Twin Cities Drum Collective: what do users think?

Adam Peterson: and re-rings! The kit sounds like a freight train and weighs a LOT less than I was expecting. Aside from the quality of the nose-to-toes custom job

Brett Lobben: The drum shop of all drum shops! Whether it is getting work done on my own drums, picking up something new, or just stopping in to hang, TC/DC always delivers. And the 651 drums…amazing. My 651 fire-painted copper snare is one of the most versatile drums I’ve ever owned. Whatever the need, TC/DC always makes it happen. The Twin Cities drumming community is lucky to have TC/DC!

Jon Lindquist: TCDC is the best drum shop in the cities. Lane and his team are so helpful and supportive. Anytime I’m in a pinch they have helped beyond what I could’ve hoped for and continuously provide excellent service for the local drumming community. TCDC forever!!

Andy Erickson-Peterson: TCDC is the best shop around. The kindest and most knowledgeable staff of any shop around. It’s my go to place if I need a part, a new snare, want to try the latest cymbals or even to order a custom drum kit! Yes! They make drums with local wood and local parts. It’s a real drummers shop. Stop by, you won’t walk away disappointed. If you do, message me and we’ll talk about it 😂I bought my fav snares there, one of them pictured here: 651 maple snare with Birdseye yellow finish.

Jeni Margules: I have a 4 year old who loves Metallica and was interested in learning to play the drums. I was at a loss as to where to take him where he could bang on some to his heart's content and see if it was something worth pursuing. This shop is TRULY phenomenal. We were welcomed with open arms, shown to a tiny drum kit that fit him perfectly and basically left alone to be as loud as we wanted to be for as long as we chose to be there. Then they helped us pick out a kit to consider, gave us a screaming deal, helped with setting up lessons, and gave a brief concert. I cannot express how grateful and pleased I am to have stumbled into this shop.

Frederick The Planespotter: Awesome drum store! Lots of cool musical items and cool merch! Very friendly staff! Love it! Recommended!

Jon Peterson: This is a great shop. For drums, go here first.

Tom Mandery: Always helpful and they have the most unique gear in the metro for you to find your own sound

Josh Nelson: Very cool place with all things acoustic drums! Vintage and new

Tyson Conn: Got it in my head to get a couple my bass drums cut down to a more manageable size and knew a few drummers in town who spoke very highly of TCDC. They did not disappoint! They answered all of my questions, held onto the drums for some extra time until I could get to The Cities to pick them up and they even let my wife charge her phone while we were finalizing the plan! Daryle did an awesome job cutting the kicks down to 14x22 and the bearing edges have never looked better! The staff is very knowledgeable and I'm very sure that if I didn't live 4-5 hours away I'd be in there every week bothering them with stupid questions and looking at all the drums! Thanks again everyone for a wonderful experience! You're definitely at the top of my recommendations list!

Damon Cuccia: I collect Rogers drum equipment and I once found a Rogers Memriloc cymbal stand here and they gave me an excellent deal on it. And I've always been able to find the drum head that I need here. They also found exactly the right soft shell bass drum case that I needed which I couldn't find anywhere else.

Brent Cornelius (YukonCornelius): Unbelievable people to work with! They were knowledgeable, welcoming, and always ensuring you're getting the best of the best when it comes to custom sounding drums. Boy did they deliver! I would highly recommend working with them for any custom ideas you have drummed up in that brain bucket of yours. You'll truly get what you pay for and then some! Not only does it look great with the kit, the sound is so true and so beautiful even my staunch guitar player takes a moment and says how great it sounds on the playbacks. Thank you TCDC! Can't wait for our next endeavor

Tony B: Hands down the best drum place in MN. Even fixed my hi hat stand. Very kind and informal people there. Good honest humans.

Ben Nylen: My experience at TCDC has been 100% positive. Kelly took the time to help me buy the cymbal *I* wanted to buy, not the one *HE* wanted to sell me, if you catch my drift. Good people. If you are a drummer who has been put off by your experience at other shops, ignored or talked down to, give TCDC a try, you won't be disappointed!

