Klash Drums LLC: what do users think?

Richard Lee Schwinden: I took some drum equipment to sell, Jeremy was more than fair for what he offered. He also helped me with my Van door. If you need drums, you need KLASH and Tell 'Em The Zerr0 set ya.

jimmy lyback: If you are in search of an exceptional drum shop, Klash is the place to go. They have a vast selection of high-quality drums and percussion instruments perfect for both beginners and professionals. Besides, their guitar lesson programs are equally impressive, offering comprehensive training in various styles of music. At Klash, you can find everything from drumsticks and cymbals to drum sets, snare drums, and electronic drums. They have a team of knowledgeable and experienced staff who are always willing to help you find what you need.Whether you're starting out or looking to upgrade your drumming skills, Klash has got you covered. They offer a range of drum and guitar lesson programs designed to cater to different skill levels and music styles.I recently bought a tambourine from them, and the quality was superb. You can check out their new location on 40th and Central in Columbia Heights. It's a spacious and well-lit shop with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Alan: Terrific drum store. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced and awesome customer service. Don’t need to know anything about drums to walk out with what you need.

Bob Locke: Fantastic drum shop. Helpful and very knowledgeable staff. Really amazing cymbal room, great lessons program, and really cool events bringing in some awesome talent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mark Chapman: A store for drummers by drummers. The staff I've dealt with love their craft, know their stuff and never put on any pressure to buy and I've never felt dumb asking simple questions

Alec Floyd: I live in Atlanta but purchased a ride cymbal from them because they had the best price I could find, after about a month the cymbal cracked and I reached out about the warranty since meinl has you go through the dealer and it was a seamless process, and they were very helpful and responsive during the entire process, I wish we had shops like this in Atlanta

Hellaenergy: Awesome staff

Michelle Mercado: Talented and patient staff. Our son loves going here for lessons.

Daniel Johnson: I took drumkit lessons with Adam for about 6 months, in 2021/22.I have been playing drums for almost 30 years, starting with jazz band in 6th-9th grades. Since then I have had a few different drumkit instructors. Adam stands out for his insight, knowledge, and experience, and also his easy-going vibe. I learned something new each lesson.Highly recommended! Klash is pretty good too.

J Jo: I had my first ever lesson and Adam was so kind and patient! Everyone in the shop was super nice and the cats were an added bonus!!

Daniel Hunter: I wanted to re-express my gratitude for y'all working with me to ship a drum set to Alaska. I know it was a pain, but I'm so grateful! It was securely packed with all hardware perfectly organized. Thank you!

Carey Nadeau: Great stuff!!! Well worth a trip!!

Naomi Swanson: Great service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Glad we found a good local shop to get a set of drums.

Samuel Stroup: Hands down my favorite drum shop. I’ve come countless times looking for specific little lugs and tension rods and the klash guys always find the stuff I need. Super generous with trade ins and store credit. Great cymbal selection and hardware. It’s the Home Depot of used drum shops

Twin Town Guitars: what do users think?

Jacob Zimmerman: Purchased an isntrument from them online. The pics were exactly of the instrument I purchased and not stock photos. Shipping was reasonable price and timing with accurate updates. Product was packaged well and the shop did a phenomenal job getting it ready to ship and plays better than I could have hoped. I hope to visit the physical location next month and thank you folks in person.

Mike Merwin: on a favorite guitar but I was hesitant to bring it in because it's not exactly a pro-level guitar and I am not exactly a studio player. I asked for advice on what strings I should try from the very kind and helpful staff and went with their suggestion. When I picked up the guitar, I could not believe the amount of work that was clearly done. The fretboard looked better than the day I bought the guitar and I could immediately tell as I strummed it that I had left it in the hands of a professional. Money well spent at a fantastic guitar shop.

