcoming and engaging environment, and we eagerly anticipate our next adventure at Vertical Endeavors.

Eric Franz: Super great service. Mr. Jack at the front desk was very helpful.

Lindsey Hiner: Love this place! You can sign your waiver and watch an instructional video before arriving, which makes the check-in process quick. Before climbing, the staff has you hook your harness onto an auto-belay to make sure you do it correctly and then you're free to climb! We just used the auto-belay walls, but there were plenty of other people doing the traditional belays and others bouldering. If you're going on a weekend, get there when they open because it does get busy.

Jefferson Willian Mendes: Great place to exercise and slow down during the day.

Jeff Lin: Good for climbers of all levels and ages.

Emberlyn Rantz: Really great, has everything you need to get going including equipment and will get beginners on the walls in just a few minutes after safety instructions. I went with my brother who is afraid of heights and there was no judgement just great vibes and great additude.

Jana Rose Arts: Helen helped check us in for our first couple climbs and she was delightful to work with. 😊 Having such a great introduction to VE really set us up for a fun time on the walls. We come to climb in the afternoon to avoid the evening rush which makes parking easier and we have most of the facility to ourselves. They have a nice variety of wall types. Great for beginners and more experienced climbers alike. Climbing is a wonderful, natural and fun form of exercise for the human body. We are loving it!

William Weber: Great natural wall and crack climbing. Grading is slightly more challenging than the typical gym but fun routes. Jessica was super helpful and friendly with our crew of siblings. Awesome employees like her are part of the reason we pick VE!

Lauren Dublin: We brought our girl scout troop tonight and the girls had a BLAST! They were very easy to work via email with to get our group booked, and Jake, Andie & Sam were all great to work with, so thoughtful, super helpful & patient, and great with the girls once we got there. The girls talked the whole way home about coming back already!

Minnesota Climbing Cooperative: what do users think?

Caleb Bowron: I have been a member for the past year here and absolutely love it. I used to work nights and its hard to describe the feeling of biking over on a summer night, listening to your own music and having the gym to yourself for hours. Pretty unbeatable. Problems are challenging with lots of variation. Very easy to bring friends along, and the day passes are super affordable compared to competitors. Will be signing up for another year!

Alfred: fun routes

Brian H: Excellent route setting that seems to accurately reflect the difficulty of outdoor climbing and the only gym that allows me to fit climbing into my busy schedule. Thanks to the crew who keep this gym going, this is the kind of place that makes NE a great place to live.

Nick McNeely: Great place to do some regular bouldering.

Eli Curran-Moore: 🧗🏼‍♂️

Mason Bongers: Fun place for bouldering. Friendly people and cheapest place in the cities. Courses are harder here than others, so be warned

Ben Carlson: This place is the perfect spot for me. Because I work at bars, I have a very odd schedule. I come in to climb around midnight, put on my music and it’s always a great workout, with great routes set. And always clean! On top of being the only gym that can fit my schedule, it’s also the cheapest, and my favorite one I’ve been to. Very much worth the membership fee!

Charles Hackenmueller: Very cozy place that makes a lot of sense for climbers who have flexible schedules that needs a central location in thr cities to climb. While there are many other indoor bouldering sites, this one definitely ranks in the highest percentile. Good problem setting, highly efficient use of the space given, great home for any boulderer.

Dhananjai Mp: Best place to start your climbing adventures.

Trevor Hartman: Great community and amazing routes!

Benjamin Field: Fun and challenging. Easy place to climb your own speed.

Paul Houang: I wandered into the Coop about 5 years ago. At the time, I could barely cross the street on my own so it was a miracle that I found the semi-hidden entrance to the place. I have been a big fan ever since. It’s true, the coop doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the bigger, more expensive gyms. Locker rooms? Sorry. Vending machine? Nope. Empty yoga room that nobody uses? Please. A class on How to Cook Spam at the Crag 101? Uh I wish. What the coop has to offer is a cozy, supportive environment to climb. Off-hours are very quiet if you want to sneaky get strong. Or you can come in during open hours when the place has great vibe with a friendly, welcoming community.