Isaac Schmidt: These guys rule. I'm missing a piece of hardware on my old Acrolite so I have to use snare string to hold the snare wire in place. Not ideal. I walked in looking for string and they just happened to have the obscure piece of hardware I needed laying on the front desk. BAM. They kindly hooked me up with what I need to fix my drum and some homemade snare straps. Top-notch dudes in a top-notch drum shop!

M Seitz: This place is awesome! Lots of quality drums and cymbals and Kelly is very kind and helpful. I’ll be a return customer for sure.

Tim Coffey: What a great experience! 20x16 cut down to a 20x12 and could not be happier! Thanks, Kelly!

Klash Drums LLC: what do users think?

Richard Lee Schwinden: I took some drum equipment to sell, Jeremy was more than fair for what he offered. He also helped me with my Van door. If you need drums, you need KLASH and Tell 'Em The Zerr0 set ya.

jimmy lyback: If you are in search of an exceptional drum shop, Klash is the place to go. They have a vast selection of high-quality drums and percussion instruments perfect for both beginners and professionals. Besides, their guitar lesson programs are equally impressive, offering comprehensive training in various styles of music. At Klash, you can find everything from drumsticks and cymbals to drum sets, snare drums, and electronic drums. They have a team of knowledgeable and experienced staff who are always willing to help you find what you need.Whether you're starting out or looking to upgrade your drumming skills, Klash has got you covered. They offer a range of drum and guitar lesson programs designed to cater to different skill levels and music styles.I recently bought a tambourine from them, and the quality was superb. You can check out their new location on 40th and Central in Columbia Heights. It's a spacious and well-lit shop with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Alan: Terrific drum store. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced and awesome customer service. Don’t need to know anything about drums to walk out with what you need.

Bob Locke: Fantastic drum shop. Helpful and very knowledgeable staff. Really amazing cymbal room, great lessons program, and really cool events bringing in some awesome talent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mark Chapman: A store for drummers by drummers. The staff I've dealt with love their craft, know their stuff and never put on any pressure to buy and I've never felt dumb asking simple questions

Alec Floyd: I live in Atlanta but purchased a ride cymbal from them because they had the best price I could find, after about a month the cymbal cracked and I reached out about the warranty since meinl has you go through the dealer and it was a seamless process, and they were very helpful and responsive during the entire process, I wish we had shops like this in Atlanta

Hellaenergy: Awesome staff

Michelle Mercado: Talented and patient staff. Our son loves going here for lessons.

Daniel Johnson: I took drumkit lessons with Adam for about 6 months, in 2021/22.I have been playing drums for almost 30 years, starting with jazz band in 6th-9th grades. Since then I have had a few different drumkit instructors. Adam stands out for his insight, knowledge, and experience, and also his easy-going vibe. I learned something new each lesson.Highly recommended! Klash is pretty good too.

J Jo: I had my first ever lesson and Adam was so kind and patient! Everyone in the shop was super nice and the cats were an added bonus!!

Daniel Hunter: I wanted to re-express my gratitude for y'all working with me to ship a drum set to Alaska. I know it was a pain, but I'm so grateful! It was securely packed with all hardware perfectly organized. Thank you!

Carey Nadeau: Great stuff!!! Well worth a trip!!

Naomi Swanson: Great service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Glad we found a good local shop to get a set of drums.

Samuel Stroup: Hands down my favorite drum shop. I’ve come countless times looking for specific little lugs and tension rods and the klash guys always find the stuff I need. Super generous with trade ins and store credit. Great cymbal selection and hardware. It’s the Home Depot of used drum shops

Twin Town Guitars: what do users think?

Jacob Zimmerman: Purchased an isntrument from them online. The pics were exactly of the instrument I purchased and not stock photos. Shipping was reasonable price and timing with accurate updates. Product was packaged well and the shop did a phenomenal job getting it ready to ship and plays better than I could have hoped. I hope to visit the physical location next month and thank you folks in person.

