Mary Glotzbach: I highly recommend Biota. My designer, Elizabeth, collaborated very closely with me and created the perfect design for my modern/minimalist style. Construction operations manager Tim, site manager Henry, and the planting crew implemented everything perfectly, with extreme attention to detail and making sure that I was satisfied with the work every step of the way. They were almost more particular than I am, which is nearly impossible. Most importantly, my new front yard looks great! I couldn’t be happier with the result. I think my neighbors love the new look even more than I do— I’ve lost count of all the wonderful comments I’ve received. I bear no relation to the owners, but I'm glad we found them. They were neat, clean, personable, and a pleasure. They constructed a dog run for our labrador retriever in our backyard, amongst other things. They were so good we'll have them back in the spring not only for yard cleanup but for garden planning. Troy Balego: 3 Bears cleared out old layers of mulch in addition to adding new mulch. Our yard and landscaping look just perfect like brand new. The team both showed great attention to detail and we could tell they cared about making our yard look as good as possible. They even pushed back some of the mulch that had drifted down onto our sidewalk so we have 6” more of sidewalk now. This is easily the best level of landscaping service we’ve had!

We decided to not do a formal plan, which ended up working well for me. The crew worked toward the same general goal and it kind of unfolded into a beautiful new natural stone path and large bed that has contours and berms which I will plant. The communications were great and the crew, led by Daniel was creative and hardworking. They listened and worked to the goal and it turned out great! Would definitely use 3 Bears again.

Mark Rode: This company is great. Super responsive and great communicators. I had no less than a million questions and they answered every single one. They masterly installed boulders, a cool rock wall, and designed several garden bed plans. They really know their plants and what will work best in this environment/climate. Their guiding principle is to pack in the plants tightly to minimize weeds. Stuart Scheu: Our experience with Field Outdoor Spaces was 5-Star in every respect. We contracted them to repair and enhance the work we had done by another landscape company about five years ago. The designer listened carefully to make sure their plan matched what we envisioned, and she made good suggestions to resolve issues we had been having with the original design. Every person we dealt with from the designer to the installers was professional, helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Our favorite was a custom rock wall picture we shared with our architect just to show what we were looking for - unknowingly that wall was done by Field Outdoor Spaces which just happened to be a neighbor to our architect. Long story short, we hired Field and they partnered seamlessly to deliver a beautifully redone, private "phase 1" of our backyard that met both our budget and project goals.Beyond just delivering on plan, they worked with us to refine and improve it!
