Gandhi Mahal Restaurant: what do users think?

Adam Sicora: Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas, Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings Large vegetarian selection

Lola Garcia: Best food and kind owners

Sara Hanel: I relatively recently moved to the area, I am from a small town with very little food diversity/choices. I decided to give something new a try. LET ME TELL YOU. I had an out of body experience. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and a samosa with green chutney. It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had in my life. My pants button was bursting at the seam and I couldn’t stop eating. I am a changed woman.

Rikesh Patel: Mentioned by comedian Nimesh Patel

vincent roy: Food was good a little expensive. Inside the place isn't what is shown on website way smaller then what is posted.

Faisal Sallam: Excellent food

Gorkha Palace: what do users think?

james: I have never had Indian food prior to going. The food was amazing especially the donut balls 10/10 recommend to anyone willing to try new things or just have great service and food.

Felix Phoenix: This is some of the best Indian food that I have ever eaten! The Chicken Tikka Masala raised my expectations of other Indian restaurants, and of course, the Garlic Naan was delightful. My date introduced me, and we both had a great time!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp and nice spacing to get in between the seats.

James Kuznecoff: . I even tried re-creating this dish at home, but it was not as good as the restaurant. This dish has an interesting stirfry-like composition, where in the potatoes are actually dry and not in a sauce. Combined with the flavor profile, it’s very interesting. Even when I’ve tried to make myself, it seems to come out a little little bit slimy. But here, the okra was dry and very tasty. If you come here, I recommend making the aloo bhindi one of your dishes.

jesse boom: Enjoyed the lunch buffet. Great value at only $20, the buffet had a lot of variety available. Everything looked fresh, and everything I tried was delicious! The place was clean and the employees were friendly. The food was well stocked, and they continued to bring out fresh food the entire time I was there. Highly recommend, I know I'll be back again!

Nasra: Parking: Parking can be difficult when it’s busy but most days it can be very nice u just park up and go the there. It’s also a free parking so a win is a win.Kid-friendliness: Very nice for the kids they can choose what they eat.

kuv vue: The food was fire! Gyro meat was off the hook! Chicken drumsticks were fire, BBQ beef ribs were super fire! Mac & cheese were fire, fried wings were fire. Very soul food like.. And all the fish, both bake and fried were crazy fire! Hidden gem for sure, and the fit guy with long hair at the register was really cool. Great service! Best Mediterranean food I've had. Will 100% be coming back.

Bridget Deerflinger: Fantastic Food, the nicest people working there, absolutely loved it! If you are on eatstreet, skip creepy Christos and go to Marhaba instead. DELICIOUS and way better Mediterranean food, people and prices!Vegetarian options: Taste so good! HUMMOS, FALAFEL,GRILLED EGGPLANT WITH FRESH PEPPERS ANDGARLIC,TABOULI PERFECTION,SAMOSAS..YUM!!!

Lynda C: I got the family dinner for two and honestly it was so much food and could probably be good for 2-4 people depending on your appetite! I was surprised by the portion size and it was very generous. I liked that I got to try a little bit of everything. The flavors were as expected, but not anything mind-blowing. The hummus and baba ganoush was tasty. For the value and quality, it's pretty solid and hits the Mediterranean craving. I also got the baklava and kinafa, and those were good 🙂 Their spicy red sauce was also tasty.

Shantell H.: First, the food is divine. The food is fresh and the flavors are bold and unique, easily better than any butter chicken I've had thus far.Second, I ordered some aloo tikki, received it in my hands, and then promptly dropped it on the floor and wasted it by accident :( I was so upset. But the owner was so kind in giving me another aloo tikki on the house. Bless him!!I will definitely be back for more soon!

Renee Pagano: Had a great breakfast! Food was tasty, well presented, generous portions. I’m vegetarian, and there were lots of options. We will be back!Vegetarian options: Willing to adapt to leave out meat.

Tracey Dickinson: Wow!! I love finding wonderful new locally owned neighborhood restaurants!! Went here for breakfast, and got right in. We had the pancakes with a really good honey yogurt and blueberry toppings. And the breakfast burrito that came with some delicious greens that had a unique lemon vinegrette dressing. It was all delicious! They have different lunch and dinner menus that will swing back thru to try. Highly suggest!

Gary Milne Rojek: . I believe it's under new management now. It has kept the Mediterranean favorites and added some South American flair. The shawirma was probably the best I've ever had. Also had a delicious bowl of green curry lentil soup. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Chef really knows what they are doing. Dine-in decor is so-so, buy don't let that stop you. Highly recommend!

Micah Anderson: , which comes with a fresh tomato/onion marinated salad, cheesy potato cakes, and hominy. You won’t be disappointed! The service is great and they don’t use their drink sales as a huge profit center like many other restaurants do.

