Paddle Share Station: what do users think?

Andrea Rodriguez: What a great setup!! Very easy to use, great instructions. Very affordable too. We will be using this again and doing other routes!

Emil: This day will forever stay in my memory with my friends that took me there, kayaking route was magical and staff helpful.

Tony Brown: Friends and I rented some kayaks and had a blast just cruising down the river. Some things to note: it's not tubing, you have to paddle... Not aggressively or anything there's time to chill and explore if you want but you definitely can't just let the river take you down if you want to make it to the end in time. Also, you pick up from a locker but when you drop off it's humans waiting for you so, don't go over your time and make them wait for ya.

Paige E.: Such a good time! So easy to use and reasonably priced. They have thee best customer service too!!

Paul B: Amazing experience as the River is often empty. It is a little bit of a hassle to get your kayak down to the river but much less than brining your own. Pro tip: You can scooter your way back to your car stopping at Psycho Suzi’s for a fun date.

matt: Had a great time

Nicholas “Nick” Berry: First time doing the Paddle Share. There is public parking at the park and the Kayak Paddle Share is a short walk down the trail. There’s also a Nice Ride bicycle rack at the park which was how we got back from Boom Island Park. There’s a Nice Ride bicycle rack where we were able to rent bikes to ride back to our car.At North Mississippi Regional Park where the Paddle Share Station is, there are signs from the parking lot. Once there, use the code you received in after you reserved a kayak to access all rental equipment. From there, it’s a short carry down a a sandy embankment to the river. It was a quick trip down the Mississippi to Boom Island Park. You are allotted 3 hours, but it really only takes about 1-hour so enjoy paddle and take in the beautiful scenery with the Minneapolis skyline down river.

mike chilson: Super cool idea. Really easy to use.

Hallie Leonard: My boyfriend and I had the best time hanging with Jeff as he guided us down the Mississippi. As an introverted and shy person I was worried that it would be awkward hanging with a stranger for so long but Jeff made it so easy. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the history and wildlife of the river so we learned so many interesting things. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience. Thanks Jeff and Paddleshare!!!!

pete murphy: Jeff took us down the Mississippi when the river was closed to unguided tours because we had traveled to Minneapolis from Rhode Island for my birthday. WE HAD THE BEST TIME. He was so knowledgable about the history of the area, the plants and animals, and the best local breweries. The owner of the company really went above and beyond for us. 6 star experience. Thanks guys!

Jesse Langanki: Great service, but cost is too high considering no transportation is included. Otherwise, would do this every weekend.

Joshua C. Alomar: Kayaks were great. Prices are great. Renting was easy.

Brian Niebler: My wife and I tried out paddleshare this summer. it was actually a lot of fun and way more affordable than renting kayaks at lake calhoun. You can rent online and paddle all the way down to Boom Island to drop them off. We then rented a bike from niceride station and rode back up to our car. Highly recommended if you're looking for an outdoor activity.

Paddle Bridge Guiding Collective: what do users think?

Ranee Kohner: Fantastic people place and time they couldn’t be better

Josephine Quealy: Had an excellent time with our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Sparky. A very well-organised, fun and beautiful day out. Going through the lock was a highlight for me. The paddling is easy going so if you’re inexperienced and not sure of your ability or fitness, you’ll be fine. A delightfully different way to experience a fabulous city.

Ryan Dufrene: I've been kayaking for a couple of years now in the Austin, TX area. Having grown up near the Mississippi River in Louisiana, I was very excited for the opportunity to kayak in the upper Mississippi. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing tour with Andy. Their local knowledge added a nice touch as they pointed out many things about the Twin Cities. Everyone we encountered on our trip to Minnesota was extraordinarily friendly and the Paddle Bridge crew was certainly no exception to that. Whether you have kayaking experience or not, or whether you're a local or visitor, you should book an excursion with Paddle Bridge! 10/10 would yak again!

Jenny Trucano: Kalen led a group of my coworkers and me on the Heart of Minneapolis tour, which was wonderful - great scenery, thoughtful perspectives on the history around the river, and smooth logistics.