Nathan Gentry: I called Twin Town from beautiful, sunny Florida and spoke with AJ. I was all like “the internet said you guys have a left handed Epiphone ES 335 in a vintage burst. Is that true?” And AJ was all like “I believe we do have one of those but let me go look. Do you mind if I put you on a brief hold?” And I was like, “of course not”. So I waited on hold briefly while AJ ran to check and make sure Twin Town did in fact have a left handed Epiphone ES 335 in a vintage burst. I was concerned AJ would come back and tell me that no such guitar existed in his store. But when he came back to the phone he was all like “I do have one of those in stock”, so I bought it. AJ and the gang shipped my guitar out FAST too. I didn’t have to wait weeks to express myself through the majesty of song on my new left handed Epiphone ES 335 in vintage burst. Needless to say, I couldn’t be any happier with Twin Town or AJ’s service.

richard traxler: Great shop, great teachers, well managed, fun place, better than the strip mall stores.

Robert Wicklander: Best guitar store I’ve ever been to. Cole was awesome in helping me get back into playing after a couple year break! Super knowledgeable and super nice. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This is where I’ll be going for anything guitar related. Thanks guys!

Josephine Morris: I got my first bass from Twin Town Guitars. I went in looking for a bass guitar, and was instantly greeted with friendly and informative staff. They have a pretty good collection, and you can pretty much find what you're looking for than if you went to a bigger store like Guitar Center. I love supporting local businesses, and this is one to definitely support!

Chris Dewar: Bought a lefty Taylor classical guitar from out of state that I couldn't find anywhere else. Haven't visited the store but had great experience and highly recommend!

Rich Rue: Great music store! 👍🎶

Kelly Cook: Great music resources

Alex Nelson: Love this store! Super helpful and welcoming. Love that they have two little "try out" rooms, where you can play guitars and pedals without worrying about bugging the people around you and you can tell if you like it or not. They have always been happy to let me try whatever guitar or pedal I've asked about. I've never felt like a burden to the sales staff, and I also haven't ever felt pressured into a purchase. They really just want to help you find your next favorite gear. Also a great place for lessons. I enjoy going to lots of guitar stores and this is my favorite in the Twin Cities.

Paula Buendorf: Wow! We had a great experience here and learned so much as new guitar owners. Great customer service...knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. Thank you, Asa!

Matthew Pagel: Always friendly and helpful!

Mark McCubbin: The staff at Twin Town are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly and their product selection is great. Support your local shops like this. They can't be replaced by the internet!

Justin Bowling: Definitely one of the best music stores in the Twin Cities, and quite frankly one of the best I've ever been to in the country. Their selection is incredibly solid, from low priced cool stuff you've never seen before all the way up to very high end collectible vintage gear, and everything in between. Also, everyone that works here is super nice and friendly. I did a big trade with them the other day, and it was the easiest trade I have ever done. They are very transparent in how they work with trades. They look at the average sale price, and you get 70% of that. It's so close I was able to roughly gauge what my trade in would be, and then put together what I wanted to trade it in for before coming in and I was able to walk out with everything I wanted. Also, that 70/30 split on trade in's is by FAR the fairest and best trade value I have ever seen at a shop. It makes it worth it to just go here rather than sell online as the difference in what you get isn't really all that much compared to selling it yourself after you factor in the time it takes to sell an item online and the shipping costs. This place is definitely a 5 star shop. There's a reason it's been around and continues to be well known.

Beth Schraeder: I’ve really enjoyed playing keyboards in bands at the School of Rock-St Paul. The band leaders have been fun, helpful and talented Each session has had a good selection of music to choose from. The band members have been fun to play music with.

Keith White: . It is SO much fun!!!

Allisen merrill: This is an excellent place! The staff here are AMAZING! We love everyone here and are so thankful for the support and patience they all bring to every session.

Angela Tillges: We love the welcoming and easy-going culture of the school. The instructors are excellent at their craft and so fun to learn from. The group shows are a positive motivator for practicing and advancing to the next class level. The SoR is a great way for my daughter to begin her musical journey.

Dena Hinkle: School of Rock is a wonderful place for lessons. The instructors are engaging, fun and enthusiastic about what they teach - my daughter LOVES going.

Annie Pezalla: My kids love School of Rock, so we do, too. The teachers are all wonderful, funny, and talented. The best part: when our kids come home from lessons, they immediately go to our piano or keyboard to play music they just learned.

