Joy Avery: It's so much fun to wander through this store especially if you want to spend an hour, not just pop in for what you need. I love markers and probably have way too many but am always looking for new ones. The only complaint I have is that most of the markers are under lock and key. I'm sure they would gladly unlock all the cases so I could take my hour closely looking at every single marker but I've never asked them to do that. So that's my only complaint. Otherwise top notch.

Nanette Taylor: I can usually find all the supplies that I’m looking for all my projects. And for many years I’ve had my artwork scanned and color corrected. Wonderful support and quality prints. However, disappointing to find out they won’t be replacing their large printer that broke down to make prints from original artwork. Now, they send it out for printing instead of in-house. I will have to find another company to make prints of my artwork. Disappointing.

kinderhood: Super cool. They changed it around from how I remembered it. I needed Acrylic Painting Supplies, and I kind of went crazy cause I didn't know what I needed, and I just kept adding things to my bunch. I went for brushes, they had so many I was overwhelmed. It took a bit and the people were patient with me taking my time. They have some nicely defined sections and areas and I was super happy when I got home cause I got exactly what I needed. The 2 people running the shop were very nice to me.

Jenny Solem: I'm in love with this store. It's very expansive inside, and has an incredible variety of supplies/mediums. They also carry items I've never seen in chain stores, including art specific ones. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and competetive with what you may see elsewhere.

Raven Pluim: Pictured is the artwork I purchased, I forgot to ask if I was allowed to take pictures in the gallery before I went in. When I return, I shall ask if pictures are allowed, and if I am given the go ahead, I will post newer pictures.My first art gallery I've ever visited. The owner was nice and respectful, and curated a diverse of art styles for the enjoyment of patrons. Not only this, but prints and greeting card versions of artwork was provided at a price patrons of lesser economic standing could afford. The art here really spoke to me, Marty Maehr's artwork was something I liked the most. Unfortunately, Maehr's work was out of my means to purchase, but I'll tell you it has the simplicity of mosaics from before the Renaissance, but had color blending that was many levels beyond simply eye popping. I recommend this establishment highly. Mr. Dow's art has set a high bar for future art galleries for me.

A P: This is a beautiful gallery that showcases many rotating Minnesota artists: whether the medium is photography, sculptures, or paintings. The owner's mission is to showcase working artists in his beautiful gallery where the artists get support to display their work to the public and where they are able to receive a living wage for their pieces. It is a true partnership between the gallery and the artists. I absolutely love this mission. Currently there is a Ukrainian artist who is one of the artists displaying their work there. Go buy some beautiful art and help artists make a living in what they love to do. There's really something for everyone at this gallery. Last but not least, they also do custom framing, which is absolutely the best! I just can't say enough good things about this place and its owner... he's an immigrant himself that moved with his family when he was a youngster and he is so incredibly humble and genuinely the nicest guy. Go check them out!

The gallery itself is filled with a huge amount of very high quality work of many different styles, and the art framing services provided there are absolutely top-notch. I brought in 4 very different pieces, and we spent a good deal of thoughtful time selecting what we thought would be the best settings for them. I just picked everything up, and couldn’t be happier with the end product. You get what you pay for at this gallery, and Khanh Tran is absolutely outstanding and a joy to work with. Thanks, Khanh!

The art here is consistently of the highest quality and the different styles all come together to create a very welcoming community in the Elliot Park neighborhood. Make a plan to attend an opening night celebration in addition to the closing night party. Live music and other performances can be seen at this intimate gallery during those events. I highly suggest becoming a member as you get free entrance to events and other great perks. The membership price is affordable & a payment plan is an option. Artist talks typically occur during the regular exhibits & are emceed by solid members of the greater art community. I make sure to budget an annual membership to solidify my spot in the art community because the viewers are an important part of it.

christina marie Johnson: Absolutely ADORE Gamut Gallery! Founded by two out-of-this-world bad a** women! Gamut hosts several events throughout the year that are free to their members or can gain entry by paying a small fee. The space in itself offers a lovely front area with a showcase displaying some items for purchase and a few shelves, and then has the main gallery space just beyond that. They have been open for almost 10 years! And I am excited for their next 10! Support local art and stop in! Check them out on facebook and Instagram as well for updates on events!
