From the very beginning Ashley created a sense of calm within the wedding planning process, which is the exact opposite of how most people ever expect to feel. As a person who always wants to know what's going on and be a part of the planning I knew that it would be a challenge to trust someone else, but Ashley somehow defied this. I was able to put my full trust into her and in doing so she created the most magical, beautiful and happy day my husband and I could have ever dreamed of. I found myself trying to find things to stress about because she was so on top of it I had nothing to actually worry about, it was the most incredible year of wedding planning only because of Ashley and her team. Ashley has a strong and talented group of women who work along side her and have shown me and my husband nothing but love and and commitment to also helping make our day perfect. I am in awe of Ashley, her team, the work she does and the experience she creates not only for us but our guests as well. Ashley is strong, kind, resourceful, creative, resilient, loyal and an all around incredible human. October 7th 2023 was truly the best day of our lives and I will never forget the pure joy, love and happiness that was felt by us and so many that day. What we admired most is that she certainly does not just tell you what you want to hear - she gives you the truth. But she doesn't just say no and move on - she is always bringing alternatives to ideas that can bring you as close to your absolute dream as possible. And that is because Ashley has already thought of every possible outcome of every possible scenario before she's even brought it to you. She helped us pick the perfect venue. She negotiated on our behalf countless times. She told us to do our ceremony outside even when the weather was suspect and we were a little nervous. And she was there for every single guest throughout the night if they needed her. Even weeks after the wedding, we had guests texting us and saying how incredible Ashley was throughout the day and how impressed they were with her call to do the ceremony outside - we are forever in debt to her for that. Ashley did what all planners should aspire to do - bring the vision to life and make the wedding appear as flawless as can be to the bride and the groom. Without Ashley's persistence, work-ethic and patience - I don't even want to think about how stressful the entire process could have been. We already miss her and would recommend her to any and all.

I am not the planning or organizing type, and I was completely overwhelmed with everything that needed to be completed, so Ashley and Poppati took care of everything! The only thing I had booked at that time was a photographer, and they not only found all of our vendors, communicated with them, negotiated discounts, but they kept us in the loop as much or as little as we wanted. Aside from taking care of all the logistics, Ashley is so TALENTED and made our wedding the most unique day! Samantha Joy Hart: I cant praise Poppati events enough. Honestly they are a five start team. Being a 2020 Bride was one of the most challenging experiences. We had to change our date 2x and with all of the rules and restrictions Ashley and her team had to basically start from scratch several times. My wedding wouldn't have happened with out all of her help and expertise. She stayed up to date on all the rules and kept us informed and still pulled off the wedding of my dreams. My caterer dropped a month out from our wedding and Ashley was able to secure a new one at an even better rate for us with no issue. The day of our wedding it was so windy and there were challenges with the set up but I never knew because her team handled it and my day was amazing. If you are looking for a wedding or party planner Poppati is the best. Highly recommend!

We worked with them on design, florals, and day-of coordination, and for almost a year, answered every question I had and kept me calm and confident my wedding would happen even as I planned in the midst of COVID. The final day was exactly the wedding I wanted - they completely brought it to life.Specifically, Rachael and Shaley, our floral designer and head designer, made our wedding absolutely stunning. It was exactly what we pictured when we first started planning but also somehow better?! The florals were incredible and every detail was so beautiful and unique and cool. When we got our photos back, we just marveled again at how well everything came together. Shaley did our initial design and connected us with all the vendors to make it happen, and Rachael took that initial design and ran with it in her final florals.We also worked with Calley for our day-of coordination, and she made sure everything went amazingly smoothly. She was somehow invisible but everywhere during the night! She made sure everything ran on time, looked great, and even that my husband and I got to eat all the food we wanted. Liz vM: Rick and Jenny were our photographers and videographers for our destination wedding and I am SO HAPPY we went with them. I wish we could have used them for DJ services too but our venue wanted us to use theirs obviously. The servers kept the buffet moving and were quick to clear plates or get what we needed. We were also able to order a la carte meals for our guests with specific dietary needs. There was plenty to go around. Affordable, professional and tasty.

