Jeff W: With summer approaching it was time to get my central ac checked out and ready for the hot summer ahead. When Brad arrived he explained the process. Brad changed my furnace filter and turned off my April Air. He went outside checked and cleaned my ac system. Then he finally helped me program my thermostat. Brad was excellent. He answered all my questions. I highly recommend Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.

Alison: I spoke with a gentleman regarding an air return cavity. I was in the middle of a remodeling project and was unsure about the next steps. I emailed pictures & he gave me his recommendation. I’m very appreciative for the help he gave over the phone and in an email. I was able to complete my project immediately. I will definitely call Mill City for an any future problems or maintenance.
Torrance Beavers: During the last stretch of negative temperature we had a radiator freeze and crack. We called around and decided to go with Mill City Heating and cooling for the repair. I'm so happy we did. A professional, friendly, and knowledgable staff and technicians. Not only did they do a great job of installing the new radiator but when we called with concerns they answered all our questions and even walked me through how to maintain the boiler pressure over the phone until they could arrive to fix. Top notch service!!! I would absolutly recommened for anyone having heating issues!

Shortly after that on the same day, I received an email with a new bid for TWICE as much! It didn't feel right so I reached out to Mill City Heating and Cooling. They reviewed the project and provided a bid, we hired them and upon final payment, it was EXACTLY the same amount as their original bid
John Krech: and they were amazing. We were remodeling a house in Southwest Minneapolis that was down to the studs so we had many contractors through our place and Mill City was the best. You know someone is good when other people in the trades and even the inspectors ask who did the work. This was not a flip, we live in this house and the system has been working great. One thing I liked best is their final price was Navid’s original bid. I found them to be very professional and deliver high quality work for a good value. We have had them do work in another property and have referred them to family and friends and everyone has had the same experience.
tim: I had Mill City replace furnace and air conditioner in 4000 sq. ft. home. I don’t like to shop but spent time learning more then I needed to know about internal part manufacturers, brand performance history, air flow, proper sizing, and value points on HVAC efficiency. Then I met with 5 contractors. Mill City brought an “A” game at the “C” player price point and that was my concern when I selected them. If the analogy is a professional athlete they outplayed the contract. I am way more than happy with the job they did and do/have recommend them to anyone wanting the best value with least hassle.
wdcort: Boiler went out in a rental property and I called Mill City Cooling in.the early AM. They got there when they said they would. They.got the boiler working. Staff was friendly and flexible. I recommend them.

Navid came right over and showed me that it was most likely just that the dampers hadn't been adjusted for summer. He showed me how to adjust them myself and gave some great tips for maximizing the efficiency of the system. He was extremely courteous and helpful, the visit was quite quick, and he didn't charge us. We're super grateful! We'll definitely be using Mill City going forward!

We hired Mill City Heating & Cooling to install a new high-efficiency furnace and air conditioner. They also installed and modified the duct work to the new mechanical room location. Dean did an exceptional job both altering the duct work for the new basement layout and installing the new furnace. I absolutely recommend Mill City Heating & Cooling and will definitely be calling them again if we ever have any future heating and cooling issues.

Sam Smith: I was looking for replacement parts for an old tub faucet. Was referred to this place by another local plumbing supply store. The gentleman behind the counter new exactly what kind of old faucet I had as soon as he saw the stem. Produced a replacement in a matter of minutes, I left I with exactly what I needed even though I didn't know what kind of faucet I had to begin with. Now I know where to go in fifty years when the faucet fails again.

Bryan Halicki: My shower head in my 1928 Minneapolis home was leaking while my tub faucet was running for the past few months. I called Soderlin on 9/27 to diagnose and repair the issue. Their office picked up immediately and worked with my schedule to have someone arrive the next day. They sent Joel, a professional plumber with over 20 years of experience. He contacted me ahead of my appointment the morning of 9/28 and was prompt and early. He ran a few diagnostics and gave me a couple options to potentially fix the issue. He recommended the inexpensive option first which I went with. He replaced the shark bite fitting with a copper connection, and the shower head no longer leaked. The problem was due to a bad shark bite connection that was constricting the water flow and backing up to the shower head. Joel was professional, courteous, and explained the issue in easy to understand terms. Soderlin hourly rates were very reasonable, especially with their team like Joel that have decades of experience. I should have called them months ago to fix my issue. I received a 5 star service experience from them. I saved their business card for my fridge. They are my new go-to plumber for any of my plumbing needs. Thanks Soderlin Plumbing & Heating for the great experience!

James Dietrich: After a suspicious "requirement" to replace my furnace from a Big Box HVAC company, I called Welter Heating. Travis showed up, took a look, and found that someone had adjust the gas pressure way to high, causing more flame, more combustion, and more CO2 emissions. Travis adjusted the gas to the proper level and found emissions were fine. Gave some suggestions for airflow, but didn't try to "sell" me anything. This will be my GoTo HVAC company from now on.

Kyle Wesely: David with Freedom did a large project for me as part of a basement remodel, and did an excellent job! Scope of work included a new furnace and A/C unit, re-configured duct work to allow for more ceiling space for a new basement bedroom, and a number of new gas lines. As part of the larger basement project, David had to coordinate a number of items with the plumber I had hired, and he did a great job playing nice and working well with the other contractor. The electricians Freedom subcontracted, JZ Electric, did excellent work as well.David consistently had an eye on suggestions for improvements that could be done, when other contractors would simply be trying to install new HVAC systems, get paid, and get out. The staff workers that did the majority of the work were friendly, respectful, and helpful with all my questions. He cleaned out clogging, changed capacitor $12, tested CO levels, ensured furnace safety and confirmed thermostat is working good, for total $200. Problem started after another company did a furnace tune-up two days ago pushing sales hard, quoted $179 for capacitor, scared us furnace was unsafe, tried to sell CO monitor for $199 and then new furnace. We needed a second opinion, furnace stopped working right afterwards. We called GV heating & air, our go to people, very trustworthy and reasonable price! Highly recommended them. Along with the new AC I had them address some Duct work issues I was having and add a humidifier to my furnace. They were able to fit me in within a week. Josh and Q showed up right on time, were very courteous, professional, and well experienced. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease that they knew what they were doing. Charlie stopped by to service my AC and he did everything he needed to do with minimal interruptions of my work day--love that!Peter arrived on time, immediately went to work, finished the repair in 10 minutes and didn't charge me anything because he didn't have to use any of his own materials. When is the last time someone performed a maintenance service for you free of charge? Of course, none of their maintenance visits have a charge because I am a member of their maintenance club. For that, I pay $99 a year, and they maintain all of my utilities without additional charge. They do this with the hope that if you do need work done that you will choose them. And I certainly have. They always do excellent work and they will continue to be my go-to team for help with my utilities. A rival company sent out a notice that sewer pipe connections from the home to the street city connection were failing in my area. He informed me with my particular situation that was not true. Really felt like these folks know and appreciate plumping. This will be my first stop for plumbing from now on.Great service, great people with lots of knowledge, reasonable prices - what more can a customer ask for?Update: discovered my shower had 1930s valve cartridges. I brought in my cartridges and they dug through catalogs until they found someone who makes a replacement. It took a couple months for these special parts to come in, but once installed they worked flawlessly. I can't say enough good things about these people. I worked primarily with Nick for the parts and Max for pickup - they both did solid by me!
