Minneapolis Northwest KOA Journey: what do users think?

Maddie Kapalko: We stopped at here for the night after traveling about 15 hours from Ohio. It was our first RV and campground experience and everything was really nice! The people were very friendly and showed us our spot for the night. The campground was quiet and clean, with full hookups. It was a little ways off the highway but not too far. The perfect place to stop for the night. I would highly recommend!

Pamela Rollins: Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value

Fred Flintstone: The campground is immaculately maintained. The owner/operators are very caring and customer oriented people. The stars are spaced nicely. Excellent amenities and close, but not too close access to highway 94 make this an excellent destination for just one night or for weeks at a time. This is a campground, there are no "rooms" in a motel sense. They do have a couple kamping kabins you can rent, but this review is hard to fit into a motel review framework.

Melissa Nealey: It is a nice quiet campground. The pool is nice and the laundry facilities are clean.Location: 5/5 …

Changing Course: We camped in our RV. They had full hookups and they kept the park very clean . It was also affordable.

Ellen Smatlak: . I don't know about ALL the campsites, but ours had 50-amp electric and both fresh water and sewer connections.Location: 5/5 …

Rich Close: This is a nice campground for RV’s if you get a site that’s paved with full hook ups. Everything is clean and well maintained, logs of grass. The campground is part of a huge park network with logs of hiking and biking trails. It’s also convenient to Mall of America if that’s one of your stops.

Tim Javurek: Lebonon hills campground was very nice, well kept. The bathrooms were the among cleanest we've seen.Thank you Lebanon Hills "We'll be back".........

Jeff Galbraith: Will definitely be on our list of parks to return to. Family in the area and this was ideal lication for us. Great back in sites with picnic tables, fire rings and plenty of shade on a lot of sites.Update 05/04/24: so nice we had to come and stay for a few more nights while we passed through.Playground: Beaitiful new playground that i think any kid would love to play on.Restrooms: Very clean and spacious.Dog-friendliness: Love all the trails for the dogs. Plenty of area for them to get their smells in.Picnic area: Well maintained. Grass mowed. Lots of picnic tables and some grills.

B Halverson: This is a beautiful campground and park with well-maintained trails and facilities

Jason Fleck: We had a group camping outing with 5 families. 4 of us rented cabins 1 family used a tent site. The campground is beautiful and well taken care of. The cabins are awesome. We look forward to staying here again.Playground: Well taken care of, and the kids had a great time playing on the wide variety of equipment.Restrooms: Cleaner and in better condition than I would have expected at a campground this busy.

Gary Nelson: Super nice Campground and facilities. Only complaint is that the showers are set quite cool.

Tom: A great metro area Campground. Plenty of shade trees, nice grass lawn, very quiet during our Sun-Fri stay. Great bike trails from the campground to Luce Line and Lake Independece trails. Restrooms were clean and modern. We will come back.

Town & Country RV Park and Campground: what do users think?

Stiles Bliss: This campground is nestled in a sleepy little nook of the Twin Cities. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They offered to guide me through setting up my camper as this is my first one and I had no idea what I was doing. Very quiet and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for.Nearby activities: Very close to plenty of restaurants, activities, and stores.

D Banks: Chilling with my twin 🤞🏾💕🤘🏾🔥☺️😊Location: 5/5 …

Carrie Chanudet: will miss T&C greatly! It’s a great place with good people, nice amenities and fun location. It’s a very family oriented community & we felt very welcomed and hugely supported during some trying times this past year. The Work camper group is a great team and offered good incentives to help maintain the campgrounds. We were proud to be a part of it and so grateful for our time here. We made many good friends and wonderful memories that we will keep always. The Olmstead family now feels like an extension of our own & Hope

Lori Robinson: We came in late may for a family situation, I can't express the gratitude that we have.. we were treated with great hospitality, very concerned about our situation. Should us to our site, and were more than expected to help out.. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Minneapolis area.. we were close to grocery stores.. this was a very friendly family place to stay.. for sure we will be back..

Heidi Hart: Town & Country Campground is certainly a wonderful warm and inviting place to camp and vacation. If RV camping is your thing this is a great place to call home for a while. My kids and I had reservations for a 3 night stay and had to pull out a day earlier, do to rain. We car and tent camped at two great suites on the property. We were definitely sad to have to pull out early. We will definitely be visiting again next season. The staff are very friendly and the service they provide to their guests is top notch. The resort has a office with on site little shop for snacks and things, Wi-Fi, a pool, park for the kiddos, the grounds are beautiful, recreation center, laundry facilities, bathrooms with showers, fire pit patio, storm shelter... I am sure I am forgetting something. Everything is immaculate. This is truly a 5 star home away from home!Thank you, Town and Country Campground for your hospitality!See you next year!!! ❤️🙏Sincerely,Heidi Hart

