My computer is still in working order, but even if it stopped working, I know where to get it fixed.5 stars because I don't think I ever been concerned about a store being still in business more than this one.

Steven Mosborg: Had a very positive experience with Keith, the business owner at Strike Twice Computers in St. Louis Park, MN. I had attempted to clone and install a new 4T internal drive on my Dell XPS computer myself, but could not get it to reboot properly. After I filled out an online Strike Twice Computers' service form, Keith called promptly and provided a quote. He also stated that there was a chance my laptop may have a 2T internal drive limit, but that he would give it a try and only charge me the minimum service fee if unsuccessful. Well sure enough, he got it to work and replaced my old internal drive with a larger gently-used one no charge that I can now use as an external drive . Keith has been in business for 36 years and at his current location for 26 of those years. Thank you, Keith. Give Strike Twice Computers a try. Always a thrill to support local businesses.
Steve B: Very professional, clear and takes pride in his work. We had a busted gaming computer with a bad motherboard. Due to the Lenovo issues, Keith helped rebuild a new computer. He worked with us through the glitches of our old system, relentless to get it right...and he did. He is clear on his game plan and pricing , fair and very very thorough. David Ross: is great. He is technically excellent, has people skills, and an understanding of what each customer may want and need based on how they use computers. I'm a physician who does some work from home, I also have a consulting business; no need for gaming etc. Keith set me up perfectly on a used/refurb machine far more capable than the old one I left him. All important data was transferred to the new machine, despite the old machine being basically dead. I also have my old drive to back up data, just in case. Go see Keith at strike twice, you won't be disappointed.

Their employees are knowledgeable and friendly.I went in this past Saturday afternoon. because the charging cord had broken off inside the charging port of our iPad. Paul went above and beyond to get the thing out! Replacing the whole port was more than the iPad was worth and about half the cost of a brand new one. Paul was game to try digging it out with his tools and worked on it for over an hour. There was a chance the port could be damage while he was working on it, but he successfully removed the piece without damage. Very thankful for his persistence! Device Pitstop is our first stop for repairs.

Jon Arnold: I brought my computer in due to it continually shutting down due to what it said was a power surge. It turned out that it had been over heating and the motherboard was fried. In the process of the investigation he also found out that my hard drive was in the process of becoming corrupted.He didn't have anything in stock that could replace what I had but he helped me shop online to find the cheapest solution for me and then transferred everything from my corrupted hard drive to the new computer.Everything is working great now and if he hadn't have gone above and beyond I probably would have ended up losing data from my corrupted hard drive.I would absolutely recommend Orphan Computers and will be coming back for any additional needs in the future. It's hard to find someone who values building a relationship with their customers like Orphan Computers does.

Joy Smallfield: with bad screen we haven't used in a year or so. Owner of Orphan was courteous and helped us out on the spot. One hour later computer is fixed, trouble shooting we can do on our own learned for the future. Also, baby computer diagnosed, part ordered...being fixed. All this for around $100. I would highly suggest giving this local business a try. When you go to the big guys they have a set list of prices so there is little room for assessing the situation independently. They showed persistence, patience and tenacity in diagnosing and fixing my PC. I was initially having major boot issues with my Dell Inspiron, which they believed to be an issue with hard drive, and had it replaced. After picking it up, the crashes continued and I had to bring it back in. There was a bit of back in forth as they solved the problem over the course of a few days. I say this to highlight their perseverance in solving the issue, as well as the manner in which they conducted themselves. Every time I came in they had a smile on their faces and spoke to me in a candidly professional manner. They went over and above for me and I am so thankful. With that, I’d rate them 5/5 any day. If you treat them right, and are patient, they’ll match that energy.

Mark met me at the door and it was a quick and smooth process! He helped me unload and carry the items in and was very professional! A non-profit organization helping its community with affordable devices and learning opportunities is always a good business.This business is strictly volunteering workers who donate their time to fixing devices for the less fortunate. If you have a problem with this place, then you're probably a local competitor who doesn't like the fact that people can get the same quality of products for an extremely low price.Or you're someone who only buys brand-new products and doesn't realize there are better options for less. Just because you have the money doesn't mean other people do. So don't look down on a business that I know is good for the community just because that business doesn't meet your needs.
