Bridgette Jessen: I really enjoy shopping for jewelry making goodies at Beadhive. It's a delightful treasure of a bead store in the heart of Minneapolis. I like that the shop isn't too large inside and the bead variety is pretty diverse. You can find lots of gorgeous beads from Africa and other parts of the globe that will add a nice unique quality to your creations. Beadhive carries many different gemstone strands, Czech glass strands, metal and wood beads, and a great selection of chains. It's easy to get inspired while shopping here, too, with finished pieces on display to ogle. The owner, Becky, is so wonderful and helpful if you have any questions or would like to visit. The employees are all very attentive and helpful, too.Beadhive offers classes in a range of skillsets and they're very reasonably priced. The only downside to visiting here is that it's located off an extremely traffic heavy road and parking can be difficult. It's still worth checking out and staying awhile, though. 💜

I happily spent over a hour there finding the perfect beads for my project. There were beautiful unique beads and charms that you cannot get at a major retailer. Nook Sitsiinineez: Awesome native-owned gift shop. Books, indigenous foods to take home and make, native arts supplies for beading, pelts, candles, scarves, cook books, sweet grass, items for smudging, fur, native floral pattern fabric to make ribbon dresses, jewelry, stickers, blankets, leather, clothing. Variety of items for every budget. Almost like going shopping at a pow wow, but with more options. If you need to make anything for your regalia, you could probably find it here. Such a variety of items carefully curated. I could’ve spent all day here. The employees were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The store got pretty busy as I was leaving. Also a nice cozy couch in the corner by the window that was much appreciated as I waited in the warmth of the store for my Lyft.

Ian Taylor: I went here after months of searching for the right ring. I was introduced to Kelsey by my brother and his fiancé. He created her beautiful one of a kind ring and I was hoping he could do the same for me. I gave Kelsey full creative control of the creation of the ring, and trusting a stranger has never paid off like it did here. With just a few simple suggestions he created a masterpiece that I can’t wait to put on my girlfriend’s finger! I will be going back for the wedding band!

I called around to see who might be able to tighten it for me and New Gild said they could! I brought it in on a Friday afternoon and the jeweler tightened it while I waited within 5 minutes - they also polished my ring for me - it was just sparkling! - and didn't charge me for the visit. Will be visiting again for future jewelry needs!

A little touchy-feely, maybe, but the end design was worth it. She incorporated into the ring the twine wrapping of "zongzi", a hometown food my wife likes to cook, as well as some kind of texturing

He worked with me in detail on all aspects of the ring and created 3D printed models for me to try before deciding on the final design. The final product was exactly what I was looking for that my previous big online jewelry store was not able to create: a beautiful well proportioned bezel set, low profile ring that is very comfortable and easy to wear.