Katie Stein: seasonal spots, and I bet it would be fun

Dee Worrall: The rv site we had was great with plenty of space for our dog. Lots of tree coverage helped keep the temperature moderate in the rv. The office staff is helpful and very friendly! I saw the reviews on the tight campsites and was concerned, but it was more spacious than several other campsites we've been to. The driving could be tight in spots, but just go slow. There is a walking path you can access from the nw corner of the park. There is also a decent restaurant within walking distance and a brewery as well.Good kayaking on Clearly lake, about 8.5 miles away. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the area. When we are back this direction, we will definitely stay here!Nearby activities: Walking paths and kayaking near by

Lisa Steiner: there are only two showers so you might have to wait a bit…and lots of Moskitos in the evening.Hotel highlights Great value …

Dennis Friesz: Not far to the Mall of America or Valley Fair. The kids loved the game room.Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …

Scott T.: . Laundry area looked nice but we did not use it. Friendly staff and great location for us; Valley fair- 3 miles away / State Fair 32 minutes away / Renaissance Fair- 12 miles away. Lastly, good water and proper working hook-ups. Will return again. A+

Chuck s: We had the most fun here than any other campgrounds we have ever been to. The other repete campers from Canada and from out of state are awesome as well.Nearby activities: Great hiking trails and can walk to nearby places for a cold beer if you desire

AEVHS Dr. J Virtual Consults (AEVHS): One of my favorite RV parks close to the metro, family friendly and wonderful trails.Playground: Great to keep little ones busy, close to amphitheater trail, near shower/bathrooms in central parkDog-friendliness: Leashed dogs allowed

Marsh Jones (MNSwamp): Lake Elmo is a mountain bike trail for folks who aren't mountain bikers... This is old school "two track" mostly around the park perimeter. It does have a significant climb, but zero technical/single track - and that's perfectly ok!

Joey ORourke: Fall colors are amazing right now

Jim Pearsall: Great trails. Miles and Miles of trails.

Mississippi National River and Recreation Area: what do users think?

Brenda Shockey: Only have experienced the Omni Theater and it was pretty cool.

Andy Smith: The visitor center itself is really nice and has lots of information. There is a short walk down to the river, but the park here is no what I would call a recreation park. If you are exploring other parts of the MNR&RA then this is somewhere to visit as it has all the info about the park and the various sections and how to get to them. Its co-located with the science museum which is well worth a visit.

Rodney Tholen: Fun spot inside the Minnesota Science Museum building. No ticket needed.

Richard Erickson: Nice visitor center that is part of a large museum.

Cam Kay: The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area Visitors Center is Awesome. Great Staff and tons of information. Check it out!

Amelia Liu: Nice little exhibit!

Edgar Ramirez: Parking is hard but man what a view!

Leira Snewo: First, the pictures arent the greatest of representation of this museum. In fact these pictures are extremely underwhelming. But to my main point of business. Anyone have a kid that is a PAIN to take anywhere? Or am I the only one? Everywhere I go, this kid just complains about everything & honestly, it's a drag. Nothing makes this kid happy. NOTHING. So after 5 minutes of forcing this kid into the museum, she ended up BEGGING me to not leave. She's a pre-teen btw. That's really important to add because I think the Childrens museum in Boston & Chattanooga are AMAZING. But those are great for tiny kids. MNR is great for kids of all ages, even those who are too cool for school.MNR is 3 stories of educational fun. On the first floor, they have an amazing store, a cafe

Cory Walaitis: Fun place to check out. The floor being a birds eye view of the Twin Cities. Cool to pop in if you're already going to the museum.

Andy Jopling: Cool interactive exhibits.

Daniel J: Looked great, lots of exhibits and informative!

Van Wilder: Prepare to be captivated by the allure of the mighty Mississippi River as you embark on an unforgettable adventure through the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, history buff, or simply seeking a serene escape from city life, this national treasure promises to leave you with cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for the river's significance. The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, spanning over 72 miles through Minnesota, is a haven of natural beauty and cultural heritage. From its humble beginnings at Lake Itasca to its grandeur as it flows through the Twin Cities and beyond, the Mississippi River offers a diverse range of experiences to suit every visitor's desires. One of the highlights of this area is the abundance of recreational opportunities available. Hiking and biking trails wind along the riverbanks, offering picturesque views of the waterway and its surrounding landscapes. You can paddle your way through the gentle currents, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the river. The fishing opportunities are bountiful, providing a chance to catch a variety of fish species.History comes alive within the park's boundaries, and history enthusiasts will find themselves enchanted by the stories of early explorers, Native American cultures, and the region's industrial past. Don't miss the chance to explore the restored historic sites, visitor centers, and interpretive exhibits that offer insights into the river's role in shaping the nation's history and culture. For urban explorers, the section of the river flowing through the Twin Cities provides a unique blend of natural beauty and metropolitan allure. Iconic landmarks such as the Stone Arch Bridge and St. Anthony Falls offer breathtaking views of the river and the city skyline, making it a photographer's paradise. The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area also boast abundant wildlife. Birdwatchers will delight in spotting a wide array of avian species, including bald eagles soaring above the river. Keep an eye out for playful river otters and elusive deer that call this area home.

