Excellent customer service: contacted the store when I discovered an issue with a record I had purchased when I returned home, which was quickly resolved when I received a replacement only a few days later. Looking forward to my next visit to EF!

Chad has been running this store for almost 30 years and he knows his art! He's a no nonsense type of guy, who I get but some don't because he cuts through all the BS that goes with the music industry, and will be honest about the fact that he needs to make a dollar too, in order to keep the doors open on his shop, that he loves! Anyway, he's always been fair with me, and even will throw you some great wisdom as far as buying gear, if you pay him the respect he deserves! Lastly he always has some sweet, old beautiful vintage guitars available for purchase, but dont expect to get them for free, as he knows the real market! Highly recommended!

Will P: Extreme Noise has been a cornerstone of the Twin Cities punk scene since 1994. This space has an announcement board with ads for musicians and artists of all types, tons of records, hoodies, shirts, some jewelry, and most importantly - hard to find books and zines!
Phil Hunt: I could go broke here. Unbelievable selection of punk and punk-adjacent music. Always tons of fun.
Jesse Talbot: I'm not someone who is into the punk scene if we're being real. However I love this place, every time I go here I find a mix of used and new vinyl that expands my horizons at a decent price. The staff are all amazing especially considering they're volunteering here.

A Sinclair: The reviews are absolutely right, this is the best guitar shop in the Twin Cities! The guys are all knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I don’t know a ton about electric guitars but had one repaired here to be sold later. They got it back in playing condition and sounding amazing within a few days at a very reasonable price. I asked if they’d be interested in purchasing the guitar and they were! I had very little info about the guitar, but they came up with what I felt like was a fair offer after they did some research. Even though I’m obviously a novice I felt like they treated me with respect and professionalism. I’d highly recommend El Diablo to anyone and I would absolutely do business with them again. Thanks guys!

Jacob Zimmerman: Purchased an isntrument from them online. The pics were exactly of the instrument I purchased and not stock photos. Shipping was reasonable price and timing with accurate updates. Product was packaged well and the shop did a phenomenal job getting it ready to ship and plays better than I could have hoped. I hope to visit the physical location next month and thank you folks in person.
Mike Merwin: on a favorite guitar but I was hesitant to bring it in because it's not exactly a pro-level guitar and I am not exactly a studio player. I asked for advice on what strings I should try from the very kind and helpful staff and went with their suggestion. When I picked up the guitar, I could not believe the amount of work that was clearly done. The fretboard looked better than the day I bought the guitar and I could immediately tell as I strummed it that I had left it in the hands of a professional. Money well spent at a fantastic guitar shop.
Nathan Gentry: I called Twin Town from beautiful, sunny Florida and spoke with AJ. I was all like “the internet said you guys have a left handed Epiphone ES 335 in a vintage burst. Is that true?” And AJ was all like “I believe we do have one of those but let me go look. Do you mind if I put you on a brief hold?” And I was like, “of course not”. So I waited on hold briefly while AJ ran to check and make sure Twin Town did in fact have a left handed Epiphone ES 335 in a vintage burst. I was concerned AJ would come back and tell me that no such guitar existed in his store. But when he came back to the phone he was all like “I do have one of those in stock”, so I bought it. AJ and the gang shipped my guitar out FAST too. I didn’t have to wait weeks to express myself through the majesty of song on my new left handed Epiphone ES 335 in vintage burst. Needless to say, I couldn’t be any happier with Twin Town or AJ’s service.

They have a pretty good collection, and you can pretty much find what you're looking for than if you went to a bigger store like Guitar Center. Alex Nelson: Love this store! Super helpful and welcoming. Love that they have two little "try out" rooms, where you can play guitars and pedals without worrying about bugging the people around you and you can tell if you like it or not. They have always been happy to let me try whatever guitar or pedal I've asked about. I've never felt like a burden to the sales staff, and I also haven't ever felt pressured into a purchase. They really just want to help you find your next favorite gear. Also a great place for lessons. I enjoy going to lots of guitar stores and this is my favorite in the Twin Cities.

Justin Bowling: Definitely one of the best music stores in the Twin Cities, and quite frankly one of the best I've ever been to in the country. Their selection is incredibly solid, from low priced cool stuff you've never seen before all the way up to very high end collectible vintage gear, and everything in between. Also, everyone that works here is super nice and friendly. I did a big trade with them the other day, and it was the easiest trade I have ever done. They are very transparent in how they work with trades. They look at the average sale price, and you get 70% of that. It's so close I was able to roughly gauge what my trade in would be, and then put together what I wanted to trade it in for before coming in and I was able to walk out with everything I wanted. Also, that 70/30 split on trade in's is by FAR the fairest and best trade value I have ever seen at a shop. It makes it worth it to just go here rather than sell online as the difference in what you get isn't really all that much compared to selling it yourself after you factor in the time it takes to sell an item online and the shipping costs.This place is definitely a 5 star shop. There's a reason it's been around and continues to be well known.

Alexander Dove Lempke: A beautiful space where instruments sound incredible, with all the conveniences you could want in a modern professional studio, including top-tier microphones and other gear. More importantly, Steve is a great engineer, attentive and passionate about making records. Wild Sound is a phenomenal place to record.

Chris Lee: I had written my wife a song that I wanted to record for Christmas. When I wrote it I had just written a few chords and some lyrics. I had an idea of what I wanted it to be....but not a direction. Josh was amazing. Not only is he an excellent producer....but his vision on how to shape my song was amazing. It couldn't of turned out any better. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to record for whatever reason.

Todd Harper: I have been working with Steve for many years. It's superb ! The grand piano is prime: well- maintained., the rooms designed well with sightlines. Or, if you want to record everyone in the same room, that works too. Wild Sound has excellent equipment. Steve works with many genres of music, and he brings his experience to each session. For an intimate, pure,sound, this is the place to go.

Alex Marschner: Recording at Wild Sound is a great experience. It is a nicely appointed space and easily handled our group of 16 vocalists. The space is amazingly flexible, with several isolation partitions. This is our second year recording there; the resulting CD last year was fantastic.

Liz Crandall: I think they do a great job of booking awesome performers here. When I see a musician I adore is coming to town, this is the place that booked them. I know I can always look at their line up for great shows. They could do a bit more to revamp the old movie theatre setting and make the environment a bit more fun. I would add that while I was injured and using crutches, the staff were extremely accommodating and made sure I had elevator access all night long - I really appreciated this. On two visits they did this for me and were very patient and helpful about it, even if I just wanted to step out to smoke. Always amazing music and great performances here.

Luis R: First of all, the name is amazing! It was one of the best stops we made in Minneapolis. Great use of the space, very clean and well organized. The customer service was fantastic. There was a wonderful selection of records. They had steals in the sales section. We probably bought more than what we expected.

Michael Sullivan: This place is a gem. They moved from 48th and Chicago a while back and the space is bright and airy. Records, new and used take up about a third of the shop. Clothing, cards, jewelry and a mish mash of other items combine to create an excellent bohemian boutique. Visit often.

I’ve taken several of their art classes and also had my sons art class birthday party here. So happy to have a this awesome little shop in my neighborhood. These guys don't just hit record for you... they adopt your songs and finesse them as if they were their own.
Kyle Steen: We in Perfume Monster have had the pleasure of working with Lance at Humans Win and it has been a great collaboration. It's stressful going in to a studio environment but know you'll be in good hands at humans win.
