Radisson RED Minneapolis Downtown: what do users think?

Heather Piehl: We stayed overnight after a concert at US Bank Stadium - awesome location for that, just a quick few minute walk!Service at front desk less than desirable.Rooms are on the small side.If you like a more modern feel instead of a more home/cozy feel, this one is for you.

Lisa M Arvizu: We checked in late at night. We had to be buzzed in to the lobby. The desk attendant was friendly and professional. Hotel parking is expensive so we asked about options and she was very helpful. Although, I’m not a fan of the decor throughout the hotel it was very clean. The needs are comfortable. The temperature was comfortable. I felt safe. Typical prices for hotel food. Neither the open areas or the room are large but it’s adequate space for a night or two. Like I said I didn’t care for the decor but it was clean.

Wendy Jackson: So close to the light rail, so getting to the airport and mall of America is a breeze. Price is great, it is connected to the Skywalk. There are no microwaves in the room, I think that is a fire safety issue, but there is one near the lobby elevator that got filthy after 1-person-use. Oh yeah, a skip and a hop to Trader Joes and Starbucks.Walkability: Great walking area, just don't pass any interstate roads. It gets sketchy.

Alexis Laubenthal: This hotel is so great if going to US Bank Stadium, and need a place to stay. Within walking distance and always a place to park nearby. The check-in is easy and can be done online as well as check out. There is a bar/ restaurant which is small but is great for a quick bite or drinkRooms: Every time we’ve stayed rooms have been clean and well cared for. They have a modern vibe to them.Safety: This hotel is safe, the street level door does lock at night. You have access back in with your room key.Walkability: Great if visiting US Bank Stadium!

Brad Adams: Great hotel right next to the stadium.A 6 minute Uber to the convention center. The rooms are very nice and modern, very quiet. The lobby, bar reception and eating area are all very trendy and nice. The food portions are large for breakfast.

Mike Schuetze: We stayed here because it was close to the U medical clinic where we had an appointment and it looked like a cool place. SO happy we stayed here!!! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, it was quiet in our room even with a full bar, and the hotel itself was beautiful. I love the combination of the old architecture and modern feel. Whoever designed this was a genius. The bed was comfortable. The covered parking was a great option. The Nespresso in our room wasn’t the greatest thing, but if that’s the only complaint, ooookay! I have never felt so welcome at a hotel and cannot wait to get back to Minneapolis and stay here.

K L: Very good experience. Unusual hotel in many ways. Service was somewhat slow. Food is ok. Rooms are nicely decorated and designRooms: Small but cozy and modernWalkability: Close to downtownNoteworthy details: Design is super unique

Rodney Thompson: . Dining options all around area and access to Lite Rail

Lindsay Strand: We spent the night here after our wedding day. After a very noisy and busy day, it was great to have such a calm and peaceful room. The decor is very earth toned, which helped me relax after having a very overstimulating day. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. The staff was very accommodating due to the fact that we would be checking in late, and they were very friendly. I’m glad we got breakfast. I would love to stay here again.

Chris (Christopher): ,

Tabitha Little: . It was Thanksgiving but came up for my sons birthday. He tried so hard to let me know a place I could get food since everything was closed.Later in the night I went down to the store and was telling Cynthia

Anna Vincent: This stay was beyond excellent; made that way by the extremely genial staff. The location was perfect for our needs also. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only small thing that was a negative is that non of the USB ports were operable. That was easily solved by bringing in our own chargers for our devices. I can't wait to go back in the nicer weather to try out the rooftop bar.

Gina Masterson: Every employee I encountered seemed to really enjoy working there. This doesn't always happen! The front desk was super willing to stop and help when they noticed any hesitation near the desk. The woman working F&B every morning was always smiling and seemed to really want for everyone to have a great day. LOVED THE LAUNDRY ROOM AMENITY! The room was clean and well thought out. 5 minute walk to campus - perfect for me in every way

Gina Ostrand: Efficient and friendly checkin, clean in all spaces including rooms.Location close to stadium and within walking distance to a Fresh Thyme if you need anything. Breakfast kept clean and fresh and all day coffee bar open was convenient.Nearby activities: Withing walking distance to Football stadium, also easy to reach other activities and restaurants associated with U of Minn.