Mr. Sam7639: Amazing for the kids

Robert Norman: Quite un informative for a n p site

stuart symington: Great park

Michael Berman: Great camp ground right in town. Large very private sites. Play grounds near by. Has power and water at sites both 30amp and 50 amp available. Water park during summer. Many biking trails. Frisby golf and real golf near by. Staff friendly and leave you alone. Our site was gravel and pretty level. We booked late and ended up with the last site a giant 50amp pull through. Picknic table and fire pit. Note they do not rent or sell anything but wood so come prepared or shop the many near by stores.

John Kunkle: Nice place

Talina “Babs” Mickelson: So much to do!!

Nancy Doucet: I had a great experience, The lady was so friendly and helpful.

greg peterman: , and for $7 for wood it should be good fire wood and not pine that burns so quick

danwallaceorg: The staff is very helpful and friendly! A beautiful Park in a suburban setting. And, a very convenient dump station.

Zobar Kruk: Safe, quiet for the most part, good staff bathrooms are clean and it has showers. The bunker beach nearby is lots of fun!Bring your family and enjoy fun outdoors, be it a cabin, tent or rv.

Retained Perfection: Great place and people

Pack Man: It is not really close to MPLS/St. Paul. The place is noisy. We kind of knew what we were getting before we went so we rented a cabin instead of tenting it. Not somewhere we would typically go camping as we like secluded and quiet but if your okay with some city noise and looking for a quick get away that's pet friendly and kid friendly it's okay. Staff seemed friendly the little we interacted.

John Swanke: Went camping with another couple. The kids loved it. Nice clean campground with very friendly and accommodating staff. We are looking forward to going back next year.Noteworthy details: Indoor swimming pool, and outdoor mini golf. Nice little store on site.

Rice Creek Campgrounds: what do users think?

Tami Korum: Beautiful campgrounds! Very private lots, very clean. Everything is extremely well maintained. I would highly recommend camping here!

Brianna H: We have a 36 ft motorhome and could have fit into any of the campsites we saw in loop D. The campsites were big and level. We had a great time staying here close enough to the city to see the sights but far enough to relax. The campground is very clean and quiet. My only issue with the campground is the showers. There is no lock on the doors and if someone were to walk into the shower area there is just a clear shower curtain between you and the other person. There needs to be a lock on the shower doors or at least doors on the individual showers.Playground: Very clean and big near the restrooms and near the lake.Restrooms: Clean but the showers need work.Dog-friendliness: As long as your dog is on a leash and you pick up their poop.Picnic area: Great picnic area by the lake.

Jill Straight: This campground is awesome. Sites are nice and big and spread out. They have lots of pull through options for bigger rigs as well. But, bring plenty of bug spray or whatever you use to combat the mosquitoes cause they are bad!!!!

J & J: This looks like a nice place for camping, off the beaten track and nice folks to help you when needed.

Jessica: Always clean, nice campground spots, dog friendly.Playground: Two big playgroundsRestrooms: Lots of restroom accessDog-friendliness: Love that dogs are allowedPicnic area: Lots of tables

Sheri Lucas: Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash welcome but no pets near beach.

John David: A VERY well maintained, WELL managed campground. Very spacious sites where you can almost disappear amongst the trees. Be warned that it's packed on the weekends and make reservations EARLY. I tried to stay a few more days and Cathy went above and beyond, cheerully trying to find me an available site.

Pathias Moyo: Nice family environment, I like that everyone keeps their dogs on leashes and it's an overall good time.

sean berry: Love Anoka County Parks!

Lake Auburn Campground: what do users think?

Danny Walter: This place is great! We've been here twice. Once in a regular campsite and most recently at one of the "bike-in" sites. Both were well kept and clean. The amenities in terms of beach access, playground and hiking trails are plentiful. I loved the "bike-in sites". Easily accessable from the Three Rivers trail system with many signs leading the way, the sites had a fire ring, build in hammock poles, a bike rack, trash cans and a food locker. The bathrooms were only a few feet away as well. The bike sites are non-reservable so you just show up, pay the fee and you're all set.