Kelly Duncan: Day Block was the perfect venue for my daughters wedding. The space is just beautiful and was exactly what we were hoping for - the decorations fit perfectly. Chris was very accommodating and responsive. It was all so wonderful and magical - the memories we have are priceless.

Ty Ebert: Like most people sharing here, I was at the venue for a wedding. I moved out of downtown before this opened a while back and had only been downstairs for the pizza and music. The event spaces was well put together and appropriately sized for a 100 to 125 person wedding. There was room to get away from the dancing and chill on the balcony facing US Bank Stadium. As it happens, there was live music in the restaurant patio itself and we got to enjoy that too!The food was good and the staff seemed very responsive to moving tables around when it came time to dance and cleaning up the occasional spilled drink.

Laura Guzman: We used Day Block for our ceremony, reception, and used their bar services. We picked them primarily because they had an open catering and bar policy and the space is really naturally beautiful. Brittany was our main point of contact and she was responsive to our questions and helped us figure out different options to help the day go smoothly. We ended up renting their first floor auxiliary taproom to move people downstairs during dinner for a cocktail hour and it worked great! It was also really nice that they had tables and chairs we could use for free. The space is beautiful and much more affordable than similar spaces in Minneapolis. We did hire a day-of coordinator to help manage a lot of the details of the day and would recommend others do the same. Also, we were so glad we used their bar services! The selection was great and well priced and the bar tenders managed our rowdy crowd well!

Ashli Theis: Day Block provides a very “hands off” experience, which is what we were looking for. We were able to bring in our own caterer and bar and that saved us a lot of money. It is a stunning space and they allow you to make it your own. We were sold on all of its natural elements: brick walls, hardwood floors and natural lighting. We had about 125 guests and we all fit pretty comfortably. Their event manager Brittany was really lovely to work with – she was kind and quick to respond to all of our questions. Ethan, the person we worked with on the day of, was very helpful with all of our needs.

Stephen Anderson: One of my favorite venues to perform at! I’m a DJ with Complete Weddings and Events and whenever I’ve had an event here I’ve found the staff to be incredibly on top of it and flexible, and it’s a gorgeous space.

Hannah Rohlinger: Our wedding at FIVE was everything we imagined and more! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite part was it really speaks for itself, doesn’t need much added! It was important to us to have our wedding in the city. I still can’t believe how affordable FIVE is compared to other venue. Our guests and family loved it! We had 155 people and it was spacious for everyone. We truly could not have had such of a great wedding without Victoria, the venue coordinator. She was responsive and quick to answer all my questions! She went above beyond in every single aspect of the day. Anyone would be so lucky to have her there for their special day!

Victoria from the venue was so organized, helpful, and executed our plans perfectly... going above and beyond all day, even helping with some decor. This space is so beautiful, clean, and spacious. Bradley George: Bryant lake bowl pride block party, Minneapolis Pride on the Friday during pride week is a must. Crowd is alternate, fun, and there to have a good time! Local bands, djs and drag performers that are lined up to perform are local top talent. One of Minneapolis pride weekend best kept secret.

Demetra Williamson: The space has a main and second floor. There were big windows that let a lot of natural light it which was nice. They had family style restrooms upstairs and a men and womens on the main floor. There was a bar/sink area in the middle of the front of the upstairs area which could be great, unfortunately for the event I went to the middle bar made it a bit difficult for people on the other side of the room to seem what was going on. Overall great and I loved the giant mirror they had on the stair case landing.

I recently took part in a fashion show hosted at FIVE Event Center, and I was blown away by the beautiful space, the atmosphere they created there, and their wonderful venue manager Victoria. She was SO kind and helpful throughout the evening. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Every detail was taken care of perfectly.The management and staff are beyond friendly and the layout is perfect! The acoustics made the sound of my speakers. So delightful. I received two compliments about the quality of the sound.