Sarah T: My stay was for a staycation and it was perfect! The hotel is very clean and has a calm and welcoming feeling when you first enter. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and overall wonderful to interact with! The room was very spacious and clean, had normal outlets and USB plug ins by the bed which was great along with many other outlets throughout the room in convenient spots which i find very helpful. The room service was quick and convenient. There are a lot of great amenities which is awesome. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel whether it be for a staycation, vacation, for a business trip, or whatever it may be you need a hotel for!

Tom Anderson: I remember it being Grand Hotel and haven't stayed since the switch over to Hyatt. Very good location..nice big room, nice staff. I was lazy on a Monday morning and ordered room service. It was good but think of a Dennys breakfast being served in paper takeout. Coffee wasn't the best and $4 for a cup not worth it. I would stay again but not order room service. I do miss The Grand. They had a great service when you could just order coffee to be delivered to your room the next morning.

Pam Daiker: after the Vikings game and enjoyed a cocktail watching the ball drop in the hotel bar. It was nice to be able to sit down, meet some new friends without a cover charge or standing all night AND be able to run up to our room if needed, grab a drink from the bar, grab a piece of pizza from your new friends or play some Jenga by the fireplace! They had a breakfast buffet on New Years Day, $17 with salmon eggs benedict and many other things. My fiance enjoyed that very much however I went with the classic breakfast off the menu for $10 which is eggs, hashbrowns and your choice of meat. Very good experience.Safety: I felt very safe there. Even after hours.

Moises Vega: I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was big and clean and one thing that I liked the most was that there are motion activated lights on the bottom of the bed for when you get up ij the middle of the night and see where you are walking. The service was fast and amazing, we ordered a margarita pizza and it was delicious. The valet workers were so nice and they made sure to take good care of the cars. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and I will definitely come back for another night.

Jason Lewis: This place is perfect for catching any event in the downtown area. The staff even let me pay for the parking at the front desk. As I knew when I was leaving they took my payment and gave me tickets to get out of the parking garage. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Needless to say every time I'm in town to catch a Twins game I will be staying there.Rooms: Rooms are super clean and niceNearby activities: There is a lot to do all around this hotelSafety: Felt safe. I was not worried about staying there.Walkability: This hotel was within walking distance to Target Field. It was nice that they had skywalks to and from the hotel. Even though we walked outside on the street.Food & drinks: There were tons of food places everywhere. The hotel front desk even gave us a list of places and times they opened. Every helpful.

Alexi Wells: Loved the convenience of staying here for our visit and attendance of a concert. We tried using the digital room key feature but it was touch and go. It only worked sometimes and we ended up getting locked in the elevator which resulted in us requesting physical room keys.Rooms: Our room had a unique layout but that made it so the TV was really far from the bed. It could tilt toward a chair but both my husband and I wanted to watch.Nearby activities: Target center and field are connected by the sky walk which I'm sure includes many other activities. Many bars close bySafety: Room key is required for most doors and elevatorsWalkability: The skyway connects much of downtown as well as the hotel.

E Mendoza: , you can use the skywalk

Donald Mansmann: , Target Field

Erin Turner: and the serving area was spacious so it never got crowded. Our king room was very clean, and the bed was soo comfortable. We were celebrating our anniversary and they left us a sweet gift and handwritten card in our room. Highly recommend for a stay in the area!