Christine Swenning: Attending music matters luncheon with family

Mischa Ortega May: I have had piano here for 9 years and the atmosphere and teachers are all super nice.

Arianna Xu: Ive been going here for 8+ years it has been pretty good

Alyssa Joye: My experience with MacPhail was nothing but amazing. My voice teacher, Thomas Speckhard was the best. I had to pause my voice lessons because of school, but I hope to return again once my schedule is more manageable. I learned so much about voice and singing from teacher Tom, and I appreciate his approach for an aspiring-frustrated singer like myself. Lol. He is the best! Thank you, MacPhail.

Debbie Willoughby: Today my granddaughter won a panio. A true blessing for us. We met the people who donated the piano such a blessing. My granddaughter was able to play for them.A bless day.A beautiful school. Thank you to the staff.

Twin Cities Drum Collective: what do users think?

Adam Peterson: and re-rings! The kit sounds like a freight train and weighs a LOT less than I was expecting. Aside from the quality of the nose-to-toes custom job

Brett Lobben: The drum shop of all drum shops! Whether it is getting work done on my own drums, picking up something new, or just stopping in to hang, TC/DC always delivers. And the 651 drums…amazing. My 651 fire-painted copper snare is one of the most versatile drums I’ve ever owned. Whatever the need, TC/DC always makes it happen. The Twin Cities drumming community is lucky to have TC/DC!

Jon Lindquist: TCDC is the best drum shop in the cities. Lane and his team are so helpful and supportive. Anytime I’m in a pinch they have helped beyond what I could’ve hoped for and continuously provide excellent service for the local drumming community. TCDC forever!!

Andy Erickson-Peterson: TCDC is the best shop around. The kindest and most knowledgeable staff of any shop around. It’s my go to place if I need a part, a new snare, want to try the latest cymbals or even to order a custom drum kit! Yes! They make drums with local wood and local parts. It’s a real drummers shop. Stop by, you won’t walk away disappointed. If you do, message me and we’ll talk about it 😂I bought my fav snares there, one of them pictured here: 651 maple snare with Birdseye yellow finish.

Jeni Margules: I have a 4 year old who loves Metallica and was interested in learning to play the drums. I was at a loss as to where to take him where he could bang on some to his heart's content and see if it was something worth pursuing. This shop is TRULY phenomenal. We were welcomed with open arms, shown to a tiny drum kit that fit him perfectly and basically left alone to be as loud as we wanted to be for as long as we chose to be there. Then they helped us pick out a kit to consider, gave us a screaming deal, helped with setting up lessons, and gave a brief concert. I cannot express how grateful and pleased I am to have stumbled into this shop.

Frederick The Planespotter: Awesome drum store! Lots of cool musical items and cool merch! Very friendly staff! Love it! Recommended!

Jon Peterson: This is a great shop. For drums, go here first.

Tom Mandery: Always helpful and they have the most unique gear in the metro for you to find your own sound

Josh Nelson: Very cool place with all things acoustic drums! Vintage and new

Tyson Conn: Got it in my head to get a couple my bass drums cut down to a more manageable size and knew a few drummers in town who spoke very highly of TCDC. They did not disappoint! They answered all of my questions, held onto the drums for some extra time until I could get to The Cities to pick them up and they even let my wife charge her phone while we were finalizing the plan! Daryle did an awesome job cutting the kicks down to 14x22 and the bearing edges have never looked better! The staff is very knowledgeable and I'm very sure that if I didn't live 4-5 hours away I'd be in there every week bothering them with stupid questions and looking at all the drums! Thanks again everyone for a wonderful experience! You're definitely at the top of my recommendations list!

Damon Cuccia: I collect Rogers drum equipment and I once found a Rogers Memriloc cymbal stand here and they gave me an excellent deal on it. And I've always been able to find the drum head that I need here. They also found exactly the right soft shell bass drum case that I needed which I couldn't find anywhere else.

