Mark Murphy: I recently purchased a duplex property built in 1924. A brick veneer covering the bottom 4 feet of the building had begun to pull away from the foundation on the north side of the property. I received bids from several larger concrete/masonry firms as well as from Mason.The larger firms bid to replace the entire wall. Mason suggested that all I needed to do was replace the angle iron above the windows and two layers of brick above that. By going with Mason's suggestion, I was able to achieve a good outcome for at about one fourth the price. Mason is very knowledgable and communicates well.
Casey: Working with Mason was a great experience! He requested some pictures of the areas of my house that needed work and was able to provide me with an estimate after a short call discussing the scope of the project. He also provided details surrounding some trouble spots above my windows where cracks had formed over the years. Apparently the angle irons behind the windows in an old house like ours, eventually rust and expand which can cause structural issues if not addressed. Mason matched the new mortar with the old remarkably well! Better than we even though possible. He even followed up after the project just to see how things looked as they dried. I would definitely use Shears again in the future!

After a thorough inspection, he determined the foundation itself was solid and sound, but could benefit from concrete resurfacing. He was able to schedule us for the work within 2 weeks of our first contact, and the work was done in a single morning. The crew who came to our house did a phenomenal job. The resurfaced concrete facade is flawless and uniform all the way around the house. The crew was also kind, patient, and left the site spotless after the work was complete. If after seeing my review you have questions for me please reach out to Goodmanson Construction for my contact information as I am providing my approval for them to provide it to their potential customers. I am happy to speak with you and have many other pictures to show.The monoslab underneath my garage was cracking and separating and the frame on the front side of the garage was damaged from setting directly on the garage floor. The garage integrity was being challenged as a result of the deteriorating garage foundation. I also had some sidewalk/patio cracked concrete with freeze/thaw issues that I had them fix.The project took them only 9 working days from start to finish. In that time they shored/lifted/braced my 24'x28' oversized 2-car garage, removed/replaced garage floor & foundation, re-set the garage on the new block as well as pored concrete 14' in front of the garage and the smaller spots I mentioned above.It was a professional experience from initial review, design, & quote through completion. Awesome crew. Easy for me to work with and I am thrilled with the results.
