Onyedimma Nwachuku: When I heard this place was closing its doors, I knew I had to try it once while I had the chance. Chicken legs, fries, brisket, ribs and a pastrami sandwich. Great smoky flavor in everything. Best pastrami sandwich I have ever had. The brisket was so tender it practically melted in my mouth.The BBQ sauce was amazing. My order also came with an orange color sauce. I have no idea what that sauce was but it was delicious.My only regret is not trying this place sooner. Few can do BBQ this well!

Brandon Schumann: This place is one of, if not the best BBQ joints in the Twin Cities. We like to order on site and then bring it over to Fair State Brewing a block away to pair it with a beer. Whitney Olson: If I could give this place a 10 I would. Today I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which was delicious and came on Texas toast. All their BBQ is always tender. My husband and I frequently get a full rack of ribs which are the best in town. Brisket is also great. In the summer fried green tomatoes are a treat. Overall everything I've ever had here is interesting, exciting and delicious. Amazing sauce and pickles.

Jerry Fudenberg: I had a bad order Monday and posted a bad review. To be fair I’ve been a market guy for 50 years and there’s a reason for that. When you get their normal ribs there are none better anywhere. They are with out a doubt the BEST!!!!

The first time I got them 1+ year ago my friend and I were blown away. Second time, very disappointed by the greens. Went from savory, melty texture to bitter and tough to chew. Afraid to spend $8 or however much it is on a gamble.Overall I enjoy the food. Good BBQ is tough to find in Minnesota.

Hannah did a great job working with us to plan our menu and then Bruno who delivered everything was very professional and helpful. Their prices are also very fair. BUT!!! The FOOD!!! Soooo good. We had about 60 guests and everyone was going back for 2nds and 3rds. Many asked for information for their future events and many more were already familiar with Q and big fans. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and thank the entire team for everything.

The proprietor helpfully gave me a tour of the menu before I ordered. Time spent from placing my solo order to eating was around 10 minutes. The rib tips were perfectly smoked and generously dressed in a tasty sauce with a perfect amount of zing/heat. The fried mushrooms were fine but lacked much flavor in the seasoning and breading. Still, the generous portion size made me happy.Taking a quick gander at the glowing articles posted on the walls, the accolades make sense. There are plenty of great options and I’m looking forward to repeat visits.

Roberta Scholer: You want to eat here! I had the ribs which were impressively tender and meaty with a terrific barbecue sauce. I also had a side of fried okra and the hot water cornbread. Just delicious. I had a bite of my friend’s brisket and coleslaw and those were both excellent as well. And those desserts! Definitely going back for those as well as collards and working my way through all the fish choices! The proprietor is a lovely fellow who cares about his product.

The gentleman working was friendly and the food came pretty fast. The sandwiches are served on onion buns and slathered in bbq sauce. Th mac n cheese was think and creamy, but not overly creamy. It's a very small place. There's only 4 tables. I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for great bbq.

Bryce Mitchell: Best ribs I've had since I went to Pecan Lodge in Dallas, TX, a few years back. I ordered some takeout in person tonight. I got the 1/2 lb of pork ribs and brought them home. They were amazing! I couldn't eat them fast enough. I would have got the waygu beef rib, but I didn't want to spend $50 on food tonight. Honestly, this is the best BBQ I've ever had in the Midwest. Nothing in the Twin Cities metro comes close to it, in my opinion. The flavor was there. They weren't overcooked and dry, but actually, juicy af. They were so tender that I was able to pull out the bones. You can tell they were smoked correctly. If you get the chance to go here, do it. Thank you, Boomin BBQ. I'll be back!
Sam Weisner: We came to Stillwater/Hudson area for a few days specifically to try Boomin, which did not disappoint. Pork ribs were insane. Cucumber/bell pepper salad was unreal. Slaw was very great, not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. The elote/esquites were a 0/10 for me despite the bartender's recommendation, as soon as frozen corn enters the situation it's going in the trash. Nova's cocktails were pretty unbalanced so that was a bummer. but the food generally was like 9.5/10
Eric J Wenz Sr: , but settled for pork rib tips and a side of slaw. To say the rib tips were the best I ever had would be an understatement. Super moist, plump, perfectly seasoned, and tender. The accompanying sauce was a light tomato/vinegar "meh" but it didn't matter because the rib tips held their own.Sides of perfectly pickled veggies and toast were a great accompaniment. However, the slaw was a complete miss. Watered down mayo-based dressing and copious amounts of black pepper made it a one-note side.The real disappointment is the location. Seeing past photos of Boomin BBQ in it's MPLS food truck days conjured communal vibes, throngs of people dining at picnic tables and enjoying the weather - a real option at a location so close to the riverfront. Instead, Boomin is relegated to a tiny hole in the back of a "poser" bar whose staff cares more about taking Instagram photos than helping customers.In short, the food is great, but order to go.

