Lisa Carmichael: Friendly service. Wanted to purchase a pair of neoprene gloves because I really like my neoprene boots. I purchased the 5mm. I think I may eventually buy the gloves which are 7mm. Good store. Good experience. All three of my kids went to the swim school years ago and had a GREAT experience.
K OBrien: I had a great experience here. John was helpful in getting me appropriately outfitted and not pushing unnecessary things. He was also great answering tons of questions from my husband who was at a different stage. Steve was a great teacher and got our group of 7 ready for our open water tests. The schedule was very flexible and I fit everything in right before I took a trip. Now after 4 open water dives in St. Kitts I'm certified! Scuba Center also sets up trips and I am definitely going to check out that offering. My husband and I are total converts!! Thanks Steve!

Lindsay Trumble: Everyone is so helpful and nice. Never have I felt embarrassed for asking what might be a dumb question. Felt super safe with every dive. Each employee goes out of their way to help you and as far as letting you borrow their own equipment. Its hard to find a hobby where the experienced individuals do not judge or belittle the newbies like myself and it makes a huge difference in me coming back. Scuba Divers is a great community and it extends to the scuba center as well.

Todd Keating: I called a larger shop looking to get my Cressi regulator serviced. They told me no one in the Twin Cities Services Cressi. The next place told me it would be about $250 to do the job, if they had the time. Air Down There had a fair price and could have it done quickly. There was an issue with a broken part that is very hard to find. These guys found one. Couldn't be happier! Customer for life!
rhoarep (rhoarep): Great shop great staff. I have been using them for 2 years now for all my Scuba Regulator servicing. They work on Tusa Regs in house which has been a little tough to find.The staff even went the extra mile and helped me find the paperwork through Tusa for the free parts for life program.They have a good selection of Scuba and snorkeling gear in house. Prices are great as well. Hoping to book a dove trip with them in the future.
Ed Morales: I picked Air Down There as my first dive shop on a lark - it was simply the closest one to my work in St. Paul. I completed my OW and refresher courses with ADT, and the instructors have always been super excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They don't have their own pool, which I suppose is a bummer, but that's a luxury that requires a huge investment. Good folks who love diving.

Leah: We picked up some snorkel gear here before our trip to Turks and Caicos and so glad we did! Great quality and they answered all the questions we had. Our gear worked perfectly and allowed us to see some really awesome coral and sea life. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again for any snorkel/scuba needs.

This has been my fourth trip with them and it is hard to believe it keeps getting better and better! Owners/Organizers/Divers Jolene and Steve, again, ensured the trip for my husband and I was well-put-together and they communicated details thoughtfully and efficiently. Trip leader, Hannu, added extraordinary and authentic grace, while making sure we all were, and felt, taken care of. The resort-Little Cayman Beach Resort-was, quite frankly, the best I have stayed at. It was clean, quaint, and included top-notch food offerings. I can’t wait for our next trip to Palau!! I highly recommend AquaVenture Dive and Photo Center for all diving needs: travel, training, equipment.

My instructor Noel was very knowledgeable and had a lot of dives under his belt. I also feel comfortable going back just to ask questions about dives and about diving gears. I got my dive certification here and most of my scuba gears. I definitely recommend this place for new scuba divers and experienced divers. 👌

Curtis Hawkins: My wife and I went to a SCUBA refresher course as it has been a few years since we last dove. Michelle was wonderful to work with. She was patient and had lots of practical advise. In a very short time we were remembering everything as if our last dive was yesterday. The fun of diving also returned almost instantly. This class was so worth it and Michelle made it so easy.
Karen Duerr: Hannu was very thorough and patient. I was nervous at first, but Hannu made me feel comfortable with diving. I would highly recommend him to others!!
Sarah Spaeth: Wow! My oldest kid, 18 years old, felt very apprehensive about learning scuba. He desperately wanted to be able to do it, but had many fears surrounding actually accomplishing it.He attempted a group class with an excellent and highly competent instructor at Aquaventure but it did not go well. He really needed time to process each step and get a handle on each idea. The initial class went great for the other 3 members in our family who took it through aquaventure with Hanu. Couldn’t say enough great things about how it went for them all!I called Aquaventure after he flunked out and arranged for a 1:1 class with Noel. Although I was a bit worried that he’d further feel defeated and it’d be a waste of money, I was delighted to see what a great fit Noel was for him. He took the class painstakingly slow to accommodate my son. He never once got annoyed or frustrated by my son’s need to take things at a much slower than normal pace. He encouraged him and challenged him at a level he could handle. It took much longer than a typical student would need, but Noel kept the goal in mind and worked with him to get every goal met! It was a miracle! I am so thankful for how hard Noel worked to grow my son’s confidence and make scuba a future possibility for my son. I can’t say enough about how great he was to work with! And Hanu too, he got the rest of my crew certified quickly and they had an excellent experience! Would highly recommend both instructors for certification.My words of advice after this: just know what you need going into your certification to set everyone up for success.

Chris Love: My daughter and I got certified here. The experience and skills we learned here help when we had a gear failure today and my daughters weights prematurely released. I looked at 45 seconds after seeing her and she was gone. Being under weight she was pushed to the surface. She could see us looking for her. Two dive master scouring the ocean. Midwest prepared is for this situation and I searched for 1 minute and started to ascend. As I get closer I see her waving at me. So proud of her and thanks for the skills Midwest!

He accommodated my schedule to get certified, he was efficient, he worked quickly, he was detail oriented and I was able to complete all of my dives for certification in just a couple days. On top of that, he gave me extremely competitive prices on a complete set of diving gear, along with several freebies thrown in. I'm as satisfied as it is possible for a customer to be.
rhoarep (rhoarep): Probably one of my favorite dive shops in the twin cities area. Scott and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. If scott wasnt sure in a price or didnt have an item he would look into and get back to me sometimes in the same day. They are also very flexible for scheduling. I once needed a drysuit for a dive during the winter when they are only open on weekends. They called me back and were will to meet me on my schedule.
Mitch Mees: Scott was awesome and flexible with my schedule as well as my buddy who got certified with me. We both work weird schedules but over the course of 2-3 weeks Scott was able to get our classroom, pool time, and certification dives done for SSI. Cant wait for next spring to continue my dive education. He also has all the gear, and rents it out if you want to try different gear before you buy.
