He was very patient, and spent probably an hour answering all of our questions and letting us look at and handle all the different gear he showed us. Also, the store had a really nice selection of bodies, lenses and accessories. Sorry our bored four year old terrorized your store, but thank you for your help! Would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area!
Geoff Maciejewski: West Photo is one remaining gem in the Twin Cities. They sell quality products to fit every budget. The employees are knowledgable and never pressure you into buying. It can be tempting to buy or rent from large scale online retailers but West Photo will give you competitive pricing.I had an enjoyable time recently trading up into the mirrorless category. Steve Garbe: You don't have to be a major production company to get exceptional service from the team at Cinequipt. I routinely tell Chris or Mitch in rentals what my current challenge is, and they present solutions that fit my budget and crew size. In 20 years I have never had an issue with rented equipment, a missing piece or something not being available when they said it would be. If I have a last-minute request, everyone in the building jumps in to find a solution. Mitch in service is also routinely amazing. Once I brought him a light with a broken power switch where the routine repair was to replace the entire board for hundreds of dollars. Mitch had already sourced just the power switch from the original switch manufacturer, and soldered in on in 24 hours, for $50. When I visit other cities, it's hard to understand how they survive without a place like Cinequipt.

Conor Daly: The folks over at National Camera in my experience have been very helpful and supportive as I learn more about 35mm photography. I was attempting to restore my parents’ old Pentax ME Super and after determining it wasn’t salvageable, they helped me find an identical body and got me set up with my first couple rolls of film. When I was having film loading issues, they guided me through what I was doing wrong and how to avoid issues in the future. Can’t thank them enough, very knowledgeable and patient staff. Will return to them in the future.

But it is simply not complete until you walk through those doors.Some might call them framists, you could call them engineers, I want to call them artists. And I want to tip them cash every time I visit in the same way I want to tip a jazz pianist for playing Erroll Garner.I would say watching them work is the most enjoyable part of the process, but Mitrebox does you one better than spectatorship. They involve you. Your personal tastes and tendencies are activated, challenged, and appreciated. We had ran into a couple of small issues of getting my very large artwork stretched in the ten-day turn around time but the staff were able to fix that and finish my pieces! A more expensive place when compared to other framing locations but this is place is nothing less than exquisite. I will always go here!

I had purchased some artwork overseas and when I brought it home I it was a little damaged and I knew that I wouldn't be able to hang it using a cheap frame I found at a craft store. After a consultation with Caleb at CAFS he gave me some really great suggestions and allowed me to think about the look I was going for. I really appreciated his eye and attention to colors and styles. After making some choices I left feeling pretty good about the decisions made and looking forward to the finished product. The colors popped, frames were perfect, and the paintings looked better than what I imagined when I bought them. Allen shot and silhouetted an extremely detailed piece of artwork that had been maddeningly impossible for me to work with. Whether this is due to his knowledge of lighting, positioning of the wedding party, angle shots, or a combination of all, Allen takes what most would call a picture and transforms it to become almost 3 dimensional and things just pop! Allen also captures things that you would not ordinarily see in wedding photos, I was amazed at some of the pictures he wanted to capture and I thought to myself, why in the world would you take a picture of that? Well, once the reception started Allen threw out a few teasers, barely edited, and placed them as a slide show on his laptop for the guests to see, and WOW, I was floored at how these unique pictures turned out.
