Joel Rogness: Love this place. It leans Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, but has a selection of products from all over Asia. Used to be hard to find at first but now since we all have an omnipotent hive mind, it's easy! And so worth it.

Sean Lawrence: I tried the banh mi for the first time today and I thought it was solid. The only vegetarian option is fried tempeh, and unlike the meat ones is only made on request. While I'd prefer tofu or mock duck, the tempeh was pretty good, if a bit dry. I would also want more bite from the pickled veggies but overall great for the price

Brady McDowell: Shuang Hur is by far one of my favorite Asian supermarkets in the Twin Cities. They have everything from snacks and produce to tea and chopsticks. Very reasonable prices compared to some of the other Asian supermarkets in the Twin Cities. I really enjoy Shuang Hur!

Noah Reed: After having some great authentic ramen in the cities, I wanted to try a more modern take on the classic dish. Decided to give moto-i a shot, and they did not disappoint!First off, it has to be said - the atmosphere is incredible. The place is clean, cool, and stylistic. It’s dimly lit, and they aren’t afraid to show off their love of Sumo. This love isn’t superficial - they often have matches on several of the many TVs around the space, and they even run a fantasy Sumo league. This is just a killer place to hang out, even without their food.The food is where they really shine though. I’m from Kansas, and we love our BBQ - when I say this is the best pork I’ve had in the Twin Cities, I’m not joking. The ramen as a whole is great, though definitely more modern than authentic in style. The same pork from the ramen is used in their outstanding pork buns, which is great. The menu is more focused than a typical ramen restaurant, but everything is delicious.Overall I would definitely recommend moto-i for some killer pork, modern ramen, and a cool place to hang out.

They also gave us lots of info about special events they run since we are new to the area and are planning on coming back. We got the house made pickles and fries as a starter, vegan and classic ramen for dinner. Everything was so good and fresh! The vegan ramen was the best veg ramen I have ever had, super rich and flavorful. Love this spot!Vegetarian options: The vegan ramen was some of the best I have ever had! They have tons of vegetarian options and several vegan ones, plus delicious drinks. If you are veg put this place on your list!
Jose Quintana. .: and substituted the club soda for Sprite. It was delicious. I tasted Sake for the first time, and it was surprisingly good. A cross between a semi sweet white wine and peach schnapps but with no peach, it'll make sense when you try it. It was the first one on top of their sake menu. I also had their local cola, which reminded me of RC cola. I enjoyed it. For apps, we ordered the Rangoons, which, although they have no Crab, were deliciously filled and the pork belly pieces, which were juicy and crispy. We also had the pork belly and crispy chicken steamed buns. Each sauce complements the protein very well. Again, they were delicious. All 4 of us had the classic ramen. It was quite tasty and served very hot. We really enjoyed this place, and although we will return 10/10 for the great food, the experience wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for our server Tyler! From greeting and welcoming us to explaining the menu and giving us some suggestions, to refilling my drink multiple times just before it ended Tyler is the type of server and person that genuinely likes what he does, and does it very ,very well, that, definitely tied the whole experience while elevating it. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Jordan Brainard: We came for Omakase Matsu and also had the sake pairings. For two people, the highest level of omakase, a flight of paired sake, plus a couple extra orders of nigiri, we approached $500. The bill is total, there was not even a line for leaving a tip.I think this is a 5 star experience and worth the money for you if you know you already like the style of food. The other person in my party has eaten and prepared Japanese food for years and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal, as well as the sake.On the other hand, while I consider myself an adventurous eater, and after trying everything, I found the food to be almost off putting. I would not take someone here if they don’t know what they’re in for: cold jellies, custards in warm broth, tiny whole squids, eels, obviously raw fish, etc. In other words: I don’t think this is a place you go to be introduced to the style of cuisine.The service was without reproach, best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant across any cuisine or city in this country. The service ware was also so unique. Every piece was unique, repaired with bits of gold, and traditional. Very beautiful. Everything done here is done with a high level of perfection and attention to detail.
Linda McLoon: All through the worst part of the pandemic, we tried to get take out from our favorite places. Restaurants really struggled, and it seemed important to keep the ones we loved. Kado no Mise was one of them. We just went back for a matsu table service multi course dinner. It is such a wonderful place, and the food is perfectly prepared classical Japanese food. We also opted for the sake tasting, which I highly recommend. It was really marvelous.There were many courses. We started with sakizuke, which was made of surf clam, spinach, tofu skin, and shitake mushroom. They served "wandering poet" sake with it. Sake names are the best! I won't enumerate all the many courses, but every one was perfect. We ended with a fabulous sequence of nigiri, including one topped with seared waygu.The most crazy course of the evening was fugu! Yes- the infamous puffer fish. It apparently is flown in from Japan and verified to be safe. It was interesting, for certain!The chef collects antique service ware from Japan. Each dish is served on beautiful and unique dishes. Each sake was served in a unique cup. These items are beautiful, and it feels very special eating from them.They are located at 33 North 1st Avenue in the North loop.I think it is impossible to eat here and not leave feeling calm and happy. The chef is the lovely smiling man in the bow tie. Be sure to wave!
David Wnek: Kada no Mise offers stunning food in their tucked away downtown location. Their omakase experience was delightful, featuring unique and delicate nigiri that blew us away, along with choice Japanese delicacies we've seen nowhere else.Alas, their tucked away location led to a very strange atmosphere, particularly the odd little room my wife and I were seated in. The dark room would have been atmospheric if it weren't for the bright red fire alarm and the three windows, two of which looked out to the bar and restaurant. The servers were all kind and knowledgeable, but there seemed to be a lack of coordination between them and a lack of practice on their delivery.An excellent food experience, though understand the rest of the dining experience may not reflect the pricetag.
KJ: Enjoyed omakase matsu with my daughter for our shared birthday celebration. After experiencing omakase in Japan, I have been craving that experience here. Just so happened the chef at Kado no Mise was an apprentice chef to the chef we ate with in Kyoto. Small world! Chef Furukawa made our meal at Kado no Mise memorable and served us the most delicious meal at the counter. It’s very expensive, but it’s more than just a meal. It’s a memorable, delicious experience, unlike any other place in the cities.