Mary Bryan: All the stars for the great folks at Paddle Bridge! My son and I recently took the City of Birds tour, where we saw bald eagles, herons, egrets, cormorants, and beautiful scenery you can only see from the river. The views of downtown Minneapolis juxtaposed against the wild, bird-filled riverbanks were amazing! If you're nervous about kayaking on a big river in a big city, don't be. Our guide Jeff was informative and attentive, and made sure everyone knew how to paddle and properly fit their life vests. This part of the Mississippi River is clean, calm, and beautiful--it was almost like a lake. And Jeff took plenty of photos that were emailed to the attendees after the tour, so you don't need to worry about losing your phone or camera along the way. Thanks, Paddle Bridge, for providing such a unique, memorable experience. Can't wait to come back to MSP for another tour!

Allie Boutelle: . If you’re worried, I’d say that this tour along the river, the Heart of Minneapolis tour, is honestly very calming. The water is not at all rough. I don’t think the current is that strong at all either. They do a good job teaching you how to paddle and stay safe beforehand. The kayaks themselves are very sturdy. Just listen to the guides and you will be safe. Can’t wait to go again!

Renate Willer: I live in the twin cities and really enjoyed this tour! It was refreshing. Its so quiet down on the water and I really liked going through the lock!

Mike Pilgrim: 15 bucks to rent a kayak for a hr?! Hell yeah what a deal

Mesha Hill: Very beautiful to go for a walk or have a picnic

Heidi Lashroom: Always beautiful to be outside in nature.

Anna Rademacher: Very informative ride and relaxing float down the river. Would definitely do again when in the area

Diamond Turner: It was a great experience, very educational. I can’t wait to do it again! Lovely staff.

Julie Garner-Pringle: These guys are so great! Fun knowledgeable! Did three trips this season and plan more next summer as well! ❤️

LeeAnn Bera: We had a great experience on this kayak tour- we enjoyed learning some local history from the guides while traveling down the river and going through the lock with the kayaks was very interesting!

Kalia X: My little family had a great time on our Sunset Tour with Jeff. We are all beginners with two under age 13 and he was great at teaching us how to paddle correctly to prevent too much soreness afterward. In addition, our guide was full of knowledge about not only the history of Minneapolis but also all the cool events that takes place each year. The tour was just very relaxing with beautiful scenery. Everything from their safety vests, oars, to the kayaks are all in great shape. We goofed around a little bit in the water and it put my mind at ease to know that the kayaks wouldn't easily tip over. This is the first real activity I was able to do with my kids and I am so glad we did it with Paddle Bridge.

Victor Carmona: doing a great job. You can really tell how much they love what they do and you can see that during the tour because they guide you through great views of the city while they keep telling stories about it. Totally recommend.

Kris M: We really enjoyed this moderately paced kayaking tour and the river was beautiful. We learned so much about Minneapolis - our tour guide Jeff was very knowledgeable. He gave us recommendations for the city as well as in other Midwest states we were traveling to. He took some nice photos of us on the water and sent them to us afterwards.

Angela Ross: Kalen led three friends and I on the Heart of Minneapolis tour on July 4th, 2020 at 5:30 PM. We were given life jackets, water, and a lesson before we got into the kayaks. I gave my phone to Kalen to store in a dry bag that he kept in his kayak. I'm glad I had that option. Kalen told us about the history of the Mississippi River area as well as future developments. It was an absolutely wonderful tour and we would be happy to repeat the experience. Great for beginners.

Wheel Fun Rentals | Lake Harriet: what do users think?

Celestia: they get you your water craft and you're off. Super easy process. You also get a 15 minute grace period after the hour, gives you some time to paddle back before you start having to pay more.Note that they are not going to let you leave your belongings with them, they must come with you or be left on the shore. If you can, I would bring a dry bag, that was really handy in my experience.

Wheel Fun Rentals | Lake Nokomis: what do users think?

Brigid Lawrow: Loved the swans

Jeffery Yeager: We had lots of fun and the staff were very kind!