Northern Hyperblast: The rooms were neat and clean. You can tell most of the hotel seems new, and has been maintained well. Great location if you need to be close to the U of M Fairview Medical Centers.I forgot my jacket in the closet on checkout day and the staff saved it for me with everything left in the pockets. I am extremely grateful for the hotel staff's commitment to selflessness and greatly appreciate being able to get all of my belongings back. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Olivia Wing: I loved the secure parking! I didn't worry about my car the entire trip and that was very important. Also, the location was exactly where we needed to be. 5 stars for secure parking and location. The linens were really rough and scratchy. The room was small and starting to show some wear. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. The pillows went flat immediately. There was only decaf coffee in the room. All the vending machines have been removed from the property. The pantry downstairs was bare. The restaurant/bar was closed. Breakfast was $18. It was a little bit of a food desert and we had to order in but would have preferred not to. All of the staff were attentive and the housekeepers greeted us in the halls. The halls are also showing wear. This hotel needs some TLC and food options. Also, this hotel put $180 hold on my card at check-in; that was fine--I agreed to that. But, then they pre-authed my card for another $155 card. Eventually the $155 turned to a charge but the other $180 pre-authed stayed on my card from Feb 22nd to March 1st. I was glad that I put the room on a separate card but it doesn't seem like a good business practice to tie up funds for a hotel that caters to the medical community.Safety: Secure parking is available

Gerald Bellin: The Hotel and staff were great. Parking was a little on the steep side though. Overall a nice place to stay and super clean!

Ashi: This hotel is very clean and updated. Not only that, but the warm and welcoming customer service experienced during check-in is consistent with what I've experienced at Hilton Hotels. They have a nice pool area with a hot tub, I regret not bringing my swimsuit! If I come back to this area, I will definitely stay again!Rooms: Very clean and well kept

Pat McFadden II: Poor parking

Lazaro Rupp: . A non-disclosure agreement keeps me from telling you if I won the $10,000 prize, but let's just say that next time I am in town, I'm probably staying in the discarded needle suite at the "Bed Bug Inn".PROS.SERVICE. Check-in is at four, but the guy was gracious enough to let me get into a room around 2:30pm, not exercising his right to make me wait.

Helen Hamer: Definitely enjoyed this hotel..very clean my room was awesome, enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub I would definitely be going back.Rooms: Very nice and very clean with wonderful window view.

Rand Tower Hotel, Minneapolis, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel: what do users think?

Leo: Fantastic rooms. They are modern, sleek, have an interesting and different layout. The view was great over the city from the tower. Room service was a bit pricey but delicious anyway. Miaou Miaou was a great little bar--the drinks were unique and professional.Highly recommended if traveling for work or leisure.

Michelle Lundeen Team Lundeen REMAX Results: We stayed at The Rand because it is within walking distance of US Bank stadium and it is lovely! It feels art deco with beautiful modern touches. The ladies lobby bathroom has beautiful tile, artistic loon tile and gold fixtures. The elevators were clean and so is the lobby & bar. Everyone was so helpful. We valet parked our car. Our hotel room was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was so cozy. The bathroom is beautiful with tile shower and elegant touches. I would definitely stay here again.

Ryan Senensky: I stayed here for my wedding night on October 13-14 2023 and it was a lovely stay. They had an error with their processing system and charged me 6 months later but after a quick phone call, they took care of me and reversed the charge. They even sent me an email explaining what happened in the event I got an overdraft fee. Quite brilliant service I would say!Noteworthy details: They may double charge you months after the fact and not reply back in a timely fashion.

Corey Nicholas Collins: Private dinning rooms are the best..Came to the Rand Tower club for brunch and had phenomenal service from Ernisha. Ordered the omelette which was well-made to French perfection. The omelette included mushrooms and Gruyère cheese and was light and fluffy. My wife had the traditional breakfast sub a croissant for country toast. Once again The food was really great but we were the only people in the restaurant. I hope that will change soon for this beautiful establishment. We will definitely be back.

