I thought for sure I would break it since I am usually pretty hard on jewelry, but it withstood taking off surgical gloves, sweaters, it got caught in my hair once.. or twice and my dog's nail even snagged on it! Now, if they could only make an anklet this great, I would be set.

Communication to Arthur's chat option to talk to someone was fast and convenient. Time to go to the store for appointment, it was made fast, told them what I wanted and they made sure it was in by my appointment. Talked with me about the wedding band options and gone over the school of diamonds, I chose my setting and diamond and they showed me diamonds that were hard to choose from they were so pretty! She helped me look at different settings and understand what would be the best fit and style for my finger and needs. We are so happy to have maintained the original look of the ring, and absolutely love the contour band. We ended up recasting the gold into a plain ring as well. It turned out exactly as I imagined!

I went to the store about 20 minutes before closing time, after which the goldsmith had already left but repair was completed by 10am the next day, and I came to pick them up in late afternoon. They did an excellent job, and appreciate that they were honest upfront that I should consider this a temporary fix and disclosed that the weld will be more brittle than the original metal. The jeweler kindly reordered another pair, which worked out perfectly. Max’s carries exquisite jewelry and gifts. Their attention to detail is outstanding. For example, my earrings came in a leather pouch for traveling, and I even received a thank you tin of chocolates.

Jill Zarriello: I highly recommend Jon Gilbert for designing a custom jewelry piece! I went to Wayzata Jewelers with the idea of creating a ring that would incorporate diamonds from three generations of family wedding rings. Throughout the entire process, Jon listened to my ideas and included meaningful details I wanted integrated into the design. He used CAD software to form an image of the ring with me by his side, making sure every element was to my approval. Jon also printed the ring in 3D so I could see what the finished ring would look like on my finger prior to creating the final piece. I am so happy with the craftmanship and beauty of the finished ring! It celebrates the lives of my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be an heirloom in my family for generations to come.

Mary Lynn Carver: Jon's artistry touched our family as he helped co-create a new family heirloom - a hand embossed gold coin pendent for our daughter's graduation from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. We settled on the Scottish thistle to pay homage to her four years in Edinburgh and used a diamond from her deceased grandmother's wedding ring. Jon was wonderful to work with as we designed the piece and his finished work is breathtaking.

Upon entering we were greeted by Shawn who I quickly realized is not just another sales person, but a very genuine watch enthusiast who enjoys chatting about timepieces and life. Many Rolex dealers have a tendency to be either condescending or salesy- neither of which result in an enjoyable experience. There are a few Jewelry stores and high-end watch boutiques in the Twin Cities, but go to this one if you’d rather leave with a smile instead of a headache.