Brent Cornelius (YukonCornelius): Unbelievable people to work with! They were knowledgeable, welcoming, and always ensuring you're getting the best of the best when it comes to custom sounding drums. Boy did they deliver! I would highly recommend working with them for any custom ideas you have drummed up in that brain bucket of yours. You'll truly get what you pay for and then some! Not only does it look great with the kit, the sound is so true and so beautiful even my staunch guitar player takes a moment and says how great it sounds on the playbacks. Thank you TCDC! Can't wait for our next endeavor

Tony B: Hands down the best drum place in MN. Even fixed my hi hat stand. Very kind and informal people there. Good honest humans.

Ben Nylen: My experience at TCDC has been 100% positive. Kelly took the time to help me buy the cymbal *I* wanted to buy, not the one *HE* wanted to sell me, if you catch my drift. Good people. If you are a drummer who has been put off by your experience at other shops, ignored or talked down to, give TCDC a try, you won't be disappointed!

Isaac Schmidt: These guys rule. I'm missing a piece of hardware on my old Acrolite so I have to use snare string to hold the snare wire in place. Not ideal. I walked in looking for string and they just happened to have the obscure piece of hardware I needed laying on the front desk. BAM. They kindly hooked me up with what I need to fix my drum and some homemade snare straps. Top-notch dudes in a top-notch drum shop!

M Seitz: This place is awesome! Lots of quality drums and cymbals and Kelly is very kind and helpful. I’ll be a return customer for sure.

Tim Coffey: What a great experience! 20x16 cut down to a 20x12 and could not be happier! Thanks, Kelly!

Muse Jama: I am very happy with the response I got from Schmitt Music. My equipment is on the way

David Mazzola: I had no clue what I needed for my daughter's band class and bass but they treated me very good and were very patient. До сих пор у нас не было никаких проблем с нашим инструментом, но если они возникнут, я уверен, что Шмитт сразу же придет на помощь.

Todd Trainer Drumming Instruction: what do users think?

Henry Vlietstra: Thanks to Todd Trainer's instruction I've gone from clueless behind the kit to a confident and capable drummer. He doesn't just teach technical skill, he gives you the tools to explore and develop your own taste and style in playing the drums. I leave each lesson inspired and motivated to create. I can't imagine a better drumming education than the one Todd offers.

Jason Nunez: Todd is a true original. He has a great facility for clarity as an educator and musician. I’ve been playing for over 27 years myself and Todd was more than generous in sharing new concepts and approaches to continue to increase my vocabulary and proficiency as a percussionist. Regardless of your skill level at drums, Todd has a real gift and is eager and enthusiastic to share his knowledge and vast experience. I left my lesson inspired and enthusiastic to apply what I’ve learned. I’d highly suggest lessons with him - either in person or virtual.

E K: ! Todd gives a great grounding in rudiments, fills, beats… gradually and patiently building complexity from lesson to lesson, and clearly demonstrating how all of the different elements work together. He makes each lesson fun and really encourages and supports living a creative life. Todd is generous with his time and enthusiasm, and with gear advice too. Everyone of all ages should take lessons with Todd immediately!

Michael Romay: I've been taking lessons online with Todd for the past two years and I've got to say, I have never thought I would be at this level of drumming ever in my life! On top of being a thoughtful, caring person who is great to chat with, Todd is a powerful drumming force that is rare in this world. He keeps track of our lessons so each new lesson builds on the last and encourages his students to find their own drumming path. His goal being that you're not just trying to imitate a drummer that inspires you, but that you find your own unique drumming path that perhaps allows you to inspire others. I cannot recommend his lessons enough! Stop reading this and book a lesson today, you will not regret it!

margo dean geffen: Our 16 year old has been taking lessons from Todd for four years. Todd is an excellent teacher both technically and personally. Drumming has become an integral part of our teen’s life thanks to Todd!

Bucky Fisk: Todd has gotten me doing what I never thought possible, especially at 44 - playing drums! His patient, encouraging and methodical style of teaching has kept me going with this instrument longer than any other I've attempted, going on four years now. Even better, his mentorship has boosted my creativity in other areas of my life. Todd is a fantastic teacher and an excellent guy, and anyone would benefit from his tutelage, whether you're a kid in the 4th grade or a kid in your mid-40s. Go to Todd!