Mitchell Cada: Loved everything about the place especially how comfortable the beds and pillows were. The only downfall was the bar on the 5th floor. Had a few drinks at other places then ordered a vodka cranberry and did not feel that great the rest of the night I couldn't even finish it, and the one drink was $19 and change. Everything thing else was amazing

Terrell Collins: Rooms were amazing and the view was beautiful. Nice time to stay since the winter isn't too bad. Check in was pretty simple. Wish it was an easier option to get ahold of front desk once the doors lock instead of me having to call the number listed on the sign they post on the door. I understand the reason to lock them however. Location is also great! I had a couple questions during my stay there and Ashlee was great with answering my questions and giving us some great options on what to do when in town! check in was fast with her and i had no issues . Will be back in the future! Great staff and building.

InterContinental Minneapolis - St. Paul Airport: what do users think?

Zee Keepitcute: . We enjoyed the view of the runway very much. The food from both restaurants blew us away and we recommend both. The restaurant staff and servers were extremely kind and efficient. They made the visit for us, if it were just the waitstaff and food this would be a five star review. We give only four stars overall because of the shortcomings of the accessible room and a rude shuttle driver. Firstly at the roll in shower there are NO bars approaching the bench, only on the back wall and wall opposite the bench in the shower. Leap of faith for those who cannot stand. The soap rack is on the opposite side of the shower from the bench. That is quite a reach for a non ambulatory person, actually they probably can't reach it's over 3 feet away. In our room the mini fridge was on the back left wall of the room facing the short side of a heavy sofa that sits parallel to the far left wall/window. The fridge sits a little over 1 foot from the edge of the sofa, in the corner, and the door swings open to the right. Most wheelchair users cannot access the inside of the mini fridge. As for the shuttle driver, we saw a tall bald man walk wordlessly through the lobby. A black man comes back in to hurriedly tell us the shuttle is about to leave. Then the shuttle driver just hops in the shuttle with his face all bunched up while riders hop in. He did not offer any assistance after having only loaded the first couples' bags and left everyone else standing there confused. He did not indicate if he had room for everyone or not. There was no courtesy in the shuttle at this point. The rude shuttle driver made for a sour send off. The other driver, who alerted everyone, politely ushered the people on the curb into another van and was very courteous on the ride to the airport. We appreciated his attempts to smooth things over.NOTE: There are no stores or restaurants a reasonable walking distance from this hotel. There is no breakfast room service. There are no ice machines or concession machines; everything must be requested from the coffee stand in the lobby. Thankfully we didn't stay long but we spent a lot on food since we flew in and did not drive.

Jamie S: Our international flight was delayed by a day so ended up needing to find a hotel. What an unexpected surprise. The rooms are so clean and spacious! We ended up with a runway view room and I was worried about noise but it wasn't very loud at all. I slept like a baby!It was very cold and we didn't pack for winter so we decided to just eat in the hotel. The food was great and so was the service. The airport shuttle was really nice and was quick. I would definitely make a plan to stay here again on purpose.

David Morey II: We stayed at the Intercontinental after finding ourselves stuck in Minneapolis for the night with a delayed flight. I called the hotel late at night hoping to get a room and was greeted by a very friendly woman who was happy to help us. They had a shuttle available and picked us up after just a few minutes. After a less than stellar stay at a different hotel in Miami this place was an amazing experience. The room was large, very clean and well appointed. The bathroom was very nice with a large walk in shower. Comfortable bed and ice furnishings. The coffee maker and a selection of coffees for the morning was an added bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Minneapolis area. I'd gladly stay there again if I'm back out that way again. We were not there long enough to sample the restaurant or lounge, but the menu looked very good. The breakfast and barista were very good.Food & drinks: We only had breakfast, but it was very good. The barista was a nice bonus.

Best Western Plus The Normandy Inn & Suites: what do users think?

Joseph Chacon: Very convenient to convention centerand downtown. Reminds me of Doubletree which is a good comparison.Food & drinks: Good hotel Bar and restaurant

Earl Greyhound: The location of the BW Downtown Normandy is ideal for attending sporting events in the MPLS area. Walking distance to US Bank Stadium, the Target Center and Target Field. Access to the interstate to go shopping at the MOA is only a block and a half away as well.Walkability: Several restaurants and sports venues are nearby.