Kristen Wells: It’s not fancy but the food was great and the service was perfect. Very reasonable prices, definitely not trying to gauge customers. They have Beelers bacon which is what I buy at home. It’s expensive, $10/lb, but it’s really good. They could definitely get cheaper bacon but it wouldn’t be as tasty. Same with the multigrain bread…perfect! A pet peeve of mine is unbuttered toast accompanied by cold, hard butter. The butter here was obviously heated up a smidge and was easily spreadable. These little things are representative of the care being taken with the food. If I lived in MN, I’d be here all the time!

Ed Vater: Absolutely delicious and genuine!

Annette B: So far I have had the Falafel, Cabbage Rolls, Lebanese Salad and Chickpea Salad. Lebanese Salad and Chickpea Salad are absolutely wonderful!Falafel is good but I probably would not order it again here. Cabbage rolls were also good but again would not order a second time. I am continuing to work my way through the menu!Food and prices are good! I’m just working on finding my favorites! The staff always greets you and getting in and out for takeout is quick and easy!

Daniel Kempenich: Great food, especially love the Panang Curry. Very friendly.

Marsh Jones (MNSwamp): I reviewed Zakia Deli about 8 years ago, and thought it time for a refresh. The good news is that it hasn't changed. Same family owners, David is still in the kitchen every day as he's been for the past 20? years, and the food is still just as good as it was 20 years ago! This is not a small thing, especially for a restaurant to survive the pandemic, inflation and everything else the years have thrown in.The same staple lunch dishes are there, giros, falafel, salads and great entrees as well. And it's seriously good food.Stop in for lunch. You deserve it!

Sanjay Senthilkumar: A small Indian restaurant that seems to be run by a family. The food is AMAZING and the pricing is even better. This is not what we expected when we stopped by for a quick bite. If I am in the neighborhood I would definitely visit again! The dosa, idly and tea are must try and once again the price and the service provided are top notch

yanda ramesh: I found this indian restaurant is the best one in Minneapolis. I liked all the items. The best one is chicken chettinad. Food is also not over priced. I recommend all the Indians to try, especially Telugu people. Best for people who like spicy food.-Premakumar Yanda

Alex Czop: Wonderful owner, nice open atmosphere, great portions for the price, tasty tzatziki, chapati wrap was yum and ginormous, chicken gyro had like 2 big ol breasts on it, fries were crisp and salty with a great sauce, just a wonderful experience!Vegetarian options: Falafel options on most dishes and a number of great looking salads!

Anita Jelodari: The first visit to Afro Deli, I ordered their steak with rice dish, and it was incredibly spicy. I couldn't even finish it. But on my second visit, I opted for the chicken fantastic and steak sandwich, which were both delicious and healthier with just the right amount of spice, and not greasy. I particularly enjoyed the zucchini in the chicken fantastic.

Cortney Gross: I've dined and ordered from door dash various amounts of times. In fact this is my favorite cuisine and spot to have it. I get the same meal every visit and it always hits the spot. There's an employee who is ALWAYS there any day of the week I end up going and he is extraordinary! Forgive me if I have the wrong name but I believe it's Dasmon? Just ask what they do have or what they might recommend. The guy working the kitchen let my friend and I try a couple different types of meat that were both great since we hadn’t had it before. Sambusas were good too but are spicier meat.

Miles Boone: . The food is fresh cooked, high quality, well spiced and delicious. It will take a little time for your food to be ready, since it is fresh. I recommend you get multiple sambusas. But even better than the food is the woman who cooks it and I assume is the owner. She is such a nice person and had no problem offering recommendations and putting up with all of my questions. The young woman working the register the first time I went was also super nice and corrected my calling SAMBUSAS samosas politely and with humor, and I was glad to know that I was getting it wrong so I could correct myself.Do yourself a favor and check this place out - you won't regret it.

Rena Corsey: Fresh Foods

Sherri Williams: Loved the tea

Munino Milan: They have very good food

Katie Brock: Absolutely amazing people and the food!!!!! Best food I've had in quite a while!! No complaint at all! You will NOT regret trying anything you get!

Adam Vongphakdy: Very friendly and welcoming ladies. Went in on my commute to rosendale stop for soda, has decent variety, also they sell snacks and chips.

Stainless Jay: Mashallah Great food and kind people...

Beth Barnes: I WOULD take a pic of the Philly steak and rice I ordered, but it looked and smelled so good, I dove right in! I also got two triangular pastry puffs with ground beef and spices in it. OMG- this is where I'm going for my comfort food!! The two Somali men there were helpful and friendly. The younger one spoke excellent English and handled the money. The elder was the chef, was a little less fluent, but could still describe much of what was on the menu. I had a sample of hot sweet Somali tea as I waited. Don't know their every workday hours, but today they are open 7A-9P. DEFINITELY worth checking out.