Samantha Walker: Todd does a wonderful job keeping my son excited about playing drums. Drum Lessons are the highlight of his week.

Jenny Knudson: Todd is a natural fit for our son and his drumming instruction has been fantastic! We were lucky to find him.

Laura Rinas: recommend him to anyone!

Kevin Lian-Anderson: Our 10-year old daughter, Charlotte, has been working with Todd coming up on two years now. She had no previous formal instruction in percussion and now- thanks to Todd - has a solid grasp of rhythmic fundamentals that provide the building blocks for further creativity. Both Charlotte and Todd let my wife and I have the privilege of sitting in on lessons and observing the interplay between teacher and student. Todd's immense talent, innovative approach, quick wit, and formidable patience are in evidence throughout and a testament to the skills he brings to working with youngsters and adults alike. Been pondering drum lessons for yourself or a loved one? Look no further. Todd's your guy!

Richard Webb: !

vanessa von bitter: The three best and most important things I’ve done in life no particular order-Become a nurse-Marry my husband-Take drum lessons from Todd

R Bisson: Our 7 year old son has been working with Todd for over a year now. We can't believe how lucky we are that we found him. Todd is an incredible drummer and is an even more incredible instructor. He went out of his way to build relationships and rapport with our son and our entire family. This is also evident in every exchange we witness with his other clients. Todd personalizes each of the lessons with our son to support his taste in music as well as teach foundational skills. Thank you, Todd!!!

Meta Webb: Todd is the most patient and passionate drum instructor you will find and I am blown away by his commitment to his students. He has been working with our son for over 2 years and it has been such a joy to watch Samuel continue to grow in his drumming. Todd knows how to individualize lessons to each student and figures out how to both challenge them and make them feel wonderful about what they are learning. I can't recommend Todd highly enough if you are looking for an amazing instructor.

Dylan Ritchie: Todd does a great job of working with you to develop your own style, filling in gaps of technique you might not even identify in your own playing, providing context for what makes a drum part great in a hit song, and always gives me something to entertain myself with as I practice on my own. His huge wealth of experience on stages and recordings is added bonus, the value of each lesson is far beyond the dollar or time commitment, recommended for any musician wanting to take the leap to improve. You'll be challenged but the rewards are great and its always fun and easy going.

Kristina Graber: to adults, he has a superb ability to draw out the drummer/musician in all of them. I consider these lessons more than just drumming...his time w his students are confidence-building and a catharsis for anyone who is looking for a stress outlet and creative means of expression. Todd draws out any discomfort and was able to calm performance anxiety and replace it with positivity and excitement to perform! He helps his students achieve and have fun while they create and honing a talent that might not have previously existed. Cheers to you, Todd. Money well spent. These skills are something my kids will have for a lifetime.

Laura Dizon: Todd is an exceptional drummer and instructor. He has been teaching my daughter for 2 years and it is amazing to see her progress. Todd is always patient and encouraging and my daughter looks forward to her lessons each week. I would highly recommend Todd as a drum instructor for drummers of all ages and abilities.

Twin Cities Music School: what do users think?

Adam Kay: Twin cities music works with all 3 of our boys. What I love most about TCMS is that each of my boys have varying interest levels in music. They meet each one of them where they are and keep the lessons fun and low pressure. They have a long view for music appreciation, and understand that not every kid needs to be a concert level performer. Ben has worked with my older sons from the start and has kept them engaged and enjoying the process from the start. I couldn’t recommend Kelly and Twin Cities Music school any more emphatically.

Shannon Langenfeld: Lessons are fun and engaging!! My child has learned a lot!

C R: Very impressed with this music school. They have helped my children blossom but have also kept them having fun, engaged and interested in learning music. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking.

Smart Axolotl: Good

Tracey Daniels: Staff are professional and work so well with the kids. They make it super fun to learn!