Best pulled pork sandwich I've had, really nice sized portion with jalapenos. I'm stuffed! The Cole slaw was really good as well and seasoned a little different from what I expected with dill, but still really good.

Pearl Vork-Zambory: Stopped in after getting my hair done across the street. I'd heard really good things, and, oh my word, I was not disappointed. Meaty, well seasoned, deliciously done. I got the six bone meal: six ribs, fries, coke slaw and toast. I'm what my mother would call a "good little eater", and it is unusual for me to not finish, but dang. Six meaty bones? I ate three, half the fries, the slaw and half the toast and was happy to leave the rest for the next day.

SQUASHUA: for $7. Cheaper, better and more filling than McDonald’s or any fast food place. The only downside is the service. The wait times can be a little long, I usually have to wait at least 15-20 minutes and there’s also nowhere to sit. I think they should at least throw a picnic table or two somewhere out there. But the dirt cheap prices outweigh the cons for me

We stood awkwardly in front of them but eventually moved to the side when we realized we wouldn't be seated right away. We almost walked out after waiting 10 minutes but were called to be seated as we were about to Google another spot.

Athina S: Our server Hoang/Andy was awesome!!!! He was funny, nice, and attentive! He checked on us the right amount of times and made sure our waters were refilled. He also brought out my friend her birthday dessert and it was MORE THAN AMAZING. The portions you get for the four person dinner was more than enough and such a GREAT DEAL!!! Wow we were blown away at what a great experience this was. This is the ONLY legit Asian bbq place in the whole state. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Minneapolis! Thank you Hoang! Please give him our praises and maybe a raise? 🤣

Kahley Steinmetz: The food was really good, we got samgyeopsal and pork bulgogi and the bulgogi was AMAZING!! It was tender and flavorful, and I loved getting it crispy on the grill! The side dishes were alright, I wasn't a fan of the potato salad or the broccoli? Like others mentioned it's pretty loud inside, both from the other customers and the music volume. Our server was really great, she checked in on us a few times throughout to make sure we had everything we needed! I was anticipating poor service from others' comments but we were well taken care of on a busy Friday night. Something I didn't like was that we had to order sides of rice, it didn't come with the meat orders or anything else. I'm not likely to come back anytime soon just because of the volume inside, but I'd definitely bring friends if we wanted a decent kbbq experienceParking: There's a parking garage between Lake St & Lagoon, we paid $7 for two hours of parking. There's free street parking a few blocks away from Hennepin if you're willing to do some walking
B A: Hoban Korean Barbecue is such a great and unique dining experience that I highly recommend trying at least once. They have the traditional Barbecue grilling experience with the grill in the middle of your table that you can grill your own meats on. They have a great and delicious assortment of different cuts of meats to choose from. All of the meat choices I've tried have been absolutely delicious. You get a ton of sides and vegetables along side your meats and can make some really cool dishes. The service was great and friendly. Its a fun experience to do with friends or family.

Alex Stephens: This little restaurant was great. It’s located inside the midtown Global market building, along with other food vendors. Mr. Robinson and Mr. Marshall were outstanding. Took care of us really well. We had a lot to eat and recommend just about everything. The pork tips were a bit dry, but their spicy BBQ sauce was on point. Ribs, excellent. Brisket, excellent. We had their million dollar wings and be careful, when they say wings, they give you all the section of wings. They do not scrimp on that so make sure you don’t over order like we did 😅! The collard greens were on👏point👏. The black eyed peas needed something, maybe a touch more salt, but couldn’t put my finger on it. They even brought out their brisket chili for us to taste test. It was delicious. It looks like they have it on special every once in a while so if it’s there the day you go, highly recommend that you try a little bowl. It was good. Just spicy enough and chili flavor came through. Great job guys!
CAMOFLAJ JONES: I work here at the Midtown global market. And I’m telling y’all this place has the best brisket I’ve ever had in my life! I mean slap yo mama good lol. The brisket chili is off the chain, the catfish is the bomb, and everything goes really well with every side you can choose. If you’re ever in the Midtown global market, make sure you visit this place. And did I mention they also sell smoked meats by the pound, serve meals to feed entire families and lunch specials! You won’t be disappointed !!!