Mike Merwin: on a favorite guitar but I was hesitant to bring it in because it's not exactly a pro-level guitar and I am not exactly a studio player. I asked for advice on what strings I should try from the very kind and helpful staff and went with their suggestion. When I picked up the guitar, I could not believe the amount of work that was clearly done. The fretboard looked better than the day I bought the guitar and I could immediately tell as I strummed it that I had left it in the hands of a professional. Money well spent at a fantastic guitar shop.

Nathan Gentry: I called Twin Town from beautiful, sunny Florida and spoke with AJ. I was all like “the internet said you guys have a left handed Epiphone ES 335 in a vintage burst. Is that true?” And AJ was all like “I believe we do have one of those but let me go look. Do you mind if I put you on a brief hold?” And I was like, “of course not”. So I waited on hold briefly while AJ ran to check and make sure Twin Town did in fact have a left handed Epiphone ES 335 in a vintage burst. I was concerned AJ would come back and tell me that no such guitar existed in his store. But when he came back to the phone he was all like “I do have one of those in stock”, so I bought it. AJ and the gang shipped my guitar out FAST too. I didn’t have to wait weeks to express myself through the majesty of song on my new left handed Epiphone ES 335 in vintage burst. Needless to say, I couldn’t be any happier with Twin Town or AJ’s service.

richard traxler: Great shop, great teachers, well managed, fun place, better than the strip mall stores.

Robert Wicklander: Best guitar store I’ve ever been to. Cole was awesome in helping me get back into playing after a couple year break! Super knowledgeable and super nice. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This is where I’ll be going for anything guitar related. Thanks guys!

Josephine Morris: I got my first bass from Twin Town Guitars. I went in looking for a bass guitar, and was instantly greeted with friendly and informative staff. They have a pretty good collection, and you can pretty much find what you're looking for than if you went to a bigger store like Guitar Center. I love supporting local businesses, and this is one to definitely support!

Chris Dewar: Bought a lefty Taylor classical guitar from out of state that I couldn't find anywhere else. Haven't visited the store but had great experience and highly recommend!

Rich Rue: Great music store! 👍🎶

Kelly Cook: Great music resources

Alex Nelson: Love this store! Super helpful and welcoming. Love that they have two little "try out" rooms, where you can play guitars and pedals without worrying about bugging the people around you and you can tell if you like it or not. They have always been happy to let me try whatever guitar or pedal I've asked about. I've never felt like a burden to the sales staff, and I also haven't ever felt pressured into a purchase. They really just want to help you find your next favorite gear. Also a great place for lessons. I enjoy going to lots of guitar stores and this is my favorite in the Twin Cities.

Paula Buendorf: Wow! We had a great experience here and learned so much as new guitar owners. Great customer service...knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. Thank you, Asa!

Matthew Pagel: Always friendly and helpful!

Mark McCubbin: The staff at Twin Town are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly and their product selection is great. Support your local shops like this. They can't be replaced by the internet!

Justin Bowling: Definitely one of the best music stores in the Twin Cities, and quite frankly one of the best I've ever been to in the country. Their selection is incredibly solid, from low priced cool stuff you've never seen before all the way up to very high end collectible vintage gear, and everything in between. Also, everyone that works here is super nice and friendly. I did a big trade with them the other day, and it was the easiest trade I have ever done. They are very transparent in how they work with trades. They look at the average sale price, and you get 70% of that. It's so close I was able to roughly gauge what my trade in would be, and then put together what I wanted to trade it in for before coming in and I was able to walk out with everything I wanted. Also, that 70/30 split on trade in's is by FAR the fairest and best trade value I have ever seen at a shop. It makes it worth it to just go here rather than sell online as the difference in what you get isn't really all that much compared to selling it yourself after you factor in the time it takes to sell an item online and the shipping costs. This place is definitely a 5 star shop. There's a reason it's been around and continues to be well known.