When we shared that it was hard to read, we were told to just look it up on our phones, which actually isn’t very accessible for us either. Having a laminated printed menu with larger print would make ordering a lot more accessible.

Grace Fredricks: I was a little bit wary going in, I thought it looked small and that I wouldn’t be interested in what they sell. However, this place had such cute items, and I was OBSESSED. They had all kinds of studio ghibli, miffy, sonny angels, etc. I haven’t been able to have access to items like these since they’re always out of stock online or at other stores. The prices were normal for the items being sold, I couldn’t afford a ton of things here but the little things i found i love so much. The staff is sweet and helpful with locating items or prices. She told me about things behind the register that I would be interested in. All together, i’m obsessed and i’ll be back! I’ll be sure to tell everyone i know about this place too. 3

Kelly Ryberg: Awesome toy store. Mostly geared towards babies, toddlers, and little girls, but there was enough stuff that my 5 and 8 year old boys also enjoyed it. Lots of non-plastic toy options! Lots of stuff I haven't seen anywhere else. Great gift wrapping.
Brenda Balling: Very nice upscale place. I was able to find two gifts for my 6 year old niece I thought were reasonably priced. My niece loved the gifts, something I didn't expect. I'll go again next year.

One of the toys she recommended ended up being the toy the birthday played with the most at his party! Don't hesitate to ask the staff for help. They are very knowledgeable and want to sell you toys kids will use for a long time! They also wrapped it for us as well!

Brian Balquist: Wonderful little shop for kids and adults alike. They carry tons of toys, but also collectibles and stationary too! Many of the items can be hard to find in the US, so it was great to shop in person. They also carry some cool vintage toys/clothing. The packaging is also super cute, and makes the perfect gift. Highly recommend!

Tania Teigen: My son brought me here on my birthday as a surprise. This store is just delightful! It is just magical when you walk in! Everything is neat and tidy but you still feel comfortable shopping. The owner was working and she was just so helpful and sweet. They have a beautiful selection of Maileg, Paola Reina, Waldorf toys, and other tiny treasures. I will absolutely drive over to south Minneapolis to shop again. I live supporting neighborhood stores and this was just such a lovely place with beautiful fun toys! Highly recommend!
DVA NGBN: This place is so cute! It’s located next to a few different restaurants and is so tiny that if you aren’t looking carefully, you just might miss it.The store itself seems to specialize in open-ended play toys as well as wooden toys and vintage clothing. I absolutely love it! Prices are on the high end but reflect the quality of the items.I have to use all my self-control not to stop every time I pass the store.

Eric Frank: Only complaint is the bike parking. I feel like only one bike can actually fit on the rack given its proximity to the building, the entrance column, and a handicap parking space. Would love if the rack could be moved to accommodate more bikes. Otherwise, a great grocery store!

JB: . Take one example: The organic cinnamon at Trader Joe's was $4 or $5 when I bought it originally, but now when I take that same small jar and refill it at the Wedge with their equivalent, it's ~$1.50. And I get to save a container from getting tossed. Hard to beat!
S Z: I went here for the first time yesterday and I instantly felt the FOMO of not shopping here sooner. I feel so much relief shopping at a co-op and not some corporation with no public interest. PLUS you can buy in bulk here which I fully intend on utilizing. The vibe here is not like a grocery store it’s better it’s more cozy, welcoming, and personable. I’m grateful to have finally stopped by— especially because I picked up a HUGE cinnamon roll that was 12/10. Will be back (:

ARTEZUI: If you're going through Uptown, you need to stop here. The Wedge I consider one of the highlights of Lyndale into downtown!The vibe is great, the veggies, herbs and spices are fresh, and the fresh food they prepare at both the food bar and the aisle next to it are incredible; I grab lunch here with my partner all the time. The rest of their selection, though, is nothing to scoff at; premium organic products all around.Their program is worth joining as well to get permanent discounts, and they make accommodations for income restrictions such as SSI.You've got a lot to take home from this place, and if you stay long enough you will! Don't be a stranger and come by the Wedge!
Alice Bieda: Best neighborhood co op! I love the location, the staff are always kind and helpful. Their bulk food selection is great, and I love all the fresh local cheeses! Fresh produce is great. The prices are on the higher side but that is to be expected for the high quality of their items! I also love their prepared foods/meals. I take anyone who comes to visit me from out of state here, and they have all loved it.

Everyone is really helpful and friendly, and the item selection is a delight to pick through.I like to cook an assortment of meals and for the wedge being a small store, it has everything I need. I’ve ended up going from grocery store to grocery store for an ingredient before and have never had that issue here.
Claire McKevitt: The wedge is very clean, always have what I need, very friendly and kind staff, have great “hot bar” and premade options, and has a great bulk items area! Yes, the pricing is a little bit more expensive, but considering it is a co-op it does not bug me !