Jayna Paquin: My son loves taking guitar at TCMS! His instructor has him working on his favorite popular songs--that's really piqued his interest. He even performed at his school's "music share"--that's something I never expected from him. Scheduling is simple and when we ran into a conflict mid-quarter, TCMS moved his lesson time to something that worked for us. We highly recommend TCMS!!

Jeff Tidball: Phenomenal ownership, staff, and love of music. Very highest recommendation.

Shaun McClary: Our son started drum lessons with Ben about mid-way into the pandemic. Classes were virtual and surprisingly good. I had my doubts but Ben's skills and relatability were not dependent on in-person sessions. We've now transitioned to in-person but TCMS has kept virtual classes an option for all students. The flexibility is great and this organization is run very well.

Mary Brooks: So happy we found Twin Cities Music School! Sam is wonderful with our little girl and has fed her passion for music! I would recommend this school and any of its instructors.

Joe Warner: What a great school! My kids were given a gift certificate for music lessons at this school and it is awesome! The instructors are kind and patient, they teach everything from guitars and drums to studio engineering, and they seem to be supremely knowledgeable from top to bottom. The space is about perfect! In the waiting room alone they have video games and toys to keep the kids happy, a sweet baby grand piano, and even art on the walls for us bigger kids. We are going to purchase the rest of the lessons to complete the session as it is a great value. Twin Cities Music School is truly a gem, my kids had a blast!

The Spencer House: My daughter takes piano with Kelly and voice with Brooke. She looks forward to her lessons every week and loves her teachers. Thanks for instilling a love of music in these young minds.

Kim Gartner: Our little one had such a fun, first experience learning music with Kelly! Kelly did a great job keeping our son engaged using a variety of instruments and techniques. So happy we started our music lesson journey on the right foot! Thanks TCMS!

Sarah Lehmeier: My 10 yr old daughter absolutely loves her piano lessons with Kelly. He is patient, kind, and super fun! It is obvious that he loves what he does. Thank you Twin Cities Music School!

Darcie White: My son has been a student of Kelly's for fifteen years and still loves seeing him each week!

Mark Gilbert: My son has been taking lessons with Adam at Twin Cities Music School for years. He loves his lessons, and has learned a lot. Teachers Adam and Kelly are both awesome with kids and awesome music teachers. The sign-up process is also well-run and efficient.

Kristin Lawson: Very friendly! The teachers are also very responsive to what the kids are interested in playing, which makes my son excited to play.

AJ Burger Sánchez: This is an excellent music school. It's small. The teachers are warm, friendly, patient and encouraging, and can creditably teach several instruments, which allows your student to bond and stay with one instructor, if you choose. My 7 yo and I have both taken lessons with Kelly and he's great working with different age groups, ability levels, and learning styles. We highly recommend TCMS!

Mike Holden: My son has been seeing Adam since they were at Swift Music. Adam is an amazing instructor and TCMS has gotten everything right that Swift couldn't. The communication is always great and their new setup is awesome.

The Music Lab: what do users think?

Aaron Ziegler: Great local music school providing lessons in virtually any instrument and for all ages. Very reasonably priced. Very happy they are in the neighborhood!

David Daily: I've been taking piano lessons with Josie Just at the Music Lab for a few months now and I couldn't be happier. As someone who is hoping to learn to play the piano later in life, I greatly appreciate Josie's style of teaching. She is patient, comforting, easy to communicate with and extremely knowledgable. I look forward to my lessons each week and I'm getting ready for my first "concert," which consists of playing holiday music for my family this year. Highly recommended! Be sure to reach out to Josie directly with any questions -- she is the owner/operator of the Music Lab and can help align you with the appropriate teacher for your preferred instrument and goals.

andrea eastman: Great space, awesome people!

Dave Hoenack: Highly recommended!

Laura Hoenack: The Music Lab is wonderful! Both of my children have taken lessons, the teaching staff is superb.

G. j. Reiny: Finally a fun, safe and super affordable space for learning. Their community is one of a kind. My kids love their classes Especially interacting with professional artists that they have seen on stage and on TV.