Oksana K: Love coming here! The decor and the atmosphere are so elegant and you can tell before you even get to the front desk that they put in effort here. The staff has always been exactly what you hope for when you’re staying in a hotel; super helpful and very friendly no matter who is working. The rooms are clean and have what you need, we love the poolside room for ease of accessing the pool and sauna and hot tub. Love that they added a ping pong table too! I like that they have full size shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the showers so I don’t have to bring my own or bug housekeeping for a million of the little bottles, and my hair feels so soft after their products! The cookies and milk at night give me and my kids a fun little activity to do before bed. We have to come to Minneapolis a lot for doctor appointments and I always check if they have rooms available first, their parking is convenient compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in downtown and it’s right down the street from the clinic and hospital. Coming from a small town of less than 500 people Minneapolis can be kind of scary sometimes but I felt completely safe when I came here all alone last year with my baby, it feels secure and quiet and you know the staff is attentive.

Jennifer Erickson: Outstanding! Elegant loby and rooms. Soap, conditioner, and shampoo in showers. Kurig in rooms. Bed super comfy. Can add breakfast to room but totally worth it. Connected restaurant is great and yummy! This is where breakfast is and is way great! Indoor pool and hot tub. In middle of city, about 2 blocks from courthouse and 6 or so from stadium! Perfect location. Rooms dark and city sounds muffled and not disturbing. Parking xtra but in gated lot and off street. Only improvement suggestion is to have more baggage carts! Lol

Stephanie Heidinger: Stayed here for an Expo at the convention center. Getting from parking ramp to hotel desk was CONFUSING; getting to Convention Center from lobby is even worse! Skyway isn't really user-friendly & is a bit of a maze. After that said, the hotel itself is really nice & upscale. Called and asked if an early check-in was available & they accommodated.Downtown Mpls has tons of restaurants and bars to choose from if you decide not to use the ones in the hotel. It's time to put my feet up and enjoy the stay.

Kelly Powell: This isn't JUST about their maple smoked sausage, THIS is about the staff at the hotel saving me a bowl twice this week "in case we ran out" and giving it to me as I come down to grab a bite before heading to work because "We know you love this sausage!" 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣More than your typical customer service of hospitality, but a GRAND ACT of HUMAN KINDNESS at this hotel from the kitchen staff, to housekeeping, front desk, etc! When they seen me Tuesday morning they said they'd make it for me "tomorrow" and MAN OH MAN, did they exceed that as they made it twice for me!!Yesterday, they did run out but had some set aside for me.... it was THE SWEETEST EVER!!!!! Totally felt like royalty! 🖤🖤🖤Might be silly to some but to me, it's one of the COOLEST, most THOUGHTFUL moments I've experienced while traveling! 🖤🙌🖤I simply love being a Hilton Girl, but Homewood Suites in Edina, Angela the head of the kitchen, Pat and Valerie in the kitchen and Cameron at the front desk, you guys will always have my heart! 3 stays thus far since February and will always book my stay simply because of you all!!!!Thank you for making me feel special and a part of the family each stay, you're ALL A BLESSING to the Hilton Establishment!

Jason Puent: Beautiful hotelNearby activities: Southdale mall close byWalkability: Couple of restaurants in walking distance

Nicole: I am 100% a Hilton snob & will always choose a Hilton. Homewood suites are my favorite on longer trips, full kitchen, a living room area & a larger room. I also had a patio which is nice. My room was HUGE. I want to point out that yesterday I sent a message through the app, requesting toilet paper & the shampoo in the shower was almost empty. When I got back to my surprise, my room was cleaned. I didn't expect that at all as most hotels still aren't cleaning your room unless by request. The only 2 negatives, my room is facing the busy street so it is a tad noisy and no hot tub. But the pool is open til 11pm which is great. I seen some reviews saying not enough parking exists. Maybe it is because I'm on one of the corners but I haven't had an issue with a parking spot. Also seen complaints about dogs, person next to me has a dog, I've only heard the dog bark a few times, nothing bothersome. Gentleman at the front desk is super friendly as well. You're also near MANY things & different restaurants within walking distance