Taylor OBrien: Clean great beach and great sites. One suggestion boat parking for campers

Rose Plush: This campsite has won me back to the possibility of camping. The spots were well manicured, and the amenities were well kept. The workers were painting the enclosures while we were there. The beach was beautiful. The only problems we found were the bugs. We were eaten alive by mosquitoes and flies. Otherwise, it was a very peaceful place.

Amanda Kneeland: It's a good place to go if you want simple camping. You can reserve a campground 1 year away and the one amazing site always goes booked for a year. They have bike trials so bring a bike. Sometimes you can rent one from them. You can rent a canoe too. Beach and playground. No electricity sites but they have a few that let you bring a generator. This isn't a place I'd recommend bringing the kids on 4th of July weekend. It does tend to get loud and obnoxious.

Michelle Ashton: Beautiful Area quite. Nice beach.Location: 5/5 …

Phae Drus: We were just passing through and stayed overnight. It was a pleasant quiet place but not very crowded since it was Oct and freezing temp overnight.

Paul Vaillancourt: Very clean well maintained grounds bathrooms and roads.

Cassandra Richmond: Love it here its small but always clean it does get booked up fast though

Sara: Beautiful place to experience nature. Very well maintained

Valerie Jane Garske: No electric hook ups smaller rigs no pull through. Well kept clean simple family camping. Just what I wanted

danny burford: Process of dumping RV waste on a Sunday with no workers was easy. Just scan the code, and pay. Create an account before you go. It took extra time to make the payment!

Troy Derosier: Great place to spend time with family

Salika Pao: I let my dog run around. It's a great place to visit.

Raquel Strickland: Lovely routes, clearly labeled by mile length

Patrick Larkin: Pretty dece park. I would like to know why the spring has such a large retention pond. I suspect it makes it prone to algae buildup. Beautiful upper prairie.

B Johnson Photos Brenda Johnson: Great hike through this National Park! Bring your dog! The dog park is adjacent.

Abdi Ahmed: I was wondering do people drink the spring water

No. 7: Ohhh how I love to visit this wonderful oasis.

Jesus Vazquez: Very beautiful! Sometimes it brings me back to the old days, and how beautiful it must have been in the early days.

Noah Kleinschmidt: A1 spring imo

Tara H: so we wouldn’t recommend if you happen to be super sensitive to smells. Trails are gravel, feels like walking on someone’s driveway, but nice to know you’re not getting covered in woodticks.

Vince McCannell-Unger: A great place for a moment of quiet and nature. Is a National Park.

Nick Marthaler: Great place for an all day nature walk or hike 👍👍

Lindsay Levang: Fun family walk!

Nate Rock: Used to come here for track and field in the 90’s. Nice 70 degree spring day. Took a quick jaunt around one of the smaller lakes. Folks of all ages were out and about with the eir dogs and/or children.

Sarah Huntley: This park is 30 minutes from me but well worth the drive. The visitor center is very accommodating with indoor bathrooms and kids spaces. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did a short paved walk because of time constraints but would love to go back and take the longer trails. There is a beach and multiple docks. The park is large so it never felt overcrowded. There is ample parking…My only complaint is the planes flying over which did take away from the nature aspect of the park.Still it is a beautiful destination and we will visit again.Restrooms: Both indoor and outdoor accessible bathrooms spaces at the visitor center.Dog-friendliness: Dogs were well mannered and enjoying themselves.Picnic area: Lots of open spaces to sit and enjoy a picnic

Faith Hunt: Ham Lake Campground is my familys favorite campground during the summer months. The staff, the events, food trucks, camp sites, cleanliness, and just everything about our multiple stays every year for last few years is just top notch. Cldnt ask for or expect anything better! The other guests/members, staff, and just about everyone you meet while there makes you feel like you belong and just want everyone to enjoy their time there. Im not rating membership with MOR or now TRA just the Ham Lake Campground Location itself and the on site experiences we had had.

margaret garvey: Peaceful!! Some of the best sunrises & senses in the area!

Mary Jo DeRusha: The water level is so low. I could still go kayaking but sad to see so much beach gone. The cabin was clean and the trail inviting for walking.

Paula Dotson: Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and a favorite place to stop on Vaction to visit for the day

B Mumm: Contrary to popular belief the water tates like chicken!

Janya K Comer: Great place! Amazing staff!

Greg Reeves: Good stay

Pete Belanger: Very relaxing. Friendly and helpful staff. Will stop again if in the area.

shirley belanger: Easy to get in/out. Loved the animal park.

Nicole Mazza: We have a membership to the resort and we love it closer to the cities so you get the rift raft but overall the lake is beautiful and clean

tom dirlam: Love this place, great to be back for 5th summer season. Facilities are very clean,

Brandi: Quiet and peaceful. Kept clean