Blake P: , otherwise great. The beds were pretty rough comfort wise, usually get a better bed at Hiltons. The thermostat was odd. February, and it was on AC, turned it higher and no heat ever came on. It wasn't terrible cold out

Teenie: The pool smells amazing and is open till 11, the gym area is open 24:7. It’s really close to Dave and busters. The room is clean, the whole establishment is clean. The continental breakfast is in a really open, sunny room and it helps the wake up process. I really enjoy this hotel and will book here again.Nearby activities: Within 20 mins of downtown, and Dave and busters is in the same parkinglot basically. You have to go inside of the mall and all the way up to the 3rd floor on the escalator to get to d&b

Royal Sonesta Minneapolis Downtown: what do users think?

Lauren: at the front desk I had during my check in and stay here. The restaurant was also amazing as well! Really good food and some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Definitely coming back again this year!!! Also my server Lolo was amazing as well.

Brian Frost: Room was pretty small, and ours lacked a window.Rooms: The room was clean, but pretty small. Nothing special by any means. Toilets are incredibly short in the bathroom.Nearby activities: The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to a number of restaurants, as well as Target Field, Target Center, and US Bank Stadium.Walkability: The hotel is in a great location. Michael Dvoracek: Overall a decent stay. Very unique finishings and fun artwork in the lobby and in the room. I was pretty disappointed with the window in our room just looking out over a large indoor conference room with no view of the outside, which was really odd. There was also a weird stain on our bathroom door, not sure what it was, but it wasn't a huge deal as we weren't touching it or anything. The shower had decent pressure and temperature, but the faucet was loose and you could see into the wall behind it and there was only one setting for a rain-like spray on the head, would've liked something a bit nicer. Overall, I was pretty happy wit the stay.

Aloft Minneapolis: what do users think?

Kyle Sendgikoski: As expected room, service, amenities. Visited in March so no crazy events. Three blocks from blue line light rail and US bank stadium.Rooms: Nothing special but temperature regulation was a bit annoying, either too cold or hot and thermostat adjustment would completely reverse.Nearby activities: Several nearby stadiums and venuesWalkability: Minneapolis is rather small downtown so 1 mile to city center is niceFood & drinks: Lots of options the further along the water you walk

Stephanie Fivie: Super great stay! Awesome atmosphere and within walking distance of so many restaurants. First night the heat wasn't working in our room but the front desk helped with getting another room together for us. Cute lobby seating area with pool table, and games. Bar from 4-11pm, pool and hot tub, and hot breakfast choices made to order! We definitely will stay here again!

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Minneapolis-Dwtn (Conv Ctr), an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Knut Böhmer: Had a great two-night stay here for a conference. The front-desk staff was helpful and friendly. Tameka informed me that the room I booked was located on top of the elevator, and immediately offered to switch rooms for a very reasonable $5 upgrade per night - much appreciated! The room itself was clean and had everything I needed for two days. I was initially a bit concerned about road noise, but that turned out to be not a problem. The hotel is within easy reach of several hotels that were used for conference receptions, as well as restaurants, and the convention center is literally around the corner.Definitely a good place to stay for a reasonable price!

Nick Kilstein: This is a perfectly adequate hotel for the location and price. The service, parking, and breakfast are all good. The pool and hot tub are very nice. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit old and the showers are especially dated. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the curtains to prevent water from getting all over the bathroom.

stephanie landregan: Nice staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast close to the convention centerRooms: CleanSafety: Good areaWalkability: Close to convention center

Terry Hughes: .The gym is small but there are at least 3 decent machines. The location is on the edge of town but I felt safe. If you walk next door to the Ivy you can then access the subway network of elevated tunnels that cover the entire city, that was so useful when it was raining.Overall, I will definitely stay here again.
